We enjoyed our one night stay at the campsite! We arrived without a reservation, slightly after their reception closing time and so we were a little worried that there wouldn’t be an available spot but there was a number for you to call at the reception. We received a very friendly welcome! The toilets and showers are incredibly clean (1CHF for a 5 mins hot shower) and it was an overall beautiful place to stay. It’s located right by the lake as well so you get a nice view. It is currently managed by a male staff and his wife, whom we had the pleasure of meeting the very next morning. Absolutely lovely people. Highly recommended! Thank you for the nice stay! -your friends from Singapore🇸🇬

When Ralph Reichmuth personally accompanied us to our parking space and helped us to stand properly, we knew: we were in the right place! The sanitary facilities are always clean and intact. I was on a school trip with my class and we stayed overnight there. The owners are very friendly and uncomplicated. It is a beautiful place with a view of the Mythen and the Rigi. The children especially liked the swimming area! It was an unforgettable experience, thank you for allowing us to be there. :)

This campsite is located on the beautiful Lauerzersee in a nature reserve. The owners were very friendly, the booking went smoothly and the response times to questions were very quick. When you check in, everything is explained to you in a friendly manner. We traveled with a tent. The tent meadow is in a prime location, directly on the lake, next to the bathing meadow. There is a power box for the entire meadow. It also has a sanitary block with always clean toilets and washing up facilities. The showers are located at the restaurant, where there are more toilets and the possibility to wash clothes. To shower it takes Fr. 1- per 5 minutes. The site is mainly used by long-term campers who were all extremely friendly and helpful! There are numerous excursion options in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. The motorway and railway line pass directly behind the square, which could be a problem for people sensitive to noise. It didn't bother us. The lake is ideal for swimming and is currently significantly warmer than the air (around 22 degrees). It is also possible to go out on a SUP. We felt very comfortable and were reluctant to leave. We'll definitely be back soon!

Beautiful campsite, beautiful lake, amazing - the water temperature is 22 degrees, Buchenhof is optimally equipped for long-term campers. Small things like a kitchen or a barbecue area are missing for hikers. But this shouldn't be the target group for the campsite. If you are good on foot, you can go on beautiful hikes from here. Negative - the trains are quite loud and run very often. Positive - very friendly place operators, really make you feel WELCOME.

I can't understand the enthusiasm. At first everything is friendly, but the owners watch from the balcony and then the mood can change quickly. There are only hiking trails from the campsite directly along the highway. There are better options for dog owners and hikers, even though that is advertised.
