Cafe Corso in Luzern

I have been to Cafe Corso so many times over the last 13 years. Food is always excellent and good value. The owner is always very friendly and the restaurant is always immaculate.

The Corso is actually an insider tip that you should only tell best friends. Good location right next to the Hofkirche, pleasant location, great lunch menus, fair prices, always clean. The host couple is courteous, warm and open to requests. You just feel comfortable. Carlos' cheese slices and his house coffee are recommended.

This is a very quaint café right in the heart of altstadt. It's run as a "ma and pa" shop, which makes it feel like a special experience. The two owners seemed nice, and they were quick to serve us. They serve traditional switzerland meals, something everyone should try while visiting. I had the schnitzel und pommes, while my friend had the fried fish and fries. The schnitzel was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend you stop here during your visit to Switzerland. My only suggestion to the owners would be to play some nice, light ambient music. There was no music on when we went. The right music would set the vibe just right 😊

It was raining, the cafe was pretty much empty, plenty of space inside, however, we got refused entry with a baby in a buggy. All this in a heavy rainfall.

Cosy neighbourhood place with reasonable prices

The cafe is located just across the road from Lake Luzern, just near the double-steepled church in town. It is clean and tidy with attractive potted palm trees and hedges outside to make al fresco eating feel cozy. Inside is clean, and modern. The coffee bar at the end has an incredible espresso machine and has the feel of Italy. We ordered hot sandwiches which tasted good and were served warm. The owners were very friendly and greeted us with smiles. They spoke English, German and Italian. We felt very welcomed there and will return on our next trip to Luzern.
