A Toast Melba ordered according to the menu card was served and looked delicious - until the cheese casing revealed a completely untoasted slice of white bread; virgin white on both sides. I asked the nice waitress to return the slice of bread with the comment that it wasn't toast as advertised on the menu. She came back with the message “Our toast isn’t toasted”. After this customer-disdainful information, we will choose another favorite restaurant for our frequent "Essen Auswaerts".

A random stop. We stopped here on the way home and wanted to have a coffee. We also had something to eat. Very tasty baked goods, very friendly service. A great place for a coffee and something to eat.

We were there for Sunday brunch. The service was very friendly and very professional. She explained the brunch to us because it was our first time there. The brunch was ok. The food was delicious, there were no rösti but spaetzli. I was a little disappointed with the sweet and pastry selection .Since this is a bakery with a reputation, I was hoping for more selection of croissants, cakes, rolls etc. It's a shame.

Actually very good but we were amazed after the service staff asked if it was good and we answered no because there were pieces of ice cream in it so it wasn't that good. After she was back in the kitchen, Kamm asked us to look at the ice cream display case, saying that it couldn't be possible, we were very negatively surprised. We didn't really expect anything but this reaction was very inappropriate. I'm definitely not answering because we ate it and I want to know better than you.

Very good quality. But the owner should really think about hiring new service staff. When I asked whether the product was still available, I was insulted and the employee said, “Open your eyes, there is only what is still available here.” I hope that this employee in particular will be replaced.

My friend celebrated her birthday here. It's very pleasant café with tasty buffet. We were Sunday morning here. Eggs and bacon, cruassants, cereal, cheese... Also some dessert. Very nice place.

Food and drinks are A1. The prices are very reasonable, large selection. But what I think is a shame is the payment regime and the consumption regime. I have to pay for the orange juice and Red Bull inside, but I'm not allowed to consume it outside. I'm not allowed to pay for Birchermüesli inside and order it outside. I'm also not allowed to order the cappuccino inside and I have to pay outside. But I have to order and pay for the lye croissant with bacon inside. The side entrance is only reserved for the service staff and I have to mingle with the take away people. Simply complicated. Final note: I didn't get the Birchermüesli in the end, but it was on the bill.

Okay, just unfortunately not in today's age. Neither vegetarian lunch menu nor milk alternative. Reaction to answer: I was not offered oat milk despite asking.

We have been coming for breakfast on Saturdays for years and always shop at the bakery. Unfortunately, the quality has declined and the prices have gone up. Asking for an extra charge at breakfast when you order a cappucino is just cheeky and without mentioning it on the menu. The prices on the card have not been adjusted to what you actually pay. We won't come as often anymore

Great thing, this bakery brunch on Sunday. Many other people think so too, which is why it is a well-attended event with a corresponding crowd. The buffet is a bit small and cramped.

Great brunch on Sunday morning with a brilliant selection. Very fine products. Lots of different breads and also lots of sweets to choose from. Very fair price. Children only pay from the age of 7, which is a very generous offer. The staff is courteous.

Oh, we were so very happy. The three of us plus a baby with a stroller were at brunch today. What was most striking was the incredibly friendly staff. I probably wouldn't have kept my nerve with so many people. But they remained credibly friendly, courteous, attentive and helpful. The buffet was wonderfully rich and fine. Freshly squeezed orange juice and lots of loving details gave us a wonderful day. And all of this at a fair price. Very very highly recommended. Thank you very much 💃💃💃☕☕☕🥂🍼

Great cafe in Sissach. Friendly servers, yummy food, & delicious coffee! The only down side is it has a very small parking lot - but it's very close to the train station where there's a bigger lot, so I parked there and walked over.

Was very disappointed with the brunch this time. The buffet was very overcrowded, it looked like everything had been thrown on it. Hot dishes were cold. The quality of the brunch has deteriorated significantly.

The breakfast here on a Sunday is very good, the coffee and the ginger lemon tea are also very good. And there are many delicious desserts to choose from 🍽☕🍨🍰 from Royal Siam Thai Massage Basel😊

The things I consumed tasted good. However, the café is too big for me. A mass of guests coming and going. It was loud, hectic and the floor was a bit dirty. If there are many guests, this would have to be wiped down from time to time. What's really annoying are the smokers who inconsiderately stand outside next to other guests who are consuming instead of moving further away from the garden. A pity.

I think the Caprice is a nice rest. The last time I was there was 20 years ago. I haven't been in Sissach for that long. The Caprice hadn't been rebuilt yet. 🙂😀.

Large and fine selection of sandwiches, sandwiches etc. If you prefer something sweet, this is also the right place for you - lots of different sweet pastries. Staff friendly and nice.

Nice place for brunch. Very busy a reservation may be a good idea. Be careful, the price is quite high.

Great cafe/bistro. For the past 3 years we have always stopped here for breakfast when we go on vacation to Switzerland or Italy (last week it was 5 times). The restaurant is in a quiet location, friendly service and a great menu. Update July 9, 2022. Today we had breakfast again 😁 and it was, as always, great👍

I shop at Café Caprice 2-3 times a week. Unfortunately, it often happens that the “fresh” Silserli are anything but fresh. Today again I received a limp Silserli. When I go to the bakery I expect different quality. The Silserli may have been thawed and filled. Since the egg roll is great as always, two stars!

Was there for the first time yesterday... Over lunch... we sat outside and were served very well and friendly. It was very busy from 12.15 onwards, but the very friendly staff supported each other well and there was hardly any waiting time... The food was excellent, a crisp, fresh, colorfully prepared chicken salad, served with crusty bread. We also put together something nice and tolerable for our allergy sufferers without much thought. We had something sweet from the cake counter with our coffee... and my friend's birthday lunch was a success. I'd love to come back!!

The cafe belongs to the Gunzenhauser bakery and pastry shop. The products are really great and always fresh. The employees are all very friendly and have a smile on their faces, even when things are a bit stressful. We enjoy going to Caprice and also enjoy buying the fine products at the counter.

The service assistant does not make eye contact with the customer, no smile on her face. Just type in what you ordered! Hectic and unfriendly. The cafe has lost its charm. Unfortunately!

Café Caprice is an idyllic café and easy to reach from the train station. It borders the town, which makes the café even more charming. The prices are a bit high. But that is most likely due to the location and the quality. There's nothing wrong with the quality! delicious

Catastrophe. I haven't seen such unfriendly staff in a long time. I was served by a sick lady who was coughing and could hardly speak. Without a face mask! She didn't wash her hands at all when she collected the money...but she really enjoyed it in her hands beforehand. She also served the lunch menu the whole time. So disgusting! The boss must really have tomatoes in his eyes. At the counter (bakery) the staff is unmotivated and serves disastrously. Never again!

A pleasant place, perhaps the only one that was open on Sunday. There are two halls for seating guests, there is a children's corner and children's chairs. Fresh bakery. The only thing we didn’t like was that we couldn’t pay our bill. The waitress simply did not pay attention to us and did not hear when we called her. Sitting with empty cups and trying to pay is a so-so experience. Therefore, I recommend paying the bill immediately so as not to wait for someone to pay attention to you.

We regularly go there for brunch on Sundays. Fresh assortment, prices are okay. The buffet is very rich and varied but still not overloaded. The staff is mostly always very friendly with one or two exceptions (maybe they had a bad day?). We recommend Caprice not only for brunch, but also as a bakery in general.
