It suited Korean tastes well. The atmosphere was nice and friendly.

Good restaurant with a pleasing price/performance ratio. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. Since the restaurant was quite busy when we visited, it was a bit noisy. We were still able to have a good chat at the table.

The management team should consider whether such tight seating is worth it! You may have been able to accommodate a few more guests, but that ruined the entire ambience. It's very loud and chaotic during lunchtime. By the way, if you decide to serve so many guests, then you need professional service specialists.

As always, very good food, served quickly and friendly staff. A bit noisy at lunchtime due to the size of the restaurant.

Access to the lift area is not open for people with walking difficulties on Sundays. A person with walking difficulties must call by phone so that it can be opened and they can take the lift from the ground floor to the 1st floor. Yesterday the service employee didn't want to have time and left a person with walking difficulties standing outside in front of the entrance - I think that's not possible.

We ate here as a family after visiting the Communication Museum. The waiter was nice, but he forgot to bring my wife the drink and the salad. We had to tell him twice to bring it. Pizza was okay. Location and ambience was good.

I say this as an Italian...one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten

There were 5 of us eating there on Saturday. We were served by a woman who was between 40 and 50 years old and wore glasses, she had red-brown hair and couldn't speak German well. We ordered a starter and main course as well as wine and esoresso/limoncello. When we got the bill, the starters were billed as the main course. When I asked her about it, she said that we had already eaten the food and that she had just billed it that way. I then said that it wasn't my fault if we ordered starters and she counted it as a main course (we had caroaccio). Then she went, got a 10 note and threw it down without saying anything. I think it doesn't work at all. Food itself was great.

Ate at Cavallo Star in Bern and it was really great. The service staff was very friendly and attentive, despite the many guests. The pizza was great – crispy base, fresh toppings, everything was great. And the tiramisu afterwards? A dream! Nice and light and really tasty. I felt really comfortable and am happy to give it 5 stars. Looking forward to next time!

There were three of us, the soup arrived for everyone immediately, even if it was a little cold, then only one dish from the menu and two dishes of the day they forgot to prepare them, when we complained we had to wait another 20 minutes for the dish of the day . The drink service was also too long. Restaurant too busy and too few staff for service. The tables are so close to each other that it is difficult to get up to go to the bathroom, and discretion or the neighbor hears everything you say, even if you speak in a low voice, which is not possible because it is very noisy. Even though at the end they offered me coffee to apologize, I really don't think I'll go back and I recommend it.

Sat down 48 min ago, took a whole get any staffs notice. Then, put in my order. Bread was put on the table upon request, however, it was super dry and tasted old and I had to request olive oil. Pasta came out about 30 min after putting in the order, tasted ok-ish, nothing special.

Reception was anything but polite. If the service staff touches the cutlery by the tip of the fork and the tip of the knife, I find this very unprofessional and unhygienic. In addition, it is a no-go not to wash your hands after blowing your nose in the kitchen and in service. All four placemats were dirty. The "green" salad was green/brown :-(.

Very good pizzeria with a wood-fired oven near Bern main station. We recommend. It is also recommended to make a reservation there in the evening. Is like to be fully booked. The lunch menus also impress with quality at a fair price. The menus are also available in the evening. 😊 If the restaurant is full, there will be occasional waiting times for service. So that the beer brought was warm and the foam was already gone. 🤷‍♂️ Therefore only 3 stars for the service. But we would love to come back. Whether for lunch or for dinner.

We had two menu items from the fall menu and they were fantastic. The venison pepper was tender and juicy, the risotto was creamy and the noodles were just all dente. The prices for the menus were good, but the water was rather expensive. The ambience is actually nice too, we were just sitting above the escalator and there was a slightly flickering spot above us.

We ordered bruschetta and the house pizza. For both dishes we specifically asked whether they could also be served vegan. The Grana Padano was left out of the bruschetta, so far so good. After consumption, when we asked, we were told that the rolls contained milk and eggs. Ouch! People who have an intolerance to this should rely on a vegan/plant-based declaration... This appeal goes especially to the kitchen! Maybe there is also a lack of communication in service... The highlight was the pizza. Instead of replacing the topping with other ingredients, such as vegetables, it was left out entirely. We were served a dry flatbread with almost no sauce and a few pieces of vegetables. And that for just under 38.- It's a shame that something like this even leaves the kitchen. Unfortunately, I didn't taste any of “Star” in the Cavallo.

Was at Cavallo for lunch today and unfortunately I can only recommend it to a limited extent. - the service staff seems annoyed when asked questions etc. - the pizza was ok but very few toppings (see picture) - Price is rather in the higher segment for Italian dishes (20-40 CHF for a main course) - Ambience is also rather special... There are definitely better alternatives in Bern...

We ate Salm alla griglia with Italian-style grilled vegetables and good rice. Everything was delicately prepared and tasted excellent to us. It was a generous portion for a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Service is also great, but of course I'm speaking here as a long-time regular customer who is served accordingly. The Italians in service are all top, super friendly and personable. Price/performance ratio is also very good, considering that it is the city of Bern and compared to more expensive restaurants. In summer it is almost the only terrace in the city of Bern where there is sun in the afternoon. The kitchen is open all day so you can also eat in the afternoon, which I personally miss very much in the city. Very large menu with different variations of pasta, pizza, meat, cordon bleu (homemade) etc... The dessert is also homemade and I can only recommend it. I'm glad that the Cavallo Star exists and I hope it stays for a long time! Thanks to the Cavallo Star team! My absolute favourite: Spaghetti Vongole

Skipped lunch and was hungry. Glad to find a restaurant without breaks between normal lunch and dinner hours. The pizza was served really quick and was tasty. The waiters are attentive and switched to English when I struggled with German. Really appreciate that.

Good, large, renovated Italian restaurant in the city of Bern near the main train station with a roof terrace. The special thing is that outside of meal times you could also play Jass or chess. Relaxed, free and friendly atmosphere. Lovely again !!

The three of us ate at Cavallo on Sunday. Even though we only ordered main courses, we had to wait an hour for our food. In addition, one pizza was apparently forgotten and only brought when the other two were already finished. The waiters were completely under water but were always nice and could probably do the least for it.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Cavallo Star restaurant in Bern right by the train station and it was a great experience. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious, especially the pizzas are fantastic! There is also a good selection of fresh salads and other dishes that come highly recommended. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely come back. If you are looking for a great place to eat, I highly recommend Cavallo Star Restaurant

As soon as we arrived in Bern it was very late and the place would have closed within an hour, and there were 9 of us. They still let us sit and served us quickly. The waiters were very kind and friendly, and spoke Italian. Pizza, cooked in a wood oven, and vegetable soup, good.

Had dinner here with my girlfriend. She had ordered a pizza with additional rocket and the salad probably caused Drech to get a small stone on the pizza. She only noticed it when she already had it in her mouth. When we brought this to the attention of the person in charge, he didn't want to admit it. Didn't even look closely at the dirt. Probably pepper? Should go to the Schweizerhof if that never happens there. In the end there wasn't even a coffee on the house as an apology. What poor service. When problems arise, you realize how good a restaurant really is!!! Rossentercôte was good as always, hence two stars for the food.

I find that the staff is not very welcoming and they are always in a rush even though there were not many customers. I ate a lasagna which was very good but very heavy because there was a lot of cheese and béchamel. My boyfriend had a daily menu which was a horse steak. it was good toasted but there was a lot of sinew so it was a bit boring to chew. However, the waiter immediately brought us our drinks and in 20 minutes the dishes were there. it's still a good restaurant

From outside you don't see what's inside: authentic Italian restaurant with outside sitting place. Food is good and a friendly atmosphere with a good service staff. Close to main station and quick service for good value.
