Chez ma cousine in Genève

The chicken is very delicious and the customer service is good. But the prices are higher than I expected and saw in the menu photos before coming. Really the prices in Switzerland are not for the Spanish pocket. If you want bottled water, you have to mention it, if not they bring you filtered tap water for free.

We went there without reservation, last minute on a Friday evening. We had no expectations other than the good reviews we had seen. I can say we were very well treated, staff was extremely nice and food was lovely for a decent price. We will definitely go there again if we are in the neigboorhood of the train station. A big thumb up.

Been a while since I've been - Prices now up by 15% - Fine, times change... But to be treated like a tourist and presented with a range of tips to add when paying the bill - At Chez Ma Cousine??? Sure, you can be shamed into cancelling the tip, but really? Unless things have changed, service charge is INCLUDED in Suisse - Hence the high prices (which is also fine...)

Food was absolutely amazing. Blows nandos chicken out the water and you also get so many of their delicious potato wedges. Considering it’s a mortgage to go the toilet in Geneva, the price of this meal was unbelievable definitely worth visiting

At my cousin's house we mainly eat chicken. 1/2 roast chicken with potatoes and salad. plus a few other dishes. the menu is small but effective as is the service. If you are looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and no hassle, don't hesitate.

This is a fantastic place to eat. Great value and very well run. We went as a large group (22) and they were incredibly helpful.

Excellent service, efficient and done with a smile. You feel really welcome there. The menu is limited to chicken obviously (3 options with fries and salad, one was with rice and salad since it was with a Thai sauce). You can’t beat the price for a hot sit down meal in Geneva. No need to reserve just show up but it fills up fast with the lunch crowd so better show up at 12.

Ideal place for a succulent, quick, simple and efficient meal. Even if you are in a hurry, no restaurant will serve you as quickly as here. Very convenient next to the station and in the city center! The restaurant is located in a discreet pedestrian area and is not very spacious but to eat a good spit-roasted chicken, potatoes and salad for cheap in Geneva (approx. 20.- CHF) it is the perfect place! Halfway between a fast food restaurant and a traditional restaurant, it’s a concept that will amaze your taste buds in the company of dynamic, friendly and welcoming staff! You will have a good time there I am sure and I hope you do too! :))

Geneva is a very expensive city and for those who travel a lot, it is a city that can only be visited once. But you will hardly find another place with the most delicious taste and affordable price in this city. Like most places, only CHF and, more interestingly, only cash is accepted

This place always hits the spot! The wife and I were on our way out of town and stopped in here for a quick bite before catching our train to Verbier. We only had about 25 minutes to spend but were seated immediately upon entry, even though it was quite busy. There was a place to put our luggage out of the way. All the staff were singing along to the tunes on the radio. Lol. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the day; Both the customers and the staff! We ordered the same thing we had when we dined in before because we knew it would be good. 1/2 rotisserie chicken with potatoes and a small salad. They don’t have much on the menu but they specialize in what they do have. The food came out so quick and was just as delectable as before. Really wish they had this place back in the States 🇺🇸. Will be happy to repeatedly dine here in the future if possible.

Horrible experience. We have tried to enter and they have thrown us off saying that the baby carriage had to be on the street and they have literally closed the door in our faces. Even some people outside were stunned. I had very good references but I can only give bad ones. I don't give 0 stars because it is not possible.

Very fair price, generous plates, very nice service and atmosphere, thanks to our little waitress with black curls and a blond streak.

The meal was good but the waiter was showing off, very intrusive and forgot half the order (yes yes, the Thai chicken and the diabolo grenadine, remember?). Also, not all people with Asian faces are necessarily Chinese or Vietnamese. Rather than wanting to impress the gallery with your so-called "6 mastered languages", you should learn English rather than welcoming everyone with a "nín hǎo", it's very rude if you make a mistake.

The chicken ordered arrived lukewarm as did the fries. As soon as we entered we immediately smelled the frying and oil on us. We asked the waiter to have a quiet aperitif and they brought us our meals in less than 5 minutes. I won't go back

A good evening and a good meal in this little restaurant. Very friendly atmosphere in a large room. The music is not too loud which is very pleasant for chatting. The service is very fast, generous portions at a very reasonable price. Very pleasant staff!

I purposely went out of my way to photo document my visit, as everything was amazing. The half chicken, potato wedges, salad and sauce for an additional fee was the best food I've had in Switzerland thus far. I'd definitely recommend the joint and definitely return. The wait staff were exceptional as they had fun doing their job but yet were professional and knowledgeable. Also, try the Calvinus beer they offer - see my picture for the exact type and don't forget the precision cut slice of lemon they recommend to drop in your glass.

It's a small restaurant whose specialty and main dish is half a chicken with rustic potatoes and a green leaf salad. Everything very tasty and great price! I recommend!

Very good chicken with very good “Chez ma cousine” sauce. The portions are large and the staff very friendly.

The chicken was burnt, salty on the outside and lukewarm. Otherwise well prepared. The provocative potatoes are old, dry and unfortunately cold. The salad dressing was from the supermarket or prepared by a bad chef. The staff is annoying with the stress that you should finally order. Noisy restaurant with the garden furniture. The idea with the menu would actually be a good one. I will never visit this "restaurant" again. The mineral water and amber beer were good.

It tastes like electric grilled chicken. It comes with half a chicken and fried potato salad, and it's a great deal compared to Swiss prices! I recommend it if you want to eat light protein. I also ordered green curry sauce, and it tastes like a sweet curry with a lot of coconut. It's described as spicy, but it's not spicy at all for Koreans haha.

The chicken is top notch as always and the cousine sauce is to die for. The staff is always very welcoming and super dynamic.

Spent a lovely hour here during lunch time about two weeks ago. Very nice and cozy place in the heart of Geneva. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the food is really good too. Prices are good for Geneva too. Highly recommended place if you want to go out with friends or take someone on a date.

This place was suggested in the tourist guide as a cheap place with exceptional cuisine. We ordered and less than 5 minutes later our order (roast chicken) arrived and it wasn't very hot. Furthermore, the cooking was not optimal, the meat did not detach easily from the bone. I think I have eaten better spit-roasted chickens, but in any case the final experience was positive, thanks to the nice place and good service.

I’d read that this was a must visit place in Geneva for a relatively reasonably priced meal. The price was good, I liked the traditional wooden design of the restaurant and the general simplicity of the place and menu. The food was good, I’d say the chicken was quite salty and I struggled with that a little. The sauce that everyone says is great is ‘ok’, sort of a thin gravy with not much flavour depth. Personally my favourite thing was the potato wedges!

Seriously... for less than 20 francs, in Geneva, stuffing yourself at midday is not realistic. Worse, the staff has humor and wit. We were offered a duel of desserts, cheesecake versus tarte tatin and frankly I regret not having taken a photo. In a word: GREAT

The soup is reminiscent of samgyetang and has rice in it. Generally, the seasoning is salty. The staff's service was good and they asked me which country I was from and played my country's music. lol

Arrival at 8:30 p.m. drink served at 9:30 p.m., people were served before us even though they had arrived after us, we placed the order for dishes at the same time as the drinks at 8:30 p.m., when we received our drinks 1 hour later We are told that there is no more chicken even though 3 tables arrived after us and were served their dishes without any problems. We left the restaurant without scandal but very disappointed and had to look for another restaurant to eat at 9:30 p.m. later. Thank you and congratulations to the management for this great lack of professionalism 👍

Eat half a juicy and delicious roast chicken, with good potatoes and some green leaves with French sauce in Geneva for 17.90 francs...an unbeatable option for Spaniards who are amazed by the prices of the restaurants in this city...and on top of that we They asked if we wanted a jug of tap water. There are 2, one near the Manor which is best to go before 2.30pm and another near the cathedral non-stop

Very warm welcome and service, good restaurant with simple and good cuisine, nice terrace located in a pedestrian area. Little attention to keep the children busy (coloring). Ultra fast service (almost a little too much). In short, good address to remember.

Very satisfied with my meal at my cousin's (with my cousin 🤪). We had a chicken, potato and lamb accompanied by salad. We took the salades. They are delicious. The portion are good enough for my stomach. In the orthomoleculair nutrition, you should eat protein/carbohydrates/fat with vegetables. So, I had a very good dinner today 🥰

Get the 1/2 chicken rather than the red meat! Price to quality ratio is very good, especially compared to other expensive dining options in Geneva. You will have an option of pork or lamb here but I certainly advice that you get the chicken instead. While the red meat was good, it still didn’t compare to the juiciness of their chicken dish — whether it’s the plain roasted chicken or the Thai Curry one, both are superior to the pork or lamb dish. Chicken is their speciality dish after all! Waiting staff was attentive and asked how our meal was a few times. Service was fast which is expected as they have a very small menu. Crème brûlée was also a great dessert with an after lunch express! Highly recommended.

This restaurant is nicely located at the corner of a side street, relatively quiet from the noises of the street. When I arrived, the waitresses were very friendly, very welcoming and directly took my order. The menu itself is very small, which I appreciate a lot because it is an indicator that the food is fresh. And so it was. I have had a main course and a beer which came very quickly and was tasty. It was roasted pork, so there could have been made mistakes when preparing the meat but this one was very tender! Overall I can totally recommend this place since the food is good, affordable and the service was great.

Sauce way too salty! Broken glass, I had a piece of glass in my mouth and I cut myself, not great! No gesture for the inconvenience, too bad. The chicken is good. Soup too dirty too. However good dessert but expensive.

It tastes like Korean electric grilled whole chicken. Still, when you come to Switzerland and eat it, you feel that it is delicious. Be sure to order the sauce and eat it together because it tastes good. The price is not too expensive, and it tastes reasonably good.

Good restaurant that remains quite affordable. The chicken is very good, I liked my Caesar salad, a little too much cheese, but it's a question of taste. Very efficient service and they have a beautiful terrace!

Very good prices for Geneva! 17.90 CHF for half a grilled chicken + potato wedges + salad. We had 3 people and each tried one of the sauces (2.8 CHF each), which I think isn’t a must as the chicken itself is very flavourful and perhaps even a bit too salty for my taste (the only reason I took a star off) but I suppose that’s how they keep the chicken so moist even after grilling. Service is friendly and prompt. They have a kids menu too. Forgot to take a photo of the food as we were too hungry and dug in immediately haha.

This charming place with friendly service focuses on just three things: roast chicken, roast pork, and roast lamb. They do these well and manage to deliver simple but satisfying food at a very reasonable price.

Chez Ma Cousine is a wonderful place and such good value for money for Geneva! We went for the classic roast chicken, potato wedges and salad, which was absolutely delicious and very generous portion-wise. The chicken was a little salty, however, so, although the Sauce Cousine was delicious, it wasn’t the best accompaniment for the chicken as it is also fairly salty. I definitely recommend the green curry sauce as a good balance. The service was exceptional with friendly staff. I would totally recommend.
