Butcher Street Pub in Aarau

Nice place with live music. Very nicely decorated. You really feel like you're in a real Irish or Old English pup.

My absolute favorite in Aarau to have a drink with friends in the evening.

Unfortunately you have to get the beer yourself at the bar. If you don't know, you'll wait a long time... too long.

To chill out after work in a really dignified way. Friendly service.. Very large selection of beers, drinks and mixes. cool music. But. It was a lot of fun and really ventilated my soul. Let's go chill again...

Very basic beer choice. Steep prices. The worst: lots of smokers. Avoid at all cost if you don't smoke!

A decent drink - with a fag - in honor, who wants to deny it? Recommended for every passionate smoker and drinker... even if the prices are high... It's nice that there are still such uncomplicated, honest places ;-)

The Butcher Street Pub is a very cozy pub. It's a good idea to enjoy 1 or 2 beers here in one evening because it's very central. Since the pub is age-restricted, the atmosphere is not very loud and exciting.

One of the best pubs/smoking bars in Aarau with a very good beer selection. It has been “unfortunately” smoke-free since May 2019.

An Irish pub. The Irish cider isn't that bad. Good sound, all the time. Beautiful women. I actually avoid pubs because you have to get your own beer, but it's easier at the bar. Super nice attentive staff. Lots of live performances from local bands on the weekend. Best pub in Aarau. Gives the impression that you are far away from Aarau, in Galway or somewhere else in Ireland. Recommended!!!

Cool pub, cool music, a little expensive...

A few international beers (Guinness, Smithwicks, Brooklyn etc) on tap. Pub atmosphere. With outside seating in summer

Liked the Sierra Nevada PA and the non- alcoholic Caipirinha Soda. Great to sit outside and enjoy old Town Aarau

Nice small pub with good atmosphere!

The Butcher's is almost perfect! Great bar owner and rest of staff, good drinks and okay prices (Switzerland is expensive sadly), great music and fantastic atmosphere. As a woman, I've never been harassed and feel safe and comfortable there at any time! The only downside is that it is a bar where smoking inside is allowed (and done a lot).
