The man who works here is really friendly, but the woman... Sometimes the toilet is not open for customers! However, the coffee is fantastic

I loved this little cafe. Had I known about it sooner, I would have visited every day I was in Luzern and literally around the corner from where I was staying. Perfecto café.

Sustainable roasting and coffee at two locations in Lucerne. The coffee is purchased directly from El Salvador. Despite the restriction to one growing region, there is a good selection of different coffees. Price/performance is top. Seating on Eichwaldstrasse is rather limited, but you sit “directly in the roastery”. Full recommendation, definitely worth a visit.

Tacuba is undoubtedly my absolute favorite café in Lucerne! This is not just about coffee, but about a real passion for excellent coffee and enjoyment. The special thing about it is that the beans are roasted locally on Eichwaldstrasse, and they are imported directly from families in El Salvador who are paid fairly. This ethical approach is reflected in the exceptional taste of every sip. What really sets Tacuba apart is the masterful latte art, which ranges from classic motifs to magical unicorns. Every coffee here becomes a work of art that pleases the eyes and the palate in equal measure. But Tacuba is not just a place to enjoy coffee, but also a visual delight. The interior design is a true masterpiece, with numerous loving details for coffee lovers. The atmosphere is inviting and unique, and you can feel the dedication that has gone into every element. This café is a real gem in Lucerne that perfectly combines the love of quality and the art of coffee making.

I had a double espresso with oat milk cappuccino. The barista made it quick and fresh. It tasted good. The music and atmosphere is great. Unfortunately I didn't check that the cafe was closed at 6pm or so but the barista was very nice to me. Actually asked politely if I could pay. Great cafe lounge. I apologize for the time the barista waited for me. I would highly recommend drinking coffee here or getting coffee take away.

Best coffee in town! Both flat white and cappuccino (with oat milk) tasted A1. Unfortunately, oat milk costs extra here, but it's worth it. The brownie was also very good.

I think the restaurant in the Neustadt is really great, uncomplicated and always a good atmosphere. Every time I go there everyone is always very friendly and the coffee is very good. I received great and very competent advice when choosing coffee beans for our home. You could feel his passion for coffee (I'm not sure if his name was Nikolaj). I can highly recommend the coffee from the roastery and the restaurant.

Great coffee place with obviously delicious coffee, lovely garden area, super nice, relaxed and familiar atmosphere. Everybody seems to know each other and it feels almost like a family kind of vibe. I was looking for a place to work from with good wifi and not too noisy and luckily found this gem!! Thankfully they were very kind and didn't get bothered by my many calls I had to take in the end. Can definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing and delicious coffee place, place to study/work from, or a new family away from home!!

The staff would rather chit chat behind the counter than to take the order of a patron. Literally stood there for 10 mins as they chatted amongst themselves before getting any service. Need some professionalism.

It is a walk, but it is worth leaving the wonders of the city center for a moment and discovering more remote places. Following the walk along the train route, you reach this cafe that occupies a bright corner corner where you can enjoy a silent terrace, ideal for a chat or reading.

Hands down the best coffee I have tried in the whole of Switzerland. The owner imports coffee from his own land at different altitudes and he is so knowledgeable about it. I would totally recommend to anyone who enjoys good coffee. Impossible to have a coffee and not buy a bag of it though.

We had the most amazing coffee in our 14 days stay at Switzerland in this cafe! We came for a quick breakfast after we arrived Switzerland last week and since went back twice before we left Lucerne. Love the unique blend of the cappuccino and the soft buttery taste of the croissants too! The staff was efficient and friendly with a perfect ambience for chats and work! Definitely will come back again! Good work guys!

Known above all for the absolutely excellent coffee, which I am able to buy from my fellow countrymen from El Salvador. Particularly on warm summer days, you can also sit in the secluded garden.

Cosy, super small, yet charming cafe, knowledgable & skilled owner and barista, and delicious coffee. I always visit whenever I’m near Luzern. If you’re interested, you can also buy coffee beans; talk to the owners about your preferences and they’ll recommend you the best and freshest pack of beans.

One of the best coffees I've ever had and  I'm not exaggerating when I say that. The owner/barista was a lovely human being too. Can't recommend this enough. Shame we don't live in Luzern otherwise would have been our daily go to coffee shop.

One of those places which gives off a friendly and cosy vibe for the coffee goers in the morning - with many actually buying coffee beans back home after drinking it! We ordered 3 drinks in total, the hot chocolate, no acini and cappuccino. 🍫 the hot chocolate was similar to the rest of Lucerne, very light on chocolate note and very heavy on milk - which we didn’t like Mocha was okay, very light coffee tone and not much chocolate notes to it Cappuccino was out third drink after witnessing people going at their packed coffee beans and grounded beans - but was similarly of a lighter tone without too much fragrance. Would imagine the espresso and Americano would be the better option here for those looking to actually taste their coffee in entirety 🫘 Nonetheless, super friendly shop owners who engages in small talks with everyone 👍🏻

On our way from Zürich to Grindelwald we thought we needed some coffee. Thanks to Google the best result came first with 4,9 stars. We called the cafe to check if there is a parking place for a campervan, there was a big parking place so we and headed there. And good that we did; splendid coffee, nice service and interior. Owner is from El Salvador and they have photos from there on the wall. I guess the coffee originated from there too. We missed the housemade cake but you can’t have everything.

Tacuba Café is a cosy place and has a warm atmosphere. The most important point about this cafe is that they roast the coffee beans themselves (and they also sell the roasted coffee beans there) and accordingly the coffee which is used is very fresh and tastes like heaven! The barista and I think the owner is a latin guy, who is also very kind and friendly. we ordered three iced latte macchiatos with extra chocolate with two pieces of vegan chocolate banana cake, they were all delicious 😋 . They also have a backyard, so you can get your coffee and sit there and enjoy the weather in summertime.

Friendly service. The freshly roasted coffee can be tasted straight away. The operating couple imports and processes the highest quality raw materials (exclusively Arabica beans) into a coffee that stands above most standard products. The roasting system is digitally controlled and enables the product to be consistently of the highest quality. The result is an incredibly high quality for the size of the roastery. A lot of love can be seen in the craftsmanship as well as in their small shop/coffee shop.

Cafe Tacuba is a gem in the heart of Lucern. The shop is super cute and cozy, in there you can try different typologies of coffee from different areas of El Salvador. It was a great pleasure to meet fellow Salvadoran Manolo! His passion for coffee is contagious, hands down the best coffee shop in the city!

If you're lucky, the coffee will be roasted straight away and there will be a wonderful smell of fresh beans throughout the café :) You can also have beans to take away (also ground as desired), and the cake has always been great so far. By far my favorite café in Central Switzerland!

Today I visited (Cafe Tacuba)and was amazed by the quality of coffee in this shop. Mr. Manolo from El Salvador, is not just selling coffee, he is growing thousands of coffee plants back home and helping the community as well. He talks about his coffee with true passion. When in Lucern pay him a visit. Ask for V60 as well.

Went for a "quick fuel-up" in the morning & think i found a new place to go for reeeeeally good coffee in Lucerne! Beans are roasted on site & brewed on an absolute beauty of a machine from Victoria Arduino. The results are a tasteful, fruity espresso. What a way to start my day! + Lots of parking spaces nearby + Small place with passion and focus on great coffee + eh... great coffee! :) + Beautiful little "garden" to enjoy the drinks + Friendly & welcoming staff - Plastic packaged biscuit does not fit the overall impression These girls&guys know their coffee! If i could make a suggestion: maybe add small pieces of whatever sweet to complement the coffee, i saw huge pieces of yummy cake, maybe 1/3 of the size for a few bucks extra. Or maybe a gipfeli?

One of the places to be in Lucerne for a great coffee! A lovely café with friendly staff and housemade desserts, a cute garden area, its own roastery right in the middle of the place (the delicious smell!)... everything is fantastic! They also sell coffeemaking equipment, and beans bought directly from farmers in El Salvador at fair compensation. If you run into the main man, you might also get to hear fascinating stories about the coffee and its origins, and he can show you tastes you might not have known coffee can have. What's not to love?

Tasted the grape cake cake today. The grapes come from the cafe owner's garden. He planted them three years ago. Tip top 👍🏼 Still consistent great quality 👍

We were spontaneously nearby and needed some ground coffee for Sunday coffee. The service was great and the house blend was recommended to us. Without tasting, we bought 500g. The big surprise at home was that the coffee was great, very strong and yet not too bitter. It is now one of our favorite roasters/coffees

Nice little (tiny) coffeeshop with a bit of south american flair, little corner garden, friendly service. The cappuccino was good and prepared with care. I loved watching the staff operating the big machine. The hissing and puffing noises and the smell of a good coffee enhance the spectacle and joy. Just lovely.
