We were there with the whole family of 5. When looking for a Mexican restaurant between Chur and Rottweil we came to Schaffhausen... And it's worth it! Cool group and super delicious food. Of course a bit strenuous for a German wallet but really tasty! Keep it up, we'll be back... 💪🏼

Food was delicious and the service was very welcoming and playful. I eat meat but nonetheless, I got the vegan al pastor vampiro and it was incredible; tasted like real meat. I haven’t had this authentic of Mexican food since being in Mexico. Also, vibes in the restaurant are chill and fun. 100% recommend

Chekes is literally the tastiest food I ever ate in my live. Everything is fresh and authentic the prices are affordable and not overpriced. The atmosphere is great and the Owner is such a positive and nice person. The local is also held really clean and hygienic.

The ONLY authentic mexican food in Switzerland! Haven't had such amazing tacos since living in the USA. Absolutely crazy. I travelled from Basel for these tacos and i'd give Cheke 6 out of 5 stars if possible.

Cosy and authentic Mexican restaurant with a cool vibe. The owner was friendly and helpful. We all really enjoyed our meals, particularly the surf n turf vampiros (pictured). The homemade salsas were tasty and the Carolina reaper was 🔥🔥🔥

The two of us ate there today and had burritos and they were just extremely tasty, the atmosphere was super authentic and the staff were just great. The prices are expensive but more than reasonable for the quality. We'll be back 👍

You should consider yourself very lucky if you manage to eat here. There is one table and several stools at the bar inside. However, the food is fantastic! Made on the spot by the owner with love and skills. The hospitality is Latino style friendly which makes you feel welcome. The place is nicely decorated, great place.

taste good I ordered a meal with octopus legs. It was delicious. And it’s air-conditioned. Compared to the 32-degree temperature, it’s like an oasis outside. The red tea tastes like roselle flower The burritos are also delicious

Best taco and burrito I have had since moved to Europe. Small place and slow if you are in a queue. But once you taste it, you know it is worth waiting for, plus a reasonable price (Swiss standard). Close to public transport and parking, so dropping by after visiting the "not so amazing" waterfall to compensate for it all.

Burrito is fantastic! However, 8 CHF for a 0.33 beer bottle is not appropriate.

Enjoyed the most delicious Guacamole, Cadillac Margaritas, chips, tacos…….everything is absolutely delicious!!! And Cheke is a legend in Switzerland- kind, funny, laid back and the best damn chef around. 🥰

Fantastic!! Super authentic, be sure to order Al pastor, and their soda, it’s definitely worth the trip. After visiting the Rhine Falls, if you like Mexican food, come to this town to eat. The store is not big, but the layout is very unique. It can accommodate about 10 people inside and there are two tables outside. Super recommended.

I wanted to order a Ceviche de la Casa, according to the website for 28 CHF. But there wasn't one, not even one other than a single one for 30 CHF. This consisted of about 3/4 vegetables and salad, the proportion of marinated shrimps, squid, seafood and tuna was rather modest, for 30 CHF!

Like Peruvian guy I as a representative of Peruvian ceviche. I have to say that this ceviche is fabulous. very good and the place a great atmosphere. I recommend it and the best food I can find in this town.

Great authentic mexican food. Really good taste. Cheke knows what he is doing. You have to go there and treat yourself to some delicious Tacos, Burritos or what you are craving at the time. Even mexican drinks (Cola and so on) are available.

It’s a place worth traveling to! If you take their margaritas and any of the tacos/burritos/quesadillas you will be blown away. It’s the best Mexican food I tried in Europe! I am not joking ! You have to try this I don’t care if you live in Oslo 😂 P.S. just found out that the owner worked 20 years in Mexican Gastro and he is here every day making this gorgeous mouth watering heaven food. Wow

I would say one of the best place with Mexican food in Switzerland! Very friendly owner. Definitely recommend if you are in Schaffhausen.

The food is actually intended to be taken away. We were passing through and ate there. We had a very tasty meal and a really nice host who did credit to the Mexican food culture!

Makes me wish I lived in Schaffhausen. Ok so the food is made with love and passion. Very authentic Mexican. Don't think tex-mex, at all!!!!!! Every Wednesday is a new 'dish of the day'. Always a must try. Agua de Jamaica I'm in love with. Apparently they have a good beer selection, I can't say as I don't drink beer. It's a really small intimate joint. Very chilled vibes. And the owner is so chilled. There is a little wait time as all is prepared fresh. Don't hesitate - just go!

Fantastic discovery, as a gastronome and very fond of Mexican food. Totally recommended. The al pastor taco blew my mind, top quality products and all kinds of beers from there that I didn't even know about. Not to mention the treatment of the owner Cheke. You have a customer forever. Keep it up!

My friend and I were living here from the US and were so excited to find good Mexican food. It was amazing!! We tried three of the tacos and loved them all especially the Pulled Pork Special. Highly recommend

The food is delicious and packed with flavor - the most authentic, QUALITY Mexican food in Switzerland (and we’ve been to quite a few). The owner is very friendly and made us feel at home right away. The ambience is also great. Definitely a place we will come back to every time we are in Schaffhausen.

This was a great find, the food was amazing. Coming from Canada, living in Germany having authentic Mexican food was a great treat and really hard to find. We had burritos, they were awesome.

I love the al pastor (taccos) from Cheke’s. It is expensive though 😅. It's the best thing I've eaten so far. It became my girlfriend's favorite meal. It's unbelievable how much flavor there is in there. The homemade sauce is the best in the world and I'm Asian so I know what I'm talking about 😅😂. We have just moved to Schaffhausen and are very happy to have discovered this pearl straight away. We had fantastic tacos and quesadillas. Next time a burrito will be due.

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Schaufhausen. Cheke is a fantastic cook, this is the best tacos we had on this side of the Atlantic. The food is very authentic, bursting with flavor, reasonably priced and excellent quality. The menu changes and you will experience excellent food in a modest, but cosy setting. Will come back for sure!

Ate authentic tacos for the first time today with a Mex like that. Pulled Pork. Incredibly delicious, I should make Taco Tuesday a rule from now on, but I also like to try other dishes.

Not recommended, I had a chicken burrito to go & the sauce ran down my hands like water, making the tortilla soggy & soft. In the end I couldn't even eat it in this condition. I'm really disappointed. You do it better in your food truck. (I'm not adding a photo)

Excellent authentic food! Cheke is an entrepreneur with heart and soul, who still takes the necessary time for the preparation of the meals (no fast food). You no longer need to travel to Mexico for the food - we have Cheke!

I've never been to Mexico, but Checke does by far the best burrito (and Mexican food) I've ever had in Europe. The weekly specials are not to be missed, and the regulars are all tasty: seafood, surf and turf, chicken, pastor, I've tried most things. Checke is also a super cool guy. Highly recommended!
