I was there for the work Christmas dinner at the end of November. The food, ambience and service were very satisfactory! Although we were a group of 9 people and the restaurant was quite busy, the service was quick, friendly and very accommodating! Everyone had free choice of menu. Price/performance is top. A small point of criticism: the musical entertainment present was too loud at times, so conversations were no longer possible. I'd love to come back!

Overall, my visit to the Chemihütte was very pleasant. The views from this restaurant are truly breathtaking, and the cozy terrace was the perfect place to enjoy the mountain air. The food was fresh and tasty, which I really appreciated. The prices were fair and OK, especially considering the quality of the dishes. The restaurant was busy that day, which created a lively atmosphere. Another plus point is the large parking lot in front of the restaurant, which makes arrival very convenient. Overall, my visit to the Chemihütte was a fantastic experience. I would without a doubt recommend it, especially if you appreciate the beautiful views, fresh food and a welcoming atmosphere.

I was there 3 times today, the first time, the last time and never again. The older gentleman in the field service was completely overwhelmed and took ages to take orders. His friendliness left something to be desired. When I asked if it had fruit cake, he said that if it had it he wouldn't know whether I would like it with or without cream. He then only came with the coffee, there was no more cake. He then served berry cake at the table next door, which I wouldn't have said no to. Conclusion: poorly trained staff, and you don't need the guests here.

A little out of the way - but a great view of both lakes and very quiet (you only hear cowbells; no cars). Rooms have a terrace; nice bathroom; There were enough sockets (Swiss format; you need an adapter for Schuko plugs - the hotel even had one ready and kindly lent it to us). In general the staff is very helpful. The food is very good - and cheap by Swiss standards. The only negative point: (standard) breakfast does not include eggs (only available for an additional charge).

Had a quick craving for ice cream. I order an iced coffee, my wife only orders 2 scoops of ice cream because she's not that hungry. The iced coffee looked great on the menu, tall glass with lots of cream and topping. What's coming?... A small glass with 2 scoops of ice cream, a splash of cream and what felt like a teaspoon of topping that you hardly noticed. If I had simply ordered 2 scoops of coffee ice cream like my wife, the result would have been the same. Simply cheaper... you can also do it that way... barely noticeable additional performance, but a decent surcharge for almost nothing... well

A special place with a fantastic view over Lake Thun and Brienz. A fine homemade peppermint tea quenches your thirst and is available at a reasonable price per liter. The afternoon menu is extensive and offers something tasty for everyone. The dessert menu has beautiful pictures and tempts you to feast. A stop at this hospitable house is highly recommended.

We were here 3 nights with our little dog. Everything was very easy. Large and impeccable room with magnificent views and a terrace without having to go through reception every time you leave (they have a door that connects to the guests' outdoor parking). Breakfast a little fair, there is not much to choose from, but it is fine. If you want to eat there it is expensive, like everything in Switzerland (1 water, 2 dishes, 2 desserts: €104). I recommend it 100% to stay.

That was a failure. We sat at a dirty table full of dishes for a long time. In addition. A serving plate came to clear away and didn't even say hello. Not my thing in a restaurant

Not recommended as a family destination. The playground is large and functional. When it comes to food, the service is prompt and more or less relaxed. Small special requests could not be fulfilled. What is not possible is promoting the political view regarding wolf regulation. A euphemistic term for shooting wolves, there are arguments for and against it. We just don't come to the Chemihütte to deal with it. My overall impression of the guest establishment is negative and I will not recommend it.

On Thursday July 27th at noon at 11.50 a.m. we took a seat on the terrace. Order placed and drinks received immediately. Then the waiting began. At 1:10 p.m. after over an hour we were served the cordon bleu with a tepid apology for the delay and thanks for our patience. Only the view made the wait bearable. Instead of a tepid apology, we could have been offered coffee or another drink. But perhaps such long waiting times are an everyday occurrence in this restaurant.

The best place in the area that I have been to for far reaching views over the Lake of Thun. The main patio area is glass covered so there is plenty of seating whatever the weather.

We were able to celebrate our wedding party in the Chemihütte on June 23rd, 2023 and it was a wonderful evening for us! The hall was well prepared, the two service women were extremely courteous, humorous and friendly. Even when we celebrated late into the night, our wishes were fulfilled. The food was excellent as always and the dessert buffet was great. Rooms were made available to us in the morning so we could change. Great service! The rooms are simply furnished but very comfortable and offer a beautiful view of the lake. We felt very comfortable and were able to enjoy a wonderful party! Thank you very much for that!

A very good restaurant in itself, high-quality, fresh food, beautifully presented, but: we were served by Miss Rottenmeier herself! From the beginning we didn't seem to like her, she was very rude, annoyed, brought the wrong drinks, was even more annoyed because of that, then didn't want to turn on the light when it got dark and had this spiteful tone the whole time, which bothered me it's somewhat reminiscent of the military and she's the general. Fact: This older lady does not belong in a company with customer contact. The whole thing left a very unpleasant and bad aftertaste for us, it's a shame, but we won't be coming back and can't recommend the restaurant, 1 star for the good cuisine

I have never experienced such bad fish food in a restaurant! If you're on a diet, tempted and craving a raw cordon bleu and limp fries, then you've come to the right place. You will lose your appetite. All the food was cold! The vegetables as a side dish were inedible! Therefore suitable for people who are on a diet 🤣 It was our turn for the starter with salad. Halfway through, the main course arrived and was simply placed on the table (for 7 people) The children received the main course with our salad at the same time. Conclusion: I would have preferred a pack of fish food from Qualipet

The Chemihütte is a large yet cozy restaurant in Aeschiried with delicious food and a breathtaking view of Lake Thun and Brienz. In summer, the view of the mountains and lakes from the covered terrace is even more beautiful. My family particularly enjoys the fries and my favorite meal is the fitness plate with chicken, vegetables and fries. It is advisable to reserve a table well in advance and if it is to be a window seat, then the reservation should be made more than a month in advance. To be honest, there is still a lot of room for improvement at the Chemihütte. The service staff seem to be under a lot of pressure on each of our visits that my simple advice is to have one or better two additional service staff to set. The guests would also appreciate it if the staff could take enough time for the guests. In the USA and also in our southern neighbors, the atmosphere that the waiters create for the guests is usually much more pleasant. Unfortunately, that's why I can't go to the Chemihütte and many other restaurants in Switzerland only give four stars instead of five.

The place has a great view of Lake Thun and the mountains. And in winter with snow it's even more enchanting!! The only thing that annoyed me is that the waiter didn't want to bring the really comprehensive and great drinks menu right away, whatever the reason was...

Yesterday at 4 p.m. we had a seasonal vegetable plate, Rösti packets and pork schnitzel with fries. Quality food average Vegetables overcooked, tasteless, chestnuts dried out, Rösti - ready-made food, Viennese coffee without garnishes/hollow hips or waffles but you had to look for three times as much ready-made spray cream as coffee and vanilla ice cream with a magnifying glass. Ordered a small portion, received a large portion and charged for it. Apart from the dessert menu, no additional sales of any other drinks or similar. Annoyed service staff, unfriendly and we felt like: Valued customer, you can call me. I want to call it a day. New customers are coming tomorrow. And the table with legs for 7 people. "Help customer threatens to order." A visit to the Chemihütte is no fun. Sorry

Absolute DISASTER!!!!!!!! NOT EVERYONE can cook game dishes and especially NOT in the CHEMIHÜTTE!!!!!! Deer schnitzel is dry and fried too hard, reminiscent of SHOE SOLES, red cabbage from a can or bag....disaster!!!!!! Chestnuts approx. 10 pieces and dry like flour, .... My conclusion, EVERY HOUSEWIFE can cook BETTER than the chefs from the Chemihütte.......when complaining the answer: Our chef quit anyway!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, but sorry I don't really care because I want GOOD FOOD and NOT pity if I have to pay for this crap!!!!!!! NO response from the host couple on ALL posts.......weird, but that says it all. Skip this restaurant and eat at home or donate the money to a GOOD CAUSE, but NOT here.
