C und M in Grindelwald

We are lucky that we had the opportunity to taste the food of this beautiful place before it closed. The owner decided to close it after 2 days because he was tired, so the wine cellars were not as large as on the list. Lemongrass soup is really a must try. It's not Thai style, it's a little different. We liked it very much. A quiche came before the main course, which was amazing and we could have had it as a main course. I think their salads are ordinary. My wife ate ravioli. It was beautiful. I ate fillet. The meat was cooked correctly, but I didn't enjoy it as the asparagus was too overcooked.

At 9:20 p.m., the four of us wanted to eat something small, but we were literally chased away and told us there was nothing left. Personally, I find this cheeky.

dinner menu starts only at 6/7PM and is usually full/reserved, so don't expect to be seated right away. you are warned. Outside seating has great view of the mountains, however it was closed when we got there as it was snowing. i had hausgemache tagessuppe mit Grindelwalder Schüblig-wurst und brot (homemade soup of the day with sausage & bread) my friends had the salmon. portions were good for one person.

An all-round successful evening! Friendly service, nice, uncomplicated atmosphere, and food simply TOP. Regardless of whether it was the greeting from the kitchen (a small piece of cheese tart), the starter salad, the main courses (we had 1x salmon with white wine risotto & 1x beef fillet with asparagus and potato gratin) through to the homemade desserts - we enjoyed everything. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation and would be happy to come back if the opportunity arises.

The waitress was cheerful and nice, but the food took a long time to arrive. We tried the lemongrass soup and it was delicious. The ravioli was not sweet, to be honest, but it was disgusting and overpriced. Walk to the restaurant if you are tired and it is the last option And the chair has a bad back

A very charming place with a great terrace where you can admire the breathtaking panorama while drinking delicious coffee. Staff very nice and helpful, prices for every budget. We ordered the soup of the day, which happened to be cream of celery soup. The taste exceeded our wildest expectations, I recommend it to everyone! It will remain in our memory for a long time :) we will definitely come back as soon as we are in the area.

The best lemongrass soup ever! The orange just was very fresh, and the mixed sandwich was delicious. I can't get enough of the view. Very lovely place!

If you are in Grindelwald, the apple strudel with vanilla sauce is an absolute MUST!!! It is prepared with great attention to detail. As is well known, the eye also eats. However, you have to be patient because there are always a lot of guests and it can sometimes take a while to get a seat. But it's definitely worth it. Every guest is served in a very friendly and courteous manner - even if the staff is under constant stress. You feel welcome at any time. For us, a visit to C&M is simply a must!

Our dinner at C und M was the best one we had on our trip! Our hotel was kind enough to make us a reservation and they had the table ready and waiting for us. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming and the women serving us could not have been kinder. You can tell they put a lot of care and effort into their food and we absolutely loved it. When our food was taking a little longer, they brought out a little amuse bouche which was very thoughtful and the bread in the bread basket was absolutely delicious. While everything in Switzerland feels expensive, our dinner here felt worth the price. I highly recommend dining at C und M when visiting Grindelwald. Dietary note: we had a celiac member of our party and they were very understanding and helped her navigate the menu and what was celiac friendly. She opted for the Salmon and Risotto and said it was delicious.

Very tasty cake, the latte could taste a little better and be a little bigger.

Managed to grab brunch at outdoor seat which have the perfect Grindelwald view, busy restaurant but the service is efficient.

Magnificent place to eat in Grindelwald. The views from the terrace are wonderful, unbeatable. It is not excessively expensive for the country and location. The menu is somewhat limited. The ravioli are very good (take the opportunity to add a lot of cheese). We tried two cakes: caramel cheesecake (it ends up cloying) and peach. The second one is recommended.

Incredible view in Grindelwald with fantastic food. Can’t recommend this place enough whether you’re in town for the day or a longer stay.

A restaurant with wonderful terrace views, the food was delicious and the service was very friendly. We felt very comfortable. The apple strudel is also good. Parking is offered as well as cash and card payments.

Great little Cafe serving the Grindelwald locals and tourists. They make really really good breads. Even the ones at the counter are delicious so give them a try for only two euros. Staff is super nice and does speak English. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Expect to pay normal Swiss pricing.

A delicious local autumnal meal - pumpkin soup followed by Alpen goat cheese plate with bread, pear, walnuts, grapes and caraway seeds. Our table on the deck provided us a stellar view of the mountains. Our waitress was friendly and attentive- all in all a flawless experience.

We just had a lovely meal at this place. Beetroot Soup with Sausage and Lemon Grass Soup with Bread, accompanied with white and red wine. Didn't have a lot of expectations, but we were both pleasantly surprised. Lovely and friendly staff. And oh, the view is spectacular!

Wonderful situation but never again! Ordered the curry chicken sandwich which turned out to be 90% mayonnaise with chards of diced chicken. It was so disgusting I couldn’t bring myself to take a bite. Server was no help. Never again!

I was passing by in the early evening and was thirsty so I found this restaurant by chance. It's a great place to enjoy a beer while enjoying the perfect view. I ordered a sausage and bread and two beers and paid about 20 francs. This is good value for money in Switzerland.

I sat on the terrace for lunch and waited in the sun for 30 minutes before eating. There were seats inside so I was able to sit right away, but there were a lot of people who wanted to sit outside. The staff are all friendly and the view is the green scenery of Switzerland. The food is delicious! best! This is a place I want to eat at again when I'm in Switzerland.

Wait 10 minutes for someone to take the order. Everyone else was served before us, even though we were the first. Then at least the coffee came quickly. And they spoke English

Beautiful location and nice view. The service was unacceptable. We sat at a table and had to wait 15 min for the woman to come and take our order. Mind you there were two waitresses and they only had 3-4 tables. 2 other companies that came after us were asked to order and served first. So disappointing and disrespectful.

Cosy terrace and tasty food (seasonal salads and ravioli were great). Menu and opening times are a little confusing, it’s not clear what’s available at a particular time of the day till clarified with staff. But they always have some food during the day which is great. Some servers are chill and friendly, some preoccupied and reserved. Overall good place with some minor quirks, can recommend.

The lemongrass soup and the seasonal salad were fabulous. The staff was slow to greet guests, but my server made up for it with her attentiveness. The view is incredible. I would definitely eat here again!

I tried to wait for a table with a view. I was happy to wait for a table to open. I was questioned by a member of the staff asking why another table in the back corner wasn’t good enough for me after I said I was happy to wait for a table to open up she turned to another customer who celebrated by raising her arms and smiling at us from her table. Decided to leave after being treated so poorly.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here. The view is incredible, the food was great, and the service was very friendly. Would happily return.

I can’t provide feedback on the food as we never sat down hence the very poor review. The reviews looked really good so we walked 30 minutes to eat here. The eating area looked very inviting. We were immediately met with extreme hostility. After 10 minutes of waiting we left.

The curry chicken sandwich is so deliciousㅜㅜ It's made with chicken in a mustard+mayo sauce with a slight curry scent and a sandwich. It's not too greasy, but if you don't like greasy things, eat it... If you add Jungfrau Weissen beer to it, it'll make you faint. Yes, the other sandwiches were delicious and the ravioli was also delicious. But once again, the curry chicken sandwich was delicious ^-^b The view was really nice and the beer was unlimited. As expected, this is a trustworthy Korean-reviewed restaurant. Why don't you come here right now and have a curry chicken sandwich?! And also.. what if with a jungfrau weissen beer? It will be like a heaven, really. And the view? It was awesome. If you are under 19, well, then, you should come here again in the future. Because beautiful scenery of Jungfrau with local beer is stuuuning.

Came in and sat around for 25 minutes and no one acknowledged us or took our order. Not convenient when you have kids. Walked out and went across the street to the pizzeria and had a much better experience!

I’m not sure I can describe the whole experience. Starting from the view, it’s mind blowing. The staff is friendly and service is fast, even when it’s full. We order ravioli, the ricotta ravioli it’s honestly one of best I had ever. They also have seasonal food, which is super recommended. Price is super reasonable, would even say cheap for such a view and quality. Try the local beer, it’s very tasty! 🤗

Delicious food, and especially nice cake. A wonderful place to stop off for a snack or a meal. It is a really popular place with tourists and locals alike.

Bad customer service. We sat on a table and waited over 20 minutes and nobody came. The other tables that came after us were served but not us for some reason… I entered the restaurant to order in the counter but everyone ignored me, so I left. Very bad experience and not coming again.

How should you order here? Stick with the soup and sandwich. The soups are good. In fact the lemongrass soup is phenomenal…One of the best I’ve ever had. The zucchini soup was mid. Get the curry sandwich. Our group liked the raviolis fine too. But save some calories for the desserts. The strawberry shortcake one was the fave. Big reason for not having 5 stars was that they have very limited gluten free options. Bit the lemongrass soup is GF. Get it!

This shop has the best scenery, food, sweets, and staff! I hope I can go again soon. P.S. June 2023: I was able to go to CundM in Switzerland, which I had always wanted! It's really nice here. The cake and latte were delicious.

Great food, great view but I will not be back, whilst having dinner I observed a single women wait patiently in line for a table, somehow staff at the restaurant thought it was ok to give people behind her in line a table first because there was more people in those groups. This occurred more than once. She questioned staff and was given excuses and attitude from the waitress . I could see the women was made to feel very uncomfortable and it left a bad taste in my mouth. No one should go out to enjoy a meal and be made to feel this way by the staff she is paying good money too for a meal. I will not return and will recommend to everyone they find elsewhere to dine because this establishment does not respect or value their customers and simply only sees money walking in the door. Disgusted.

It took a while for the food to come out, but the view was so good that I didn't notice the time passing. The ravioli was really delicious!

First of all, the service was slow since there was only one server (that I could see) attending to all of the diners but she did the best that she could and she was very friendly. Second, tap water cost CHF 2 just so you are aware. We ordered the steak with salad and the ravioli (tomato mozzarella and pesto). I ordered the ravioli because everyone raves about it. I thought it was good but not great. I was expecting the pasta to be creamy but it wasn’t. It had a good flavor but I think the pasta was just a bit too al dente for me. The steak was good and salad and salad dressing were tasty. The potatoes au gratin that came with the steak was delicious. They also gave us a basket of bread and it was very fresh and fluffy. My husband also got a glass of red wine and the total cost was CHF 80 which I felt was reasonable. Overall good food and reasonable price. Side note: not sure if it was just the time of the year but we had to constantly swat flies from ourselves and our dinner.

Lovely cafe with amazing soups, pastries, meals and friendly staff who will feed and comfort your soul after a long tiring day of hiking. Their lemongrass soup is amazing and we also came back 2 other days to try their soup of the day (one was beetroot and the next day, mushroom) and they were all super tasty and hearty. Also had their asparagus and cheese stuffed ravioli which was bright from the acidity of fresh lemon and herbaceous from chives. Delicious! Lastly, we tried their apricot strudel and and the caramelization on the crust was perfect. PS- Sit outside for spectacular views!

There is an outdoor space where you can sit and eat and enjoy the beautiful mountain view. The waiter has a very good attitude and introduces the menu content kindly.

One of the best places to eat in Grindelwald. With Eiger in the backdrop, its location is beautiful too. The lemongrass soup, melted cheese with apricot jelly, seasonal ravioli, the passion fruit dessert, the blueberry cheesecake icecream…just delicious 😋 Highly recommended.
