We recently spent two nights at Hotel Chalet du Lac. We also ate all of our meals at the hotel. Iseltwald, Switzerland is a beautiful, out of the way place to relax, hike and enjoy Lake Brienz. Hotel Chalet du Lac was perfect in every way. The hotel staff was friendly, thoughtful and detail oriented. Our room was spacious and our balcony had an amazing view of the village, Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. I look forward to returning.

It’s a perfect location Hotel you can look for in Iseltwald. We enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were clean and staff was helpful and nice. The lake view room was just treat to our eyes . Looking forward to visit there again 🤗😍

Full stars for the location. It's right on the lake and if you book one of the front facing rooms with a balcony you are actually living on the lake. This is one of the 4 hotels with restaurants in Iseltwald and the largest with the best food. Takes 20 min by bus 103 from Interlaken Ost train station and then a 5 min walk. The lake is the most serene lakes you'll see in the world. The rooms are average and the staff can smile a little while working and talking to you. Rest everything is full score for the hotel.

Many thanks to him again, he made our evenings an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, the place is incredibly visited by South Korean tourists. Stayed 3 nights but also ate at the Restaurant 2 nights. The food was delicious, especially the Kalbsrahmschnitzel which was veal in a cream sauce with pasta and vegetables. The views here are amazing and I believe each room has a balcony view. There are not much in the way of amenities in the room though, no bar fridge or tea/coffee facilities but the staff did provide me a kettle on request when I asked. It was a little noisy in the evenings with the restaurant right below the rooms.

This is a review of the restaurant only; I did not stay at this hotel (although it is really beautiful and right on the lake so if I ever find myself in Iseltwald, I will certainly stay here). I found the restaurant while walking along the lake and, seeing bratwurst on the menu, sat down for lunch. It took the staff a while to notice/acknowledge me and I was getting irritated when one of the staff (I believe she is the manger) came over to take my order. I got my brat and beer (and some of the best french fries I've ever had) in good order from friendly and smiling waiters but was really impressed when one of them came over to apologize for my initial wait. He was really friendly and charming and we ended up having a very nice chat. I left the restaurant with good food in me and a warm feeling toward that young waiter.

Je nach Zimmer eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf den See.Aus Bequemlichkeit haben wir auch im Chalet du Lac das Abendessen genossen.Einzig der Kellner war etwas forsch und um 21.39uhr wurde alles abgeräumt, einkassiert und man verliess der Ungemütlichkeitshalber selber das Lokal wir hätten wohl noch länger im Restaurant verweilt.Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr ausgiebig die Kaffeemaschine perfekt und die Hygienemassnahmen auch tadellos.Zum Abschied gab es noch für jeden von uns eine Schokolade auf den Weg.

Aber das macht nix, denn die Lage ist unbezahlbar und man schläft ja nur dort. Im Restaurant gibt es diverse Fischspezialitäten und ist immer sehr gut besucht. Eine Reservation - auch als Hotelgast - ist sehr zu empfehlen. Insgesamt gesehen, kann man hier gut ein paar Nächte verbringen, da es ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und Touren ist.
