Great opportunity to take a break over the Gotthard Pass. There is a snack bar that offers bratwurst and hot dogs 🌭. Cold drinks, coffee and cake as well as a souvenir shop leave nothing to be desired. The employees are very friendly and have a sense of humor. 😀 There is a mineral museum in the basement, but we didn't check it out. The public, free toilets are clean.

A wonderful panoramic view from the Gotthard Pass. Free parking and toilets. The ambience of the cafe is really not great and the coffee was really bad (3€). I rarely leave leftovers - I did here. The staff was friendly. So a “nice-to-have” stop with no huge urge to want to go there again.

We were skeptical at first but then very, very positively surprised. Incredibly lovely staff, great bratwurst with delicious bread and little Swiss flags. Added to this were the clean and free toilets and of course the great view. Great value for money and highly recommended.

The view is simply spectacular! You simply have to stop here when driving over the Gotthard pass. I also got a hot dog that tasted really good.

Last week I was traveling alone on the Gotthard Pass. When I arrived at Chiosco, music by Davide van de Sfroos was playing and the service staff were so friendly and cheerful that it was infectious. Cafe tables inside or outside to taste what we find here. Picnic tables 50m further on, on a natural promontory overlooking the valley. Parking on each side of the road... sometimes the place is a little visited... In short, the stop here alone justifies going through the pass rather than through the tunnel, which allows you to discover the surprising landscapes of the pass, with its lakes at every turn.
