We had a great meal outside. Unfortunately, a dog was able to sit on the armchair next door and the owner fed him from the table and he was allowed to borrow the plate. We are horrified to see this. It's a shame

We had a family dinner at Burkartshof and were thrilled with the service's food.

Were there on Sunday lunchtime and there was a lunch menu. For 45.- we received soup, salad, beef entrecôte with plenty of fries and a nice selection of vegetables, as well as a berry coup for dessert. SUPER value for money with a great ambience and very friendly and attentive service! Everything perfect! FYI: There was no vegetarian option on the menu. You might have to ask here.

For lunch, the tired hiker can expect a single dish: “Schnipo”. They rudely threaten you with a very long waiting period if you want to order something else. We allowed ourselves the freedom to ignore this inhospitable place and continued hiking.

Due to its somewhat remote location, embedded in nature, the restaurant is also ideal as a stopping point for hikers and cyclists. A reservation during peak times is recommended.

Very tasty restaurant with a cozy atmosphere! Inconspicuous from the outside, but a real insider tip. If the temperatures permit, you can sit on the cozy terrace. The staff is friendly and organized. The food was very tasty. We were there on the weekend, then there are 3 menus to choose from. The menu includes a soup, a salad, a main course and a dessert.

Always super fine food & top service. I always enjoy going there, also because of the beautiful location.

We ordered cutlets 5 times and they were all far too tough and of the 3 sauces that came with them, 2 of them were far too spicy for my standards. It's a shame, we've been there several times and have always been happy, but yesterday the boss didn't even show up. So apart from expenses, nothing happened.

The food, especially the meat, was delicious for everyone. The waitress (she was alone and the whole garden was full) actually did a very good job. It's a shame that she forgot two or three things (including the grappas she ordered), but since she was alone, no blame. On days like this I would recommend the boss to have someone to help him (one who only clears up and brings food)... Otherwise really great!!

Just came home through the doorstep and headed towards my sons' room to tell them about my great meal at the Burkhardshof restaurant! Yes, apparently the two of them were guests there before me and were also enthusiastic. The card is versatile and cheap, or the price-performance ratio is right. The portions can be ordered in any three sizes "small / medium / large hunger! The meat (I ordered veal sirloin steak) fried to perfection, tender and crispy = delicious, the vegetables al dente, the fries are great! The service, very accommodating and friendly... It's worth a visit!

We were very dissatisfied with the service, very poor performance. All the people around us were served their food, even those who ordered after us. When we complained about it (after waiting almost 2 hours!!), the waitress apologized that our receipt had been lost in the kitchen. Our food will be made soon. Then it took another half hour until it was served. We waited in vain for the boss to apologize, but he had the opportunity. We were generously not charged for a small drink each. Of course we were allowed to pay for the large drinks ourselves. A pity. We've eaten there several times, but we don't know yet whether we'll come back. But it is more than questionable.

Zuerst gab es eine (gratis) Minivorspeise. Alle 6 Personen wurden gleichzeitig bedient. Der Service war liebenswürdig. Das Essen war sehr ausgewogen: Fleisch (richtig gebraten), Gemüse (gute Auswahl), Pommes-frites (Spitze). Der portugiesische Wein war hervorragend (Magnumflasche). Der Wirt spendierte noch ein "Schnäpsli" zum Kaffee.

Wer Fleisch liebt kommt um dieses Restaurant nicht herum. Küche wie immer hervorragend. Service wie immer mangelhaft. Ist schade, wenn man sich den ganzen Abend als Störfaktor vorkommt. Aber man besucht ja den Burki nicht wegen dem Service sondern der super Küche.

The food was great and looked really great. The portions are more than enough. There is a star deduction for the rather long waiting time. To be fair, it has to be mentioned that the restaurant was very full.

Super Küche! Sehr familiär geführt, die Räumlichkeiten nicht auf den neuesten Stand, aber die Terrasse ist bei schönem Wetter grandios. Unbedingt Platz lassen für Dessert!

Auf dieses Restaurant kommt man nicht von alleine, da es eigentlich weit abgelegen von der Hauptstrasse liegt, und doch ist man schnell vor Ort. Super Parkplatz Angebot und eine relativ grosse Terrasse sieht man von aussen. Und doch würde man nicht unbedingt dort einen halt machen, wenn man es eben nicht besser wissen würde. Es handelt sich um eine einfache Beiz (Restaurant), die aber wie bereits in den Kommentaren von mir erwähnt, für Fleischliebhaben fast ein muss ist.Das Essen, wir hatten Rindstatar als Vorspeise, als Hauptgang das Rindsfilet mit Twister-Frites und als Dessert einen warmen Schoggokuchen mit Vanilleeis.Bei der mittleren Portion (mittlerer Hunger gem. Speisekarte) des Rindsfilet erhält man bestimmt ca. 350 gr. Fleisch von bester Qualität. Werden das Restaurant bestimmt wieder besuchen.
