You cannot miss this cordon bleau! I accidentally arrived in this tiny, cute restaurant the first evening of my stay in Iseltwald. The cook and owner, an exquisite couple, are cooking everything with passion and attention. I had to come back the next day to try the cordon bleu (you have to order it a little in advance)! It was simply delicious! And more: the owners really know how to make you feel at home. Still laughing and smiling at our nice conversation! See you next time! You can't miss this Corden Bleau! I visited Iseltwald this fall and found this restaurant by chance. Lucky you! High quality ingredients and super good atmosphere! The 2 owners are just sweet ❤️ My suggestion: come by, reserve a Cordon Bleau (they prepare it themselves) and then enjoy the next meal! ¡No pueden perderse su cordon bleau! Unfortunately we were not allowed in because we had a small dog with us. Probably the only restaurant in Switzerland where dogs are not allowed. There were almost no other guests and I don't see why they had to be so strict about it.

Just had Awesome and Delicious Pork Schnitzel here for Lunch. As this is a small place, seating can be a bit limited so we just sit where ever the owner asked us to seat. Highly recommend to come for quick lunch after visited the Famous Iseltwald Pier and waiting for next bus back to Interlaken.

The pork cutlets and schnitzel here are tastes you'll never get in Korea! It wasn't too salty, had a lot of quantity, and went well with beer. I enjoyed it so much!!😆

Kindest owners, terrific atmosphere, and delicious food! I came during off season and didn’t realize there wasn’t a lot ways to get around on Iseltwald. When I asked the owner if they could help me call a taxi, they didn’t hesitate and took me themselves in their own car. They are warm, friendly and you can feel that in the atmosphere.

A very homey restaurant and chef was very patient and friendly. Food was good and the portion was big! Herb butter on the pork steak was good, pork steak was tender and the seasoning of the fries was done just right.

We were so lucky to discover this super cosy restaurant in Iseltwald today, while visiting this picturesque village. The restaurant owners are a lovely couple who are very welcoming and friendly. The conscientious wife takes care of the guests and keeps everything well organized and running smoothly. The food is delicious homemade traditional Swiss cuisine. All the dishes, including the ice creams, are lovingly prepared by the chef. The portions are incredibly generous and prices are more than reasonable for the quality. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time, if you don’t want to be disappointed. You’ll come as guests and leave as friends.

The employee is nice, but she does not understand Arabs. The chef spoke at our table and was disrespectful and shouted. If you have a second option, be careful, it will be your first option, because even the sessions are normal at times. In general, it is not worth it, unfortunately.

Swiss food was so salty that I couldn't eat it, but the seasoning here was just right and it was so delicious. Some people said he was unfriendly, but he is not at all friendly. If I wasn't full, I would want to try other menu items.

It's really delicious! It's so friendly and it's the most delicious thing I've had in Switzerland!! The lake was cloudy, but I think I will remember Iselwald more fondly thanks to the food at this restaurant.

A remarkable restaurant with very good, simple cuisine in perfect form. You get what the name of the restaurant says: fresh, excellent food. The dishes are also written in English. For me one of the tips in this area. If you are looking for a real Swiss restaurant without a lot of frills, you will find it here. You either like it or you don't. The people with the not positive comments are probably like those who go to Starbucks in Italy. I was there five years ago and yesterday and both times were just good.

If you get off the bus, it's a 1-minute walk to Lake Iselwald! Haha. I had pork steak and schnitzel, but they gave me a lot of salad and fried potatoes, so I ate it to my fill!! The draft beer here is also very delicious, so be sure to try it🫶

I have never tasted such delicious and tender pork chops. I originally thought that the huge plate would be too big to finish, but it turned out to be so delicious😂 If I hadn't only been here for one day, I would have wanted to try other dishes. The boss's attitude is very kind. Although I can't understand what they say, I can feel their enthusiasm. Before leaving, I also gave you a pen🤣

The three of us came especially from the canton of Aargau. The food, the friendliness and professionalism of the landlady and host, as well as the price ratio are simply TOP!!! We will 100% come back and are already looking forward to it. Thank you for letting us experience that. 🤗😘

The service is very good. The boss and his wife are very friendly and will care about the meal. The meals are all prepared by the boss himself. They are very fresh and of high quality. This restaurant is run by a couple. I ate pork steak, a small schnitzel, and two beers with my wife. It was the most delicious food I had in Switzerland, and considering Swiss prices, the price seemed reasonable. If you have accommodation in Interlaken, stop by!!

I had a late lunch around 2pm, and the staff's kindness and bright smile made me feel even better. The taste is also great. A place I want to visit again when I come to Switzerland

Nice quite corner with a killer beef patty!

I've seen a lot of posts saying it's unfriendly, but the owner is so kind?! They were very friendly, perhaps because I went around 3:30 PM when there was no one there. It didn't feel like a high-end restaurant, but rather a small neighborhood restaurant, and the outdoor seating was so soft, the view was great, and it was the best restaurant! Because the portion size was large, an adult woman could not finish the small size of Schuchel by herself. A small schnitzel and two beers cost 26 francs and no tip was requested.

I am not sure if the owner becomes the server here or really a server but she should not be a server with not good attitude. This girl server should study hospitality specially when the customer didn't do any aggression or maltreatment. Arrogant and bad attitude. Any tourist should be worry of this girl server. You can find similar review to this server in other reviews in the past

I’d put zero stars if I could. Wanted to dine in, and they were so rude not wanting us to eat there. We are all ethnically diverse so mabye that was why. So we order food to take out and they wouldn’t even let us use the bathroom. DONT COME HERE completely pathetic staff

On Saturday we went to our favorite restaurants in Switzerland and had the beef fillet. A culinary masterpiece, tender as butter and a pure pleasure for every meat lover. Highly recommended❤️ Kind regards to Joe and Elena.

Large portions, fresh and high quality products. Very inexpensive. Everything freshly prepared. We keep coming back. Our highlights are the Fischchnusperli and the Cordon Bleu (you have to order in advance). The main courses are each accompanied by a sumptuous, fresh, crisp salad. For dessert, Joe treated us to his homemade ice cream - wonderful. Elena's service is always very friendly, warm and attentive. an all-round pampering program.

The pork steak from Nierstück was sensational and the portions are generous, so no one has to go home hungry.

When we were eating at the dorfpintli, we were very sad that our love Elena was sick in bed. But despite that, Chef Joe prepared drinks and delicious food for us, all by himself. The worst restaurant around. Service is lackluster and just puts things on the table. You can pour yourself drinks. The food was a total disaster. Schnitzel tastes like old fat and cheese. After the chef found out that the schnitzels didn't taste good, he attacked us and had absolutely no constructive criticism. According to Koch, you have “no idea” and you should first know what a real schnitzel tastes like, which insults you even further. Absolutely never again and not recommended. It's better to go to the restaurant, which is a 5-minute walk away.

Were once again in the DORFPINTLI. Ate delicious Schnipo.

The food is very good at Dorfpintli and we have now eaten here four times in 11 days. The steak and the cordo bleue are highly recommended.

It's a place run by two couples, and the food is definitely delicious and they're so friendly!!

Not suitable for tourists. At 7.30pm we asked if they had room in the restaurant as it was written outside we serve hot food until 8pm. Three free tables in front of our eyes and the waitress rudely chased us away saying only "full" she didn't even respond to our friendly greeting .

The reviews were warm and glowing, so we decided to have dinner here while the storm passed. The indoor dining room was empty at 5:15pm, and a lady with short white hair was very unfriendly, very hostile, and reluctant to serve us. I ordered a large bottle of carbonated water, the large schnitzel 24CHF for my young kids to share, and the thick pork steak 28CHF for myself. She set the table for 2, and I politely asked for another set of silverware and plate for my other child. She looked at me with utter disgust threw her hands in the air and said we only ordered 2 entrees. She then aggressively pointed to the bottom of the menu, where it states an extra 2 CHF for a plate and setting. I missed that part, but there is no need to scold me. As a mom, i usually order an adult serving for my kids to share, and I have paid the extra plate fee in the past, but i have never encountered such hostile aggression over 2 CHF place setting for a child. So just for the principle, the kids used the 2 forks and 2 knives provided to eat, and I did not touch my pork chop plate as i had lost my appetite at that point. My kids said the schnitzel was just ok and underwhelming. My 2 kids and I are finishing up 3 weeks traveling throughout Switzerland, and everyone we have encountered has been very friendly, generous, and kind. It is unfortunate that we are ending our trip on this sour note.

I stopped by because it was near the filming location of Crash Landing on You! Even though it was pork, it was very soft and the French fries were delicious. Since it was a moving day, I took my suitcase with me, and I was really grateful that they took care of it so kindly :)

Easily the best meal of one Switzerland trip. Fresh fish and chips, excellent salads and the best ice cream this side of the Atlantic! Don’t miss their coffee and strawberry ice cream san s their fresh yogurt ice cream (as well as their berry yogurt)

The portions are large and prepared with a lot of love. I didn't have the steak, but I saw it. That's another STEAK!! And my fish crispies were really crispy and came with a really nice mixed salad. Sausage cheese salad was also A1! Cool idea with the Cervelat :-) Price wise. Something like that rarely happens. Many restaurants can learn a lesson here. Service was also great. Very fast and friendly! If I go to Iseltwald again I'll only go to Dorfpintli! PS: Pre-order Cordonbleu 1 day in advance. I'll do that because they seem to be the best all around! I'm curious :-)

The boss is humorous, the food is fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. The most important thing is that the prices are very reasonable in Switzerland, where prices are very high.

Delicious food! We took chicken wings with salad. Portion is big, so if you are hungry go there! :) Atmosphere is very nice, calm neighbourhood. You can chill while eating. P.s. coffee is also good!

The food was nice, but the service was a little gruff. The prices were reasonable compared to a lot of other places and small and large portion options are offered for each dish.

A quiet restaurant, there are only two owners who do all the work, making it feel more like eating at home than at a restaurant. The owners are very thoughtful and friendly. The food prepared by the Boss is delicious. The most reasonable prices compared to restaurants in Iseltwald.

My favourite meal in Switzerland! The pork steak and schnitzel were sooo good, it is my first time tasting such juicy pork steak and schnitzel! The salad was perfect too, portion was good! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming too - we had to ask the chef to tailor the meal to suit our baby’s needs and they did. Very good service and very delicious food!

We visited the Dprfpintli with our dog for 10 years, everything was great and we wanted to keep it that way in the 23rd, so on March 23rd I visited. Reserved for 3 people with a dog when we arrived there on March 25th 17th, we saw from afar that there was a dog ban at the entrance because I had made a reservation with a dog. We entered and the hosts were there and told us to lock the dog in the car. It's actually a shame but there are other great restaurants in Iseltwald and the landlady's remark was wrong that it had been like this for two years. I wanted to go last year and there was no sign there yet

Relatively limited selection (fried fish, grilled meats, fresh salad) and seating (around 5 or 6 tables). Nothing fancy at all, but I really liked the food, the people and the overall experience. Popular with both locals and tourists.

We were very fortunate to find this place. We were heading to Iseltwald to walk the lake and decided to check for restaurants as it started to rain. We had a small and a large portion (2 vs. 3 pieces) of the schnitzel and salad. The salad was a nice mix of greens (with balsamic or French dressing), a tomato-based salad and a beet salad. The pork was extremely delicious and of the high quality you expect in Switzerland. The salad was large portion and very delicious, a nice change from the meat, cheese and potato diet we’ve been eating the last week. The two meals with two large beers came to CHF 57. The service was exceptionally friendly and two-person show was quick to take our order and prepare our food. The menu was in German and English and although the hostess didn’t seem to speak much English, she was super friendly while working through the language barrier. It appeared to be mostly locals dining there, which is usually a good sign. When we realized we were running out of time, and asked for the bill, the hostess quickly accommodated and was even apologetic, even though it had nothing to do with her service. Unfortunately, we had to leave in a hurry to catch the bus back to Interlaken but we would have loved to stay for another Feldschlösschen and to try homemade ice cream.

This is a great place to stop at when visiting Iseltwald. The food is delicious, the service is so friendly and the place is cozy. We highly recommend spending the day at Iseltwald and eating here!
