A really cute and newly renovated buvette by the Dent de Vaulion. The buvette is easily reachable by foot, bike, or car. From the buvette, it's only a 10 minute walk to the peak. The food and drinks in the buvette are good, however, the service takes very long. Also, inside the buvette, there is a strong cheese fondue smell.

Take a 10 minute walk further up the mountain for an unbelievable panoramic view of the entire area. Beautiful scenery makes the trip worth it. The food was good, the servers were attentive. The evening was thoroughly enjoyable.

We just stopped for a coffee/soft drink in this very nice place and the structure was pretty. One of us asked for a glass of water with his coffee and was told (once the order arrived) that there was no drinking water on tap so we received a glass of water. 20cl lukewarm water which cost us CHF 3.20 and which we hadn't even ordered... what a scam. Apparently, there was a problem with the fridge regarding the freshness of the water... Great astonishment when I went to the toilet and nowhere was it indicated that the water was not drinkable above the sinks. I confront a first waitress (perhaps the owner) who tells me that these are regulars who come and that they know it and that otherwise they indicate it to visitors. As it happens, it was not directly indicated to me. Another waitress said that the signage they display is being stolen... Anyway, is this a big scam to tax water to death or are they so lazy they can't even put the effort into a solid display? For my part, I especially had the impression that I was being taken for a c**t. EDIT: following the response from the refreshment bar, I have to react. My friend was informed of the unsafe water, not me, I wasn't even there at the time. In no case is the obligatory indication of announcing non-potable water being called into question, so they are very clearly wrong or even contrary to the law and still allow themselves to make the calimeros by telling me that I should put myself in their place (an argument that one can go to any lengths to defend oneself from one's possible incompetence)... the fact that one did not consume much is not an argument to be put forward very clearly and the glass of Still, lukewarm water at 3.20.- is not on the menu, another clear violation of the law because all prices must be clearly indicated. Renovated recently, it is without charm and not at all in the chalet or farm spirit but rather a clean canteen. Everyone has their own tastes. Expensive, very average dishes. Good for a drink, nothing more. There are much better places nearby.

We had a 1/2 plate of cheese, and frankly it's not worth the price. For the cheese crust, the bread was dry, it lacked white wine, and the ham inside was really not good. There is a shortage of staff unfortunately for them, we waited 30 minutes before someone came to ask us what we would like to drink... we took the opportunity to order dinner at the same time. Once the meal was finished, we thought someone would come and clear us up, but after 45 minutes we decided to get up to pay and leave.

Tuesday morning with the motorcycle up to the parking lot. The route is scenic, lots of curves, the road is partly narrow and steep. About 15 minutes walk from the parking lot to the spectacular viewpoint. Lunch in the restaurant. Good, plentiful, service exemplary friendly.
