Café Bel Ami in Zofingen

Incredible boss. How he treated the nice waitress. We felt very uncomfortable.

We have never received such unfriendly and impolite service as we did here. And we are from Zurich! Were there on Saturday afternoon, 2 couples plus 1 child. We wanted to warm up. Ordered tea, coffee and fries, fries were unsalted and completely over-fried. A gentleman (the boss?) served us, we had the feeling we were neither welcome nor wanted, while we were ordering he simply ran away without comment and only came back 2 minutes later. Feeling like a troublemaker - that's a shame for a café. You actually want to feel at home there. Even if you are stressed, you should never take it out on your paying customers to this extent. The tea and coffee were good, the fries not so much. For us it was 100% the last time.

Outdated cafe. The cake was totally dry and not fresh. The coffee not good. The service staff is not allowed to collect money; this is done by the boss, who previously stood in the kitchen and then went back into the kitchen. Wouldn't go there for coffee and cake again.

The serving daughter is not allowed to collect. The boss comes to the table with the dirty chef's jacket without saying hello, touches the money and then continues cooking. A little later he finishes off the waitress in front of the guests and shouts at her. As a guest it's unreasonable what you see. Once and never again. The world doesn’t need chefs and restaurateurs like that

We sat at Bei Ami on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed an excellent piece of cake. There were, among other things, apricot and carrot cakes that we tried. The restaurant is decorated with photos of American film and music icons and the toilet is very clean.
