Great bar still looks the same as it did years ago where we drank coffee Lutz and then went to the youth cellar.

Very discriminatory shed. There are fascist stickers at the entrance and sexist slogans are written on the tables. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

The Restaurant Candle is a small restaurant in Schaffhausen. It is on the first floor and only accessible via stairs. The Candle also used to be a music bar with live performances. Today a few regulars still meet up or you “get lost” for your last beer. A restaurant that has survived for decades and can almost be described as a museum.

Extremely comfortable, like Grandma Erna's around the corner... would happily go again

Die Kerze ist eine Institution und gehört zu Schaffhausen wie der Munot selbst. Eine rustikale Beiz die mit ehrlichem Charme zu punkten vermag.

Most fun bar in Schaffhausen. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, it is a cult hotspot. Exuberant atmosphere, all kinds of characters and good beer.

Rustic Restaurant awesome for Concerts. Prices for Drinks are estaunding affordable. Location is about 5 minutes to the train station. All in all worth it.

Hat dieses holzgetäferte Lokal Charme? Ja hat es. Sie erreichen es über eine steile Treppe im 1. OG.Die Kerze („Cherze“) ist schon seit über 20 Jahren unter den Händen des Berner Pächters Rolf Könitzer. Die Getränkeauswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen und das Personal ist um- und nachsichtig und stets bemüht. Auch auf kulinarische Wünsche des Gastes wird hier prompt und pragmatisch reagiert. Als Dress Code empfiehlt sich casual. Smart ist nicht verlangt. Insbesondere nicht im Barbereich. Das Publikum ist in jeder Beziehung bunt durchmischt. Eine Gesellschaft der Gesellschaften. Übrigens: Der Berner Pächter, welcher 1972 die erste Mundart-LP «En Ankeschnitte usem Läbe» veröffentlichte, organisiert regelmässig Konzertaktivitäten in der Cherze.
