Caliente! Latin Music Festival in Zürich

It was good. Very good music at almost every stand, an incredible number of people. Toilets suboptimal (Dixie toilets, no separate entrances and exits). Prices are obviously high. I have no idea why everyone complains here. If you don't pre-order tickets, it's clear that you might not get in.

It's funny that you pay for a "day pass" when you buy the tickets, but when you get in it's made clear to you that it's only valid as a one-way ticket. So if you want to go back in, you pay the full price again - a joke...

I'm very disappointed :( 30 francs entrance fee for what actually? Food and drinks were absolutely overpriced. That was outrageous. Security employees were unfriendly and unable to answer even the simplest questions. And the ambience was rather boring and too loud. Conversations were almost impossible because every stand wanted to outdo each other in terms of volume. Caliente 2024? No thanks....

CHF 35.- for box office entry and expensive caipis and food! It's outrageous how quickly entry costs have risen in recent years.

The Caliente has always been free of entry fees. Except for the concerts. This year 2023, for the first time, you had to pay an entrance fee of 35 francs just to get to the food stalls. Added to this was the long queue. An incredible arrogance. Of course we turned around and went to a restaurant. Never again Caliente.

It is a real scam, you pay chf 30.- for an entrance to an area packed with people, where you can barely move (remember that it had always been free and throughout the neighborhood). You cannot enter with food or drink, forcing you to consume absolutely everything inside and to make matters worse, the fountains are blocked so that you have to consume even the water. But the best thing is that the stalls themselves are forced to buy all the alcohol from them at a fairly high price. The fun of hot has been completely lost.

The only good thing about hot was cumbia queers afterwards, I thought it was very expensive for how poorly organized it was, 20 bathrooms for 10 thousand people, 4 security people who wouldn't let you go, the PUBLIC DRINKING WATER fountains CLOSED, THEY CHARGED ME 8 FRANKS PER HALF LITER OF WATER. It seemed like a scam to me. The DJs were outdated and closed early. As the last to enter with a ticket and everything takes 30 minutes...

Everything perfect. Except for the situation with the toilets. If there had been a mass panic, the evening could have ended very differently. There was no concept of how to get there and how to get out again.

The entrance was very expensive, very few bathrooms, the live music was poor, the best was the stand where DJ Manuel played music and it was the best thing to enjoy, a couple of Dominicans sang in the live music part… God. mine! It was no place for them… almost everyone left the place. I also play a Mariachi group…. And the people left them almost alone in the place. Na ha! The Caliente Festival in Zürich is not like other occasions, it is already dead. We say goodbye and bury him!

Once great street festival with awesome vibe. Now it's much smaller and one needs to purchase a ticket in advance (unfortunately).

No star deserved!! Today at 9:00 p.m. queued for 1 hour for nothing! Box office closed and sold out… never again!

Absolutely outrageous expensive tickets without a drink. Tickets sold out on top of that, unfriendly staff as if we were in the Eastern Bloc at a Latin festival. It's a shame what has become of it.

Destroyed vibes . bring back the caliente before corona!!!

As if nothing had been learned from last year's Caliente, prices have now increased even further and the offering has become even sparser. A visit to the Caliente Street Festival used to be a worthwhile family outing, but today customers just feel ripped off given the horrendous entry prices. And even the food and drink leave a lot to be desired. The city of Zurich and the organizers of Caliente have completely destroyed the concept of a once cultural and happy street festival.

Last year you suddenly had to pay an entrance fee. This year they are adding one more thing and making the ticket even more expensive. A Sat ticket now costs 30! Fr. I haven't eaten or drunk anything yet. I've lost interest in Caliente. There is too little on offer in too small a space. The visitors are simply squeezed out financially. That's really unsympathetic.

A ticket for what? Pure rip-off in advance. It used to be a HUGE FESTIVAL on Langstrasse today 🙈

Too many food stalls. Not enough caliente..

The only positive thing was the Corona test the next day.

Too many people, I love a festival but in the evening it was just too crowded. Why the large space at the back near the toilets wasn't used remains a mystery to me. It could easily have been filled. The food and the small snacks were very tasty, although a bit expensive. Some of the music was way too loud, even the speakers cracked... I hope to be outside again next year.

Very poorly organized. Overwhelmed staff had to wait forever for orders. Drinks mixed very poorly and overpriced. Music so-so... sometimes good, sometimes bad. Overall not worth it as it is extremely overpriced and poorly organized.

1. Too many people were allowed into a small area - if panic broke out there would definitely be deaths 2. Disgusting toilets without cleaning 3. A pig's trough for hand washing, well hidden, of course, without soap 4. Suitable for the pig trough. Possibility to roll in the mud at the toilet 5. Pig sty design with waste confetti everywhere. Waste bins not even as decoration. 6. Prices like in a 5 star hotel 7. 3 stages on approx. 200 m2 with noise overhang 8. Totally inclined entry and exit conditions single entry 1 exit 9. Congratulations :D

- Far too much entry for a one-way entry into a site where the main purpose is to continue consuming. - Lots of people, hardly any seating and very cramped... can only move slowly. - No drinks are allowed - not even water! Backpacks and bags were searched. - All live bands played indoors - hidden so you can't find them... - Toilets with no possibility to wash hands -> Conclusion: Has deteriorated in many respects compared to previous years.

Money rules, vibes are killed. Think about it and change it for the good in 2023!

Absolutely rude, you pay enough for drinking and eating. You still charge entry to a street festival where entry was free until today

To date, you haven't had to pay an entrance fee. The food and drink cost enough. It's no longer suitable as a family because you're not allowed under 18 years of age. Once again, one less event for low incomes and families!
