This restaurant screams traditional! We witnessed fresh cheese made in front of us and the whole restaurant was old school themed. The Fondue and Sandwiches were filling!

Very nice place with delicious cheese dishes

Sat outside for lunch with our friends, had a lovely view of the mountains. We got cheese fondue and it was great (as I love cheese) but also disappointing as I wish it came with more than bread. Our friends ordered pasta and toasties which looked good. Not sure if I’d revisit if I were in the local area but it did the job.

We arrived at noon and initially it was to have a hot drink. This didn't cause them any problems. Finally we had a plate of cold meats and cheese. The service was very pleasant. Upstairs there is a grocery store and gift ideas to make. A large room is dedicated to the miniature MOB. Splendid.

Were there for fondue in August 2023 (Cox meeting). We messed up the reservation and placed us at an unattractive table that was dirty from the guests in front of it. Fondue was mediocre to bad. Reorder bread?! Had to organize it yourself. A Fernet-Braca could not be sectioned (nor was there an alternative). We wanted to order a dessert but it took over 10 minutes. ignored. Swiss Fränkli placed on the table and gone, never to be seen again.

This experience begins by taking a Golden pass panoramic train in Montreux to Château d'Oex with an estimated time of 1 hour, this beautiful Swiss town in the Canton of Vaud, is undoubtedly a popular tourist destination for its annual hot air balloon festival, its Traditional architecture with wooden alpine houses, make it charming in winter where a snowy scenery rests. Walking through it you will find "la Formagerie", a recommendable place with several options: upon entering its basement there is a large space very well decorated, selling typical Swiss cheeses to the public with different flavors, intensities and textures. On specific days you will find an experience where the master cheesemaker will show you how the cheese is made, evaluating the entire process using a container with 200 liters of milk. And on the 1st floor you will find the restaurant where you can order different typical Swiss dishes à la carte, recommendable is raclettes with different intensities of cheese, accompanied with a glass of red wine.

The restaurant is welcoming and the staff attentive. Seeing cheese being made in the establishment is a plus. Upstairs is a model of the MOB with a circuit representing its important locations. Too bad it was under maintenance during the visit.

We wanted to try a fondue in Switzerland and what better area than in the Gruyères region. Delicious fondue in a typical place, all made of wood, Tyrolean music in the background and even a cuckoo clock. The price was high for Spain, but correct for what is found in Switzerland. A fondue for two people accompanied by a glass of white wine for each and a dessert to share cost €56.

We were lucky enough to chance upon this beautiful chalet restaurant while walking around town. The alfresco seating gave us a beautiful view of the valley where we saw hot air balloons against the magnificent mountains. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as were the food which made us warm and happy in the bellies. 🫕🎈

The pictures doesn’t do this place justice! The real thing is very cute. They have English menu which explains everything clearly and the staff also speaks English. The fondue is SO good also the bread potatoes and pickles. Ham and cheese sandwich is very good too but the Mac n cheese was bland for me On the second fl there’s a little store where you can their fresh produce and also fondue to make at home

The place is very beautiful and the fondue they have is very delicious. They are very special about it and the owner of the restaurant is nice and wears a Swiss uniform. I honestly recommend that the problem is that it is far away, but you can pass by it when you are coming from Interlaken or going to it or going to the chocolate factory and its prices are considered a little high but other than that everything is fine.

Lovely restaurant bursting with lots of Swiss charm. We have been here before although it's the first time I have had a meal. The staff are very friendly and helpful and weren't put out when we wanted to change the table we had reserved (it wasn't too busy at the time so this was relatively easy to do). The food was delicious with lots of ingredients from the region. The portion size was more than enough and I struggled finishing my plateful. I believe that there are occasions that they do cheese making demonstrations too which must be very interesting to watch. The only reason I have marked down a star is that the tablecloth we had outside had a big hole torn from it which I don't like to see.

Today I have visited this restaurant together with my kids. I already had an idea on how the restaurant might be but of course it is always better to get a personal impression. As I was expecting the staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially while explaining the process for the cheese the main responsible person has taken enough time. I was also allowed to taste the cheese he had started producing in the morning. I have ordered a fondue whereas my kids had some pasta. The food was very yummy and of course traditional. The location is clean and furnished authentically. There is an outside seating and upstairs you can find a play corner for kids. All in all it was good that we passed by at this location. Will for sure go again once I make this MOB trip between Montreux and Zweisimmen.

This is a great restaurant if you have friends coming to visit Switzerland. It's also good for us Swiss people as well. The food is very good but the basic style of the mountain. Just don't expect high end dining. Reservation is perhaps a good idea as any time I have been there it was full. The price and service are excellent with the waitresses in Swiss costumes.
