Chez Bilia in Montreux

The hygiene of the restaurant leaves something to be desired with widespread dust and sloppy decoration. The terrace seems abandoned with tables damaged by time. This impression did not inspire confidence in me regarding the quality and hygiene of the dishes, cutlery and glasses which seemed poorly cleaned.

Good taste & i recommend if you are missing the Indian food. Walkin is strictly no considering high demand so it's better to book your table online.

I like butter chicken and cheese naan

Recently here for dinner on family trip to Montreux. Service and aroma of the restaurant is nice and hosts are friendly. After Matterhorn, we are very hungry and seriously craving for some Indian food and we are not disappointed. The food was nice and tastes good. We are able to finish it quickly too 😀. Do not miss if you are looking for Indian food in Montreux.

If you need proof of my review, everyone should see his comments below. I don’t need to say no more. Hahhaha this jerk exposed himself publicly & it didn’t even take long. I have screen shots of this now too and will make sure every single social media one is aware of this. Something will be done about pathetic humans like him who don’t know belong in customer experience.

Nowhere close to kashmiri food, in fact it was not even Punjabi food.....

This is the first time I have tried this Indian restaurant. To be honest, the meat biryani tastes great and is very fresh. It is a little expensive, but their food was beautiful.

Wow..must recommended to anyone in Montreux. They have such great Indian food. We had Biryani and samosas and walked alway with our stomachs and hearts all full. Such a blessing to find tasty Indian food abroad.

We ate on the terrace. The service was very friendly, but forgot the naan we ordered. It wasn't so bad because there was plenty of other food and we were full enough. It's nice that there are enough vegetarian dishes to choose from. These were very good.

Absolutely Fantastic food. One of the best Indian Restaurants in Montreux. We were here for 3 days and had dinner everyday at this place with our Kids. All dishes are fantastic and well prepared.

We just spent our last night in Montreux with an amazingly delicious Indian meal. We ordered mutton rogan josh, butter chicken and paneer butter masala and all the gravies were finger licking . The butter naan was so fresh and yummy! Would highly recommend to people yearning for own food . The only feedback would be not to add color to butter chicken as the preparation is so tasty , it doesn’t need artificial colour and we ordered a plate of onion and lime which came at the end of the meal which was a waste. These were minor things , the food and service is exceptional!

Awful service. On Saturday evening at 6 pm I called for take away, when on google it says they open at 6:30. They said they can’t take my order because they’re full. The worst experience of my life. You should never have to call a restaurant in the morning to order a takeaway in the evening.

Called them around 9:15 asking if we arrive in 15mins if the kitchen will be open to place an order, very unfriendly service over phone saying YOU are always late, first its 9 then its 9:15, don’t worry about coming we are closing the kitchen. ( keep in mind, I’m a traveler and called them first time and I’m assuming he meant all Indians by YOU)

Needed a little bit of a desi fix whilst in Switzerland so found this place in Montreux. Was easy to book a few hours before as it was recommended to do so online. We were greeted well and were told we could choose where we wanted to sit. We interacted with 3 staff members who had a tendency to gather at the bar and stare which felt a little uncomfortable. The order process was simple enough. When the food arrived it was hot. Nobody came around to ask us how the food was, simply just staring. There were other groups in the restaurant but they seemed to be fixated on us but again not asking how the food was. The food itself was decent and gave you the option for spice levels. I went medium which is ok, my wife went normal and found it bland. The onion pakora was very nice. The butter chicken was cooked well and had some nice blends of flavours. Only at the end, we were asked how the food was. I think the male waiter was a little annoyed we didn't leave a tip in his body language and reluctancy to smile. It is what it is. I hope they can take this feedback on board for other 'Tourist' visitors. We will recommend this place to friends as the food was ok for an Indian in this region but again, they need to improve their approach in keeping busy and make the dining experience more enjoyable for their clients.

Food was great 🤙 You could see there was a lot going on, but we probably had to wait 10 minutes before we could order something to drink. Then another 10 minutes until we could order the food. But the food was really good

My wife and I really enjoyed the food here, which I felt was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had! They brought out pappadams as soon as we sat down, served with some really great sauces. And the Tikka Massala was just amazing! You can order your preferred level of spiciness, which for me was super spicy— such a great way for us to finish out our last night in Montreux!

We came for lunch here and were welcomed to sit anywhere. The waitress was welcoming. The food was below average kashmiri cuisine. We ordered chicken tekaa, kashmiri curry and chicken biryani and all were salty with moderate taste.

Excellent overall. We are vegetarians so we had the chef special, Kashmiri Baingan Bertha with salt lassy. The portion was enough for the two of us with two garlic chilly naans. Good ambiance, a welcoming staff! Thank you Chez Bilia, for making our visit to Montreaux an enjoyable one!

Without a doubt the best Indian food in Montreux and the surrounding region. The food is top quality (after living in London for 20 years, I got used to very good Indian food, so it's wonderful to be able to enjoy it in Switzerland too!). The ambiance of the restaurant is also really nice, and the chef/owner adds a special, personal touch - he cares about every meal.

Nice food, but they ran out of popedom, which was part of a dish, rather then say they had ran out, they just never said anything. But they did have popedoms to give to people who ordered take away. Very expensive for the service.

Friendly welcome, excellent cuisine

The place is simple and poorly located on the edge of a busy road. The staff is friendly with the exception of the one who must be the chef who shouts at the waitresses who didn't make a mistake in front of the customers and who speaks badly to the customers, it's pathetic. A small downside regarding the relatively long wait where people even left angry at waiting too long. The food is very good, well done to the cooks.

Disgusting. And very unfriendly and aggressive owner. We were on a business dinner when two of us found hair in the meal. When we complained, the Indian owner got mad of us and became so aggressive saying we did that on purpose, and that we had to pay the full bill (we were 7) even though we did not eat. Very unfortunate for Montreux which is known for hospitality schools.I don't recommend. Go on your own risk.

Schönes Restaurant, zentral gelegen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen wurde nach einer kurzen Wartezeit frisch und heiss serviert. Die beiden bestellten Menüs waren köstlich. Das Hühnchen traumhaft zart, sehr gut mariniert. Ich ziehe einen Punkt für das WC. WC war sauber. Jedoch ist der Handtrockner scheinbar gefährlich defekt. Er ist unschön mit Tape abgeklebt. Eine Rolle Einmalpapier steht offen rum und sieht nicht mehr so ganz neu aus. Dies könnte besser gemacht werden, z.B. mit einer Wandhalterung für Papierhandtücher.

This is the best Indian restaurant in this area. The food has authentic Indian spices and the flavours come together quite nicely.
