Cafe Bistro Romana in Laax

In the middle of the village of Laax, close to Lake Laax and the post bus stop, between the excellent village bakery, the excellent butcher shop, the diverse Volg store and the Bündner Kantonalbank and Raiffeisen - in the lively heart of Laax, Romana is open to everyone - whether you just like a quick, delicious coffee with a fresh piece of cheese, or would rather like a creative salad or a good piece of meat - the friendly and courteous team at Romana will warmly welcome you and pamper you! There is gastronomy for everyone in Switzerland - for example in Laax!

Barley soup and ciabatta proved to be fantastic and delicious option for lunch.

Super tasty fondues and the younger ones were also very happy with the selection on the children's menu. Quiet and cozy atmosphere in the igloos for up to 8 people.

We have eaten here a few times, value for money 👍, small menu; Burgers, tartare, soups, salads, everything is fresh and super tasty. Here we cook with 💜. Det Service ; friendly accommodating. We will be back....

We came across this cafe during our skiing holiday in the Laaxerberge. We decided on a cheese fondue and were absolutely thrilled. I don't normally write reviews but the friendly waiters and the best fondue are worth the effort. Thank you very much and best regards from Salzburg

Yesterday I called to order a burger to go. The service was pretty friendly, and I was able to pick up the burger within 10 minutes. However, when I picked it up, I discovered that it was still half raw. Even though I ordered the burger "medium", the meat was almost raw and I had to throw it away. Unfortunately, considering the price I paid, it wasn't a satisfactory experience for me. It seemed like my takeaway meal had been hastily prepared. Very unfortunate.

We spent a lovely Friday evening. Small but nice seasonal menu. All four dishes were fresh and very tasty. We were also served nicely. We'd love to come back.

Had lunch there. Good and friendly service. The quality of the food was ok. However, I got a portion that wouldn't have satisfied even a small child and at a very expensive price. After lunch I had to go to the Volg opposite so that I could go back to work on a full stomach. Conclusion: Price/performance poor. Will avoid the restaurant in the future.

Had such a great experience here, quiet because of end of season but the service was outstanding, just so friendly, even the chef came out for a chat. The food was of the best quality both with ingredients, production and presentation. Everything in the restaurant was also absolutely spotless. Recommended

We went out to eat last night and were once again very spoiled, not just culinary wise. Food was excellent again! A big compliment and the morel sauce is addictive. The fillet doesn't equal three or four stars, no, it meets all 5 stars. The burger too; Compliment. Nicola and Lila also work in an exemplary manner and are extremely likeable. just BRAVO

This is the kind of place that can ruin your day. First, they brought the wrong drink. Instead of taking it back straight away, the waiter insisted we take the wrong one. Then, we waited 50 minutes for our food. The burger was chewy and bland. The meat was obviously “fresh frozen” and they forgot to season it. On two occasions the waiter and I stood in front of the same door and he rudely squeezed ahead of me. Awful experience. Dreadful.

Our dinner on Saturday evening was fantastic, great value for money and cooked and processed with a lot of love. Lots of very good Swiss wines and, in the fall, game from the region, it's great. Very fine homemade desserts and things you can't get anywhere else. The next day we went out for dinner again in the afternoon.

It was wonderful with you again and the young, pretty Keller was so friendly and always had such a smile 😃 😃 even behind the mask 😷 😷. The food was very nicely prepared and very good. Top! We would love to award even more stars. We ate burgers (both meat and veggie) at Romana and both were absolutely outstanding, as were the fries. Definitely one of the best burgers of my life. The homemade spritzer (especially apricot-thyme) was also super delicious! The service was very nice and everything was clean and attractively decorated. We will be back!

They offer a choice of original ice cream cups. I tried the "Domis Salziga" and the "Frisch vom Hof". A waiter speaks Italian.

Fantastic experience!!! Very friendly staff, excellent food: fresh, well cared for and cooked and presented with love. The beef tartare, the kapuns, the ciabatta sandwiches and the tiramisu were the best we have ever eaten...excellent! Fantastically delicious!!!! We will go to Romana Cafe Bistro again and would highly recommend it!
