5 stars? Yes, a gentle walk along the Aare River to the Thunsee with this picture perfect cafe at the end and the Alps in view the whole time. No trash, no hassles, quiet couples swimming in the river... A good beer, a glass of wine. This is quintessential Switzerland.

Nice snack surrounded by water, mountains and lots of people. Many guests have to wait in line for 10 minutes just to place their food order. The subsequent waiting time for fries and falafel was around 15 minutes.

Fantastic ambience. Unfortunately, the food was just lukewarm and didn't fill the stomach anymore. Tables felt like they were never cleaned all day, sticky and dirty.

Price for a beer and a glass of sparkling white wine if you pick it up and clear it yourself CHF 15.-. This price is incomprehensible and exaggerated. If it's local beers, a little introduction to the beer would make sense. Not that it almost knocks you out and tightens all seven holes when you drink it.

Great location right on the lake. Newly built. Looks very nice and modern. The coffee is good. The garden tables are placed so that you have a beautiful view of Lake Thun and the mountains. Almost like a holiday mood! Next to it is a large lawn with swimming facilities. There are clean and well-kept changing rooms and toilets. There is also a playground within sight. Perfect for a family trip with children. It has everything you need!

At first I was honestly shocked that you only get a few fish crispy for 19.-. BUT when I took a bite.............I was thrilled! These were the BEST fish crispies I have ever eaten. Very high quality and filling. I also really liked the house syrup with elderberry. The Buvette has a concept with attention to detail. For example, what you see with the herbs on the terrace (looks nice and repels insects 👌👍👍) and for example the type and appearance of the ashtray....... all in all TOP... I'd love to come back too in summer because you could swim in the lake right next door. 🤩 ❤️ I LOVE THUN ❤️ THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY IN SWITZERLAND 🎉

Super nice bistro on Lake Thun, I was there on SUNDAY with my wife and children, there was something for everyone: sandwiches, ice cream, ice coffee and even after 6 p.m. Dad got a Moretti beer ☀️🥪🍦🧊☕️🍻🥂⛴

WOW! Absolutely amazing sandwiches! I love the atmosphere.

Map rather poor. Nice weather warm but closed at 6 p.m. I guess they don't want to make any money. I'm starting to wonder when the operators still want to make money. The heating in the toilet is running at full speed. But it's not the operator's problem, it's the community's problem. All in all 1 star is too much. Hope it gets better.

The opening ceremony of the Buvette in Hilterfingen was on August 6th, 2021. It has 2 toilets - one of which is also accessible to disabled people. Even if the buvette is closed, you can use a toilet free of charge. The view from the buvette is breathtaking. You have a clear view of the mountains and Lake Thun. There is also a cloakroom for bathers.
