Café Restaurant Safran in Schaffhausen

Very good authentic experience. There is a large selection of Persian dishes, which are also suitable for conservative tastes. The portions are good and together with a starter it was tight even with a big appetite. Everything is kept very clean and modern. I can only recommend.

Not exactly inviting if a vegan comes directly to your website and the first picture they see is “meat on a plate.” How heartless is that?

We were two people and wanted to go in for a drink. We had a reservation but they dident have it in the records. We sat and wanted to order. THAN they told us to leave if we are not going to eat... BTW the restaurant was half full... Cant judge about the food so....

Absolute recommendation for Eastern Switzerland, you will receive a warm welcome, great and fast service and a bright, friendly atmosphere that invites you to linger and then take a walk through the center. The food is traditionally perfectly seasoned and interpreted in a modern way. Meat dishes are grilled to perfection and juicy, vegetarian and vegan dishes are prepared very creatively and lovingly. All in all a must for every visit to Schaffhausen. Gladly again.

Highly Recommended! I'm currently stranded in Switzerland and exploring Switzerland so I went to see Schaffausen and found this lovely restaurant. The food is very delicious and the ambiance has something Russian at least similar to it. I'd love to come back when I'm around.

Went to Café Restaurant Safran for the first time today and ordered breakfast. The quality of the food was good, but I was very disappointed by the quantity and for CHF 22.-. This CHF 22.- included: coffee, orange juice, two pastries, jam, butter, cheese, scrambled eggs (but a fried egg came), Bierchermüesli & the bacon. I also ordered it. It sounds like a lot, but it was puny (see picture). I would be happy to give the restaurant a second chance by testing their traditional cuisine.
