Good: - Toilets clean - Shower with hot water included. - Sand on the shallow Lake Murten Bad: - Light goes out quickly when showering or in the toilet and you are outside the sensor. So you end up standing or sitting in the darkness. - Automatic shower system very short - Registration is not unfriendly but very slow, slow, awkward and if you are a few minutes early you make the guest wait. - WiFi only works sporadically - Motorway within earshot

At this large campsite we were given a parking space for our motorhome directly on the lake for a stopover without prior notice. Everything you need for supplies and disposal is there, the sanitary facilities were clean. Good starting point, for example, for a bike tour around Lake Murten and a visit to the historic center of Murten, which is well worth seeing.

Beautiful white sand! As at the seaside, I favor this place.

A very nicely located place right on the lake. Good sanitary facilities and the whole place seems well organized. We were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. WiFi doesn't work on the pitch, but it does work at the reception. What was noticeable was the extremely large number of long-term campers and rather few parking spaces for travelers. We felt like we were a bit of a nuisance to the long-term campers, so we didn't feel very comfortable. But a nice place.

Nice campsite, very friendly and accommodating. In some cases there was no hot water during our almost 2 week stay, or the women's showers only worked for a very short time or were broken. At peak times I had to queue more often, in my opinion there weren't enough showers. The restaurant is great and the shop is also great. The beach sections are great for children, there is also a children's activity, although it is religious.

Would I go back: yes being on a lakefront plot is spectacular. Waking up to views of the tranquil lake and dining on the sun rink is hard to beat. The rest is fine. Clean, good services, lawn,...

Beach next to the campsite. There is an area with sand that is not very large but pleasant for families with children. There is also shade under the wooded part next to the beach. There is also a children's playground and a ping pong table, and a restaurant overlooking the lake where you can have lunch. 100m from the beach there is a paid parking lot where you can park.

Not bad in all respects, but there is one unpleasant moment - cockroaches were spotted near the dishwasher.

Clean and simple. You can still be a camper here. Great beach where you can walk out very far. Always clean.

All very well, but the very Christian children's animation program borders on a cult and should be banned. There is also very loud music at times until 11 p.m., not suitable for children who sleep in caravans and tents.

The staff didn't even think it was necessary to answer our reservation request. We have been waiting for a response for over a month. This weekend's trip therefore had to be postponed to another campsite. When we asked about it over the phone, we were simply turned off. Customer service is zero.

Beautiful campsite. Right on the lake with a sandy beach. Great playground and the shop on the campsite has everything. Entertainment for the children is also great during the summer holidays.

We spent two nights at this campsite with our camper van. We were placed in a very small location in which we had difficulty parking. Surrounded by Swiss Germans who talk loudly until 11 p.m., it was very hard to put our baby to bed peacefully. The beach is nice and the toilets are very good. On the other hand, don't plan on doing your dishes right after eating, there is no more room. Nice for families with older children but to avoid with a baby. The pitches mostly have no grass left because of the soil laid by people which prevents the soil from breathing. These should be banned, it is really not pleasant to land on a dirt site. To top it all off, it’s very expensive for the location we had.

The campsite is beautifully located directly on Lake Murten. The whole facility is very well maintained and clean. The sanitary facilities are functional and clean. We took the boat to one of the guest berths. Unfortunately, the guest pitches are not protected at all from easterly winds (bise). The next day we had to escape from the waves! (In the harbor) Otherwise we had a nice day at the campsite! Unfortunately, no second one.

This campsite is absolutely perfect! Large plots, directly on the beautiful lake. The sanitary facilities are new and always very clean. In the morning (Thursday) there is a market with breads and fresh fruits and vegetables. The service at reception is very friendly. We'll be back😁

Good campsite with western Swiss flair right on the beautiful Lake Murten, which scores points with a large public seaside resort. Nice starting point for this wonderful region by bike or on foot. Excursion destination in the area. National Stud of Switzerland Avenches with the very well staged Roman Museum and excavations Avenches old town Murten a charming old town.

Accessible by bus, right by the lake

We stayed at the Port-Plage campsite in Avenches in August. Our pitches were excellently located. The service at the reception was very friendly. The sanitary facilities were very clean. We have already booked again for next year and will probably book a short break in the spring. Highly recommended

Actually a nice campsite. The Bulloni family has a great shop and snack stand. Very friendly. Unfortunately, it's completely wrong when the tractor drives back and forth across the square at 8 a.m.! You're on vacation and want to sleep in a little. This is how you stand in your bed at eight in the morning. Next time we'll look for another campsite.

We come back every year. Especially because of the great, creative children's program, which takes place at least twice a day, with a different theme every week, and there are also crafts and crafts (Lego, underwater world, etc.). Christian songs and stories are sung/told, but without the children being persuaded to do anything. The events are very professional. We are also impressed by the cleanliness, proximity to the beach and friendliness of the staff!

It used to be better 25 years ago because you could spontaneously spend the night in a small tent for 1 person...yesterday I was turned away at 7 o'clock in the evening. They made a reservation...reserve a trip with a bike for exactly 1 night...that's why the dog sits away The receptionist woman on the tressen 14 days of bike tour around Switzerland and all the campsites are full but they tried until yesterday to allow me to put up my 2x2m tent for 1 night.... ciao avanches camping as long as the dog will sit on the tressen I avoid camping

Very good, quiet, well organized

Beautiful sandy beach and many local offerings (Pedalo, SUP, food, drinks) with lots of shade. Ideal with children and dogs. Parking is free and is just a few minutes' walk from the beach.

If I had to stay here for a week or longer I wouldn't be able to stand it. In the camping itself you can actually only go into the water or take part in programs. The toilets are literally infested with spiders and insects, but the spiders are clearly more visible. I counted an astonishing 27 medium-sized spiders on a wall near the toilet and probably 10 times that number throughout the toilet But on the positive side, it's nice to swim and comfortable in the camper, but definitely not a long-term vacation here

We returned from two nights in this campsite, the toilets are excellent and practically new, the 2nd night a team of young people made a little noise late (after midnight), the tax of 2.- per day for dustbins a little… space not very big but sufficient

Once and never again, on this camp, you have to expect rain everywhere, that's part of it, we've been to many places where it rained, we sat comfortably in the awning, but you can't do that here because the street is made of mud and is higher up than the space, it's logical that all the water runs down under the caravan, it's impossible to be outside ankle deep in water, they don't notice that they're harming themselves, they only have one place, luckily I have a choice

Great place for families, but it is popular and therefore very crowded. Children love it at the lake, toilets were clean, various things can be bought in the shop and it has a restaurant and 2 takeaways. The playground would be great, but it would be too hot to play in in midsummer! There are no trees there.
