Very good Vietnamese cuisine. The dishes and soups are copious: To be enjoyed as a couple. We will return to this young atmosphere, a little noisy for us.

Excellent restaurant. The food quality was just amazing. The spring rolls were tasty, and the rice of the ca ri chay alone was already delicious with a perfect cooking, not to mention how great the dish itself was.

I think the best Vietnamese in Switzerland that I have had the pleasure of eating to date. Highly recommended. Update: Return the following evening to try another dish... The same result, just incredible. Definitely go.

I highly recommend this place. I had the best octopus salad in my life. We ordered a local beer to go with it. My family had other plates that were also delicious. Efficient service. Friendly. Call ahead. Located on a beautiful pedestrian street. Nice walk after the meal.

I don't really know how to rate such an evening fair and correctly. The evening began with a competent wine recommendation from the friendly and persuasive waiter. The advice that the initially unconvincing rose would develop fully and convincingly with a short dwell time was perfect. The appetizers, Banh Cuon Tom, came after the bottle of wine plus 2 bottles of water ran out. That was still ok, but the dish wasn't convincing. It lacks momentum and freshness. After 2 hours waiting we received as an answer to the question; Whether we were forgotten for the main course: "there are many guests here today", made us laugh out loud and bitterly, as we saw every guest (and that were many) who came later had long time been served and was ready to paid. After some more time the dishes came. A few courses convince others again, are not very convincing; one experienced better from Vietnam. Finally we got promised a free tea, cold or warm, as in fact the order should have gotten lost between service and kitchen (how then we got the pre dish before??) And why did non of the waiter get suspicious, after hours serving beverages to an empty table ? Ok, the story continued... but too much to bother you... Short, food and organisation not convincing, waiter and beverages good.

A pure treat every time! Bun Bo, Ca Ri Ga and mango salad are exceptional! Would not change a thing

We waited over an hour to eat on a weekday evening, and it was very expensive.

A decent menu and cuisine (I am of Vietnamese origin). Better to book in advance. Quite often crowded.

I didn't like it, because the atmosphere is cold. They didn't have a menu in German! It took us a long time to use Google Translate! In the end, the food was not that good, but very expensive!

Quick stopover for takeaways: bars and news. It was delicious.

Their dishes are super authentic and fresh! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere pleasant! A restaurant to do both at lunchtime and in the evening! Well done!

Spring rolls are quite big and so delicious. I had also soup with tofu, perfectly seasoned, and spicy. Stuff is friendly. Definitely coming back!

My favorite place in Fribourg❤️ The food is so delicious, especially the staff are so friendly even though I don't speak french they tried to explain the menu or to ask if everything is ok etc. I love to bring my friend from other towns to Chez Ginette. Was Always good choice.

Excellent service, super friendly! For the starter I had the BÁNH BAO XA XIU CHẠY (steamed buns - char siu tofu stuffing - nuoc cham) very tasty! And the meal I ordered was the BUN BO (sate beef - rice vermicelli goi, green salad, bean sprouts, cucumber - cha gio mint, spring onions, peanuts-nuoc mam) it was delicious! Total: 11 + 26 = 37 chf

The food is top. The map is small and fine. The service was very friendly. The only thing I can complain about is the telephone... especially since you have to call more often to reserve a table because you usually can't reach anyone. Secondly, you rarely get through for takeaway either you choose a different entry channel if you still want to offer it or you don't. I can understand that it is full and has low staffing, but in such a case I would delete the option.

Good Vietnamese restaurant. Unfortunately, the broths of the "Phở bò" and "Bún bò Huế" soups lack flavor, they are quite bland compared to traditional dishes. Good quality meats.

The three of us had a very good meal here. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. The restaurant seems very carefully furnished.

It's not the first time I've come to Ginette's; the food is excellent, nothing to complain about. We order takeout one evening, the order is ready at the scheduled time when I go to pick it up, I leave a generous tip. Once home I realize that one of the dishes is not at all what I had ordered (the order receipt proves this). I call the establishment no less than 5 times to inform them of their error, no one answers. So I return to Ginette's which is far from being just next door for me. They make the dish again for me, without comment. I would have been very happy to have had a commercial gesture (which I didn't get...) but I didn't even have the right to an apology, nothing, niet, nada! I find this just unacceptable! Not even a “sorry for the mistake” – which would have been more than enough for me. I am just disappointed by this lack of politeness which would have cost nothing but which really counts for customer loyalty. Not at all commercial, finished for me.

I loved this place it hit the spot since I have been missing and craving some good viet food. The food is plated nicely, great flavors, and our server was amazing, he was so friendly, nice, helpful, accommodating, and he played with our son. Then I went back to request something else from another worker there and she was also amazing and exceeded my expectations and helped me out a great deal. Thank you for the great food and service. You made my visit here in Fribourg that much better.

Fresh ingredients at a fair price!

We returned by chance hungry, the name leading us to think of a traditional bistro. Well, no surprise! A Vietnamese restaurant. And what a delicious surprise! We enjoyed ourselves and even copiously. We shared a starter plate just to taste a bit of everything and we were delighted, the broth was perfect, full of aroma, the meat tender and the sauces delicious. We weren't able to taste the desserts as the portions were so generous that we couldn't even finish the dishes, although they were excellent.

Pho Bo to take away: to be avoided I received a large block of rice noodles at the bottom with a meager broth sprinkled with slices of beef.

Auf das Essen und unsere Getränke mussten unsereiner gar nicht lange warten. Das war toll, da wir an diesem Abend einen irre großen Appetit hatten.Das Lokal ist wahrlich enorm ästhetisch möbliert. Keine billige Deko, sondern es war farblich das meiste sehr lieblich auf einander angepasst.Die Bedienung ist ständig sehr befleißigt und stets höflich!Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen!
