About 2 weeks ago I was able to visit this fantastic restaurant with my partner. We were warmly welcomed, our jackets were taken away and our table was right in front of the fireplace. For the ambience an excellent 5/5, lots of candles and dimmed lights in an old Schmitte with lots and lots of charm. Even before we made the reservation, we pointed out our intolerances, which were confirmed, discussed and clarified before the menu began. We felt like we were in the best hands from start to finish. With the menu we ordered there were 2 delicacies (truffles & caviar) which we ordered for an additional charge. With the tasting menu of 7 courses, all of which come in 2 parts, it's a must! The dishes served all came on different plates and gradually built up the aromas. A plate more unusual than the previous one with products from the region. The plates were professionally explained and allergens were omitted without incident. Here too we gave it 5/5 for charming service and excellent cuisine. Many thanks to the whole team for this unforgettable evening, bravo!

This restaurant is a true gem! I cannot wait to try the new seasons menu whenever it comes out. Each meal is a new discovery that is both creative and exciting. Stephan Koltes uses fresh local herbs and flavours and elevates it in an unexpected way. I have dined all over the world and I’d go back to this restaurant any day.

Beautifully artistic and creative in every way, both with the decor and dishes. Quality ingredients and service, and magical atmosphere. You definitely don’t miss this experience!

We had the tasting menu with wine pairings and caviar, basically the full board and experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a fine eye to detail, presentation and produce. The wine selection was impressive, the food that was combined was immaculate and the cherry on top was being served by the chefs themselves who knew every single detail about the dish that was served to me.. Expensive yes! But i would gladly pay double knowing what kind of care, professionalism and perfectionism that goes into each and every dish. Amazing 10/10 if i can rate this restaurant more than 5 star…. Kudos to the team and thank you 1milliom

Top culinary taste experience. Interesting creations. Specially elaborately prepared. Cozy atmosphere. Very friendly service, thanks for the coffees to bridge the long wait for dessert. Ambiance awesome. Costs... You have to take a very large wallet with you.

A meal truly for all the senses. I've been there several times and really enjoyed everything. Creativity everywhere! In addition to the visually sensational, very tasty food, I am also always amazed by the incredibly beautiful and so different dishes. And for those who doubt small portions: everyone gets full. 😊

We had the tasting menu and it was great. The food was very, very good, beautifully presented and expertly explained. The ambience and the service are really sensational. The old charm of the workshop was retained, a cozy fireplace and atmospheric lighting. All in all, a great experience that you should treat yourself to every now and then.

One of those places that is overhyped by a very specific clientele. I would like to give my reasons using a specific example: It was my mother's birthday and we chose the restaurant as a location for 5 people. Ambiance is a matter of taste, I think it's very nice. First point of criticism, the selection: there was only 1 vegetarian menu and 1 meat menu, both with the same starter. Plus very 'difficult' menus; Starter was a variation of beetroot, the main course for the meat menu was game. There are no options if someone doesn't like the food. The food itself was very good. Drink selection is also difficult, for example there is no champagne (we were told later that it does exist). Furthermore, many little things came to light that struck us as unpleasant; So there is no 'small gift' for the birthday child, such as a candle or a small cake, even upon request. As a matter of principle, the cutlery is not exchanged even after 5 courses. And that at a price of almost 800 for 5 people. Happily. The fact that we had a VERY inexperienced waitress who was nice but totally incompetent is actually unreasonable for a restaurant at this price level. When the device had problems with the payment, my poor mother was besieged by the boss for 10 minutes and had to give her address and credit card details (INCL. PIN NUMBER! Unbelievable) until they realized that the payment had worked after all. All very unpleasant. Conclusion: good food, nice atmosphere but clearly too sophisticated and expensive for a service and offering that is better in the pizzeria around the corner. I hope the house of cards collapses soon.

The experience we had was absolutely incredible. The restaurant itself is very cozy and quiet with a historic charm. We did the 5 course menu with the wine pairing. The wines they chose were so well matched that even wines we would have usually not picked ourselves were great. They started with white and moved onto red as the courses progressed. As far as food, every dish was so thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. From the celery dumplings (who knew celery could be the star of the show?) to the raviolo with smoked chicken, the meal was cohesive and flowed very well. Last but not least, the service was what put this experience over the top. They were so knowledgeable about every element and were overall wonderful. We had a great fun date night here, and we’re really blown away.

Exceptional evening! This restaurant is totally underrated and undervalued! We ate a 5 course menu. Each dish was of absolutely extraordinary quality and graphics! The cellar was a little sad,... The humble corn service very attentive and efficient. I recommend without reservation... Before this place becomes priceless.

Still a relatively new restaurant in Thun, but we really liked it and will definitely come back! We had the 3-course surprise menu, the courses of which, including the amuse-bouche, blended together really well. Example: the amuse-bouche was a parsnip flan. We then received a Japanese-style root vegetable creation, which was later followed up by a chicken gyoza. The chicken was then served again in the main course with winter vegetables. Very well thought out and beautifully presented and explained! In addition to the 3-course menu, there is also a 5-course surprise menu or a tasting menu. However, the latter was not offered during our visit because the quality of a delivery of ingredients was not up to par. We thought it was great that quality was paid attention to and communicated so transparently. There are also à la carte courses with which you can put together your own menu. We also really liked the design of the restaurant: the entrance is inconspicuous but the interior is beautifully decorated, nestled against the castle hill. A great experience!

We went to a “tasting menu” on Burgstrasse yesterday evening. From A-Z an ensemble of wonderful creations! From simply simple to unusually sophisticated. Just awesome! And all of this with local products - brilliant! From home-baked bread to macarons and sorbet! The atmosphere is super cozy and very inviting! The open kitchen provides interesting insights into what is happening, at least from our table. Service was very friendly, attentive and extremely pleasant. Here you can see the love for cooking and the job. We will be back!! Thank you :-)

Great and sustainable concept in a beautiful ambience. The tasting menu meets all expectations and certifies high-quality cuisine. The “double” courses generate a variety of flavor explosions and are guaranteed to fill you up. There are also first-class wines recommended by the very friendly service staff. We can fully recommend this restaurant for gourmets and would be happy to come back.

Everything was right. The service was great, explained everything thoroughly and was very friendly. In an ambience that transports you to another time, we incredibly enjoyed the exquisite and very tasty dishes, carefully prepared with great creativity and perfect combinations. Stephan Koltes is very talented and experienced in his profession and his menu is worth trying out! An unforgettable experience for us!

Great service, good cuisine, everything regional (fish from the Grabenmühle in Sigriswil, veal from Iseltwald, from which the entire half of the veal is bought and used). Where else can you get such regional products and the information that the calf was named Eduardo? This is exactly how an innovative, modern and sustainable fine dining kitchen should work. Very interesting concept with two-part courses, whereby the products are first “introduced” and then completed as a dish. Wine advice including a visit to the wine cellar, as well as great digestifs that suit every taste. We'll be back, 100/100 points!

4 gourmets from Krattigen were deliciously entertained. The plates were poetry to the eye and the various flavors harmonized perfectly. The cellar offers a varied, good selection of wines. Service very friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio is within a very good range. We will be back!!!

Wow - we are happy Thun has a new top boss! We had the tasting menu with 9 courses - each course was preceded by a suitable amuse = 18 culinary highlights! Excellent says it best - we will definitely come back.

The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Each plate is unique and tastes simply wonderful. I'll definitely come back. The concept is innovative and I have never experienced it like this before. Definitely worth a visit. You won't regret it. For each course, the chef/waiter explains what is on the plate and how it was prepared. A real culinary experience not to be missed.

Maître d'hôtel Corentin suggested Swiss wines and served his kir with a twist (white wine and Manzoni instead of cassis). Impeccable service and Stefan's cuisine will definitely be something to talk about. A welcome bonus: English, French and German spoken here. Bravo Stefan on this new venture, next time we shall come earlier for the full tasting menu! Definitely a slightly different gastronomy!
