Café Le Châtelet in Grandson

Superb discovery. We feel that the dishes are made with love. Great atmosphere with games for children. We will come back to try the other dishes. And thank you for the warm welcome.

Beautiful terrace, delicious quiche

Very nice but cakes 🥧 a little expensive ("tourist" price obviously) compared to standard bakeries. For example, tartlet from Linz du Chatelet (from Rouilly to Champagne): 4.- The same Linz tartlet at the Cygnes tea-room in Yverdon: 2.80.- same quality, same size. Rouilly (in Champagne) has always been very expensive like Ackerman in the Tuileries. Example, at the Maison des Terroirs de Grandson a hazelnut snail costs 5.- 😮 Conclusion, if you want to go out in Grandson you might as well be single... There could be a "resident", "local" rate by presenting the municipal recycling center card as proof and a "tourist", "visitor" rate... Or a loyalty card system with stamps. These may be small adjustments but they would make perfect sense in a period of general rising prices and ever-increasing precariousness for a part of the Swiss population.

Very nice discovery in the heart of Grandson. Friendly café with a terrace offering a magnificent view of Lake Neuchâtel, it's relaxing and soothing. We were able to enjoy the last rays of October sunshine. There is free parking at the castle (a rare thing these days), but don't forget to put your disc in. The café offers excellent hot teas, I recommend the la randonneuse tea (mint, strawberry and elderflower)!

Very friendly welcome and excellent food at very reasonable prices! Calm and serene atmosphere, with "lounge" area, games for children and box of French, English and German books. Don't miss this little corner of paradise!

For the cuisine I don't know but I like this place for snack with terrace overlooking the lake friendly staff and the teas are delicious

Very original and with a lot of charm

Café-restaurant located next to the Château de Grandson, with a magnificent terrace. Very friendly and warm. Relaxed atmosphere, fast and quality service. All dishes are made with local products: for aperitifs, syrups, wines, etc. The interior of the restaurant is really cozy. Nothing to say about the prices. I highly recommend it.

My sandwich & salad were DELICIOUS! We all had ice cream afterwards (my son and husband ate at a festival stand), and it was super tasty. The staff was fabulous - friendly and helpful. The inside decor was cute and there were toys for kids (not just little ones). Outside was lovely; we sat overlooking the river and alongside the castle.

Despite the massive crowds during the medieval festival at Grandson Castle, the waitresses remained very professional and friendly!

I like to have my little coffee next to the old stones of the Château de Grandson, in a pretty, very peaceful terrace and the staff are very friendly. It's a very nice place!

A very nice place, very well decorated in the entrance to the Château de Grandson. Welcoming by the manager, we feel at home. Hot drinks are served elegantly on a small tray, with a delicious homemade Amaretti added. A place to relax before accessing the Castle. A pretty terrace with a view of the lake. The prices couldn't be more advantageous. THANKS

Released during the Papegay shooting. Ate a spit at lunchtime and finished with a coffee. Blue zone parking nearby. Difficult travel for people with reduced mobility.

A magnificent place. I highly recommend stopping there. For a moment of tranquility or even chatting with a friend this place is made for. Whether it's the choice of the bakery in the morning, the quiches during the day or a simple coffee, everything is very good. Thank you again for your welcome. It has become my new HQ. PS: children are even entitled to their own little corners.

Great view at the foot of the castle. On the other hand, at the café, remember to change your currency into Swiss francs, otherwise the staff, who are initially very cheerful, become extremely unpleasant. "We're in Switzerland so you don't have to have change otherwise you pay by card. We don't need tourists to live." charming young lady.

After an extensive tour of what feels like 1,000 steps in the castle, the café right next to the castle invites you to linger on the terrace with a great view over the lake. Great coffee with cake. Friendly service.

Fabulous herb fondue, double cream meringues, fruit sorbets and “myrli”. Unrivaled view!!!
