It's almost impossible to do more, the moment you enter the restaurant you just feel at home, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The quality that comes from the kitchen is very high. Thank you for this wonderful evening.

Me and my daughter made an online reservation for her birthday. We asked for the table at the front. We got it! At the end they made our dessert free because it was a birthday lunch. There was a complementary entree from the kitchen. All the food was very delicious and also super esthetic. I’ll take my husband here next in a date. The water was very friendly and it was just such a wonderful experience.

I visited the restaurant with my friend on a Saturday evening. We were greeted in a very friendly manner by the service staff and they even introduced themselves by name. Great location! Such beautiful restaurant interior decorated. About the food: Really great menu, great food, the dishes themselves (as you can see in the pictures) were beautifully prepared. The various components of the meal were all very well cooked and, in my opinion, perfectly seasoned. The food was really excellent. I really recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a nice evening with family/friends and lives near Thun. One of my best dining experiences so far. Thank you!!😍👍

We celebrated our wedding at Oberhofen Castle and were completely satisfied! The preparation, the food, the service and the organization of the evening left nothing to be desired. Only recommended!

The castle was closed so I ended up dropping by this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and didn’t mind that I was only there for a cup coffee because I had already eaten elsewhere. I was ready to be overcharged for a coffee because the view is fabulous, but it turned out to be nothing but reasonable. Loved this place!

It was our last night in Switzerland and we were so happy that we spent it at Schloss Oberhofen. The view is unbeatable, the food was delicious, but most of all Tristan made our experience fabulous. He was funny, gracious, and knew how to make an evening magical!

Magnificent room on the shores of Lake Thun

Magnificent place on the edge of the lake, very well received by the staff. Just a small downside for dessert. But it was well worth the detour.

I have been here with all my family. The service was perfect and the view astonishing. Everyone was super nice and polite, and the food was quick but delicious. Even my 5 years old boy received a super warm welcome and was very happy to eat there. Definitely we're going to visit it again.

It's pretty far out from the tourist spots but restaurant sits on a water edge with a lovely view especially at sunset. Menu is small with food made mostly from local produce, which is unique. Service was excellent and food was also very good and portion size quite decent. We were so full that we did not finish all the mains and could not even take desserts. Recommended for a romantic or cosy dinner.

Went to the Schloss Oberhofen restaurant for the first time today and definitely not the last time! The restaurant is very well maintained and furnished with attention to detail. The large windows and beautiful bar counter are an absolute highlight - simply a great atmosphere! Despite the full restaurant and terrace, the service staff was attentive and relaxed. Even the boss personally took the time to exchange a few words with us. The food was a great match for the completely satisfied day trip to the castle. Perfectly fried saddle of venison which was flambéed and served at the table, juicy zander with a particularly delicious sauce and finally a Hokkaido pumpkin variation (sweet), which was also incredibly tasty. =) We are looking forward to the next time!! We recommend!!

We discovered this restaurant by chance and, really, we don't regret it! Everything was perfect, the quality of the cuisine as well as the service! Plus, a breathtaking view of the lake! A must!

Terrible service. We sat at a free table, the waiter says nothing for 15 minutes then she says table is reserved. No signs on the table to mention the reservation, we were not offer another table. Will never try again

We have been collaborating with the Restaurant Schloss Oberhofen for years. The location is absolutely beautiful - a true gem along the beautiful Lake of Thun. Now under management of Tristan, this venue is once again exceeding the expectations from our clients from around the world. Beautiful floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the lake. Didn't try the a la carte menu but had a few cakes and a drink. Cakes are very reasonably priced.

Attracted by the great location, we rode the racing bikes to the castle. Instead of a friendly “welcome” we were warned that the bikes were not to be left on the terrace (which was never our intention). When we were finally served and asked about a milk alternative, we were definitely down. The tea came 20 minutes before the cake (which guests who arrived later received before us). The cake was good, but we will never come back.

Service OK, but not over the top. We were escorted to the table and then no one came for 10 minutes. I then had to announce myself that we would like an aperitif. The service, even if it was really friendly, was far too friendly for a restaurant in this league. Otherwise, great food and everything was wonderful!

The location is really outstanding. Through the huge windows you can see directly the nice lake Thun. It's like dining in the lake. The food is more or less italien based and delicious. Staff is freindly and the service quality is high. We really enjoyed it. I can recommend the octopus starter!

The main course was a work of art (agnolotti), salad was delicious, service was friendly, view of the lake was sensational! Good price-performance ratio!

Quite a nice little cozy restaurant with a great view over the lake, big glass windows allow much light and give it a special view outside. Nice terrace. Friendly staff, manager okay not over the top service but other staff superb. The food is okay, soup was missing taste, chicken was a bit dry, overall ok but nothing memorable. Good open wine selection, good bottle selection. The view is the best about this place for sure, outside is the castle which give is also very nice touch. Almost rated 3 stars but because of the view and such 4 stars.

As an individual guest, I can highly recommend this restaurant. Very nice location and very good food. However, I would no longer hold a wedding or organize banquets there. Suddenly there were other guests present at our wedding and we were assured that we were a closed group. In addition, VAT was added to the invoice, although this was included in our offer. The offered dish was also not served. Salad with huge prawns - salad with 3mm prawns was served.

It is a port on Lake Thun, with a very Magical Castle. Whether arriving by boat or walking along trails; You can see a very beautiful panoramic view in any season of the year.

Eine sehr angenehme Überraschung in dieser speziellen Zeit sowohl auf eine wunderbar freundlich kompetente Crew zu treffen, und dann auch noch hervorragend zu speisen. Das ganze in einem wunderschönen Restaurant in alten Mauern mit modernem Ambiente. Mittagsmenue im Preis Leistung hervorragend!

Location great: had a cafe outside. Staff friendly but seems a bit disorganized. It is cleared away, but the new guests are not asked for an order until 10 minutes later. The guests at the next table couldn't order at all and after an eternity they changed to the restaurant!!! It's a shame, because with this beautiful location and the high prices, it should work better...

Fantastic weather today, but unfortunately for you we had to experience a negative time! We won't be visiting them again and won't recommend it to anyone...what a shame!

Nous voulions profiter de visiter le château lors de " Journée suisse des châteaux ". Venus en voiture, nous avons trouvé un beau garage couvert environ 200 m plus à l'est. Nous avons marché jusqu'à l'entrée du château. Nous avons vu en premier le restaurant, nous nous sommes installés avec l'idée de prendre l'apéro avant de visiter le site. Nous nous sommes attardés : nos voisins de table dégustaient une planche(tte) de charcuterie variée italienne. Nous avons commandé la même chose et 3 dl de vin blanc Cure d'Attalens. Nous avons tellement aimé... n'avons pas pu finir ce délicieux apéro que ... nous n'avons plus eu le temps de visiter le château. Un petit aperçu : l'extérieur du château, MAGNIFIQUE ! Nous reviendrons dès que possible !

We were thrilled! A really classy restaurant with a beautiful view of Lake Thun and Niesen. The service staff was very warm and funny! The food was very tasty and beautifully prepared... Thank you very much - we'll be back!

Unprofessional and unfriendly. The reserved room was still occupied when we arrived at the agreed time. The more expensive wrong aperitif was served and charged for too many guests. There is no trace of hygiene regulations in Corona times (50 people cannot fit standing up in this mini room). All around a disappointment. We will never go there again and do not recommend it to anyone. Better go to Pier 17 right next door.

There has been no response to this email for a week... Dear Mr. Oliveira, We are the people responsible for the Stöckli/Wälti wedding which takes place on Friday September 25th had the wedding aperitif with you. We would like to give you feedback because the aperitif was unfortunately disappointing. I come from the catering industry myself and attend many weddings. So I know how hectic it can be, especially when there are several weddings to look after. But as far as I'm concerned, it's a no-go to leave the wedding party waiting in the rain because you haven't finished setting up yet and there are other guests in this reserved place fifteen minutes before the aperitif starts! room hosted. We are aware that we arrived at your restaurant a little earlier than expected. But in my opinion you have to take this into account. Furthermore, we didn't get the wine or aperitif we ordered. Not to mention that with 50 guests present, the groom's father had to pay Fr.33 per person for 55 guests (the order was Fr.24 per person). Plus the Moscato that I ordered and the wrong white wine. All of this was taken into account. Sorry, but that is very unprofessional! The aperitif area was very tight for 50 guests and I was told that some guests were yelled at by the service staff because of the distancing rules. But in this small area, no one could adhere to the distance rules! The bride and groom, the father of the groom and we are unfortunately very disappointed and cannot recommend your beautiful but unprofessional location in this context. Wir (9 Personen) haben am Sonntagabend das wunderschön gelegene Restaurant am Thunersee besucht. Die für uns zuständige Kellnerin hat uns sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und kompetent bedient. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt an diesem Abend im Schloss. Der grosse Tisch war schön gedeckt, die Teller sehr ansprechend angerichtet und das Essen schmeckte hervorragend. Was aber schon bei der Vorspeise auffiel und sich beim Hauptgang erneut zeigte: Die Portionen waren unglaublich klein. Auf die Frage, ob es recht sei, antworteten wir: „Es ist sehr lecker aber leider viel zu wenig um satt zu werden“. Zu unserer Enttäuschung reagierte die Kellnerin, die beim Abräumen half, nur mit einem verlegenen Lächeln. Wir hätten bei einem Restaurant in dieser Preisklasse erwartet, dass man uns irgend eine Option angeboten hätte. Enttäuscht und hungrig bezahlten wir die Rechnung. Der Abend, der so schön begonnen hatte, endete damit, dass wir uns zu Hause noch etwas kochten, um unseren Hunger zu stillen. Sehr schade!

Unfortunately not recommended and very unprofessional. The wedding reception was not ready when we arrived with the guests. It wasn't the aperitif we ordered that was served, but something. The boss wasn't there to draw his attention to it. Towards the end of the aperitif, no more water was even added. And there were too many guests on the bill. For a restaurant in this price range, this is simply unforgivable. Actually, that didn't even deserve a star.
