Chez Be - Bistro in Sursee

Cozy, small bistro in the old town of Sursee. The menu is sophisticated and chef Beat Amrein's cooking skills have long been known. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. Chez Be is definitely a tip for connoisseurs.

Expectations were too high based on the reviews. It was a nice, average evening. Minus points because it's significantly overpriced. Service was noticeably reluctant to accept feedback and the invoice was not entirely correct.

Undoubtedly, the plate was beautifully presented. But that was all I could get out of that evening. The beetroot risotto had never really experienced love in its life and bland was just the first name. The men at our table were given generous amounts of both wine and water - as a woman you definitely lost. When the waitress came to the table, she didn't care whether we were in a conversation - she just talked. I sat at the top of the table and my neighbor's plate was always served to her in front of me. In other words, in my opinion the service deserves a lot of negative points and certainly no positive points. When it was time to clean up in the kitchen, it was extremely loud in the restaurant (kitchen open to the tables). Luckily this restaurant doesn't rely on advertising because I went there exactly three times: the first, the only and the last time! I definitely don't have to put myself through that anymore.

Price-performance is right. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The portions are not too small nor too big. The food was very tasty and beautifully prepared. We were asked if we had enough. Wanted to recreate. Gladly again.

Top, from the oysters to the tomato tarte tatin to the entrecote classic and the game fish soup, everything is of the best quality and very tasty!

Amreins are known for their hospitality. Now smaller restaurant, smaller menu, but still very tasty food, and still great wine list.

Excellent food but small limited menu. Good choice of wine, ambiance completely lacking. Extremely expensive overall.

Everything was very, very nice, pure holiday feeling

To put it simply, it's always amazing, top cuisine combined with the best products from Be to create a work of art at its finest. The finest feast for the eyes and palate. I've loved Be's cuisine for years. And Romy's service starts with a warm welcome and is very competent, combined with great wine knowledge and recommendations. An absolute must for fans of passionate gastronomy!! From my side, always happy. Don't forget to reserve in advance because of the small number of seats.

Fantastic food: every dish is a work of art for the eyes and palate with a wow effect. The service is highly competent, present and very warm. Haute cuisine (also for vegetarians). We will definitely come back here.
