Baked goods are very good, but the bakery closes at completely random times and regularly does not inform customers, which is very annoying.

The staff here are lovely and their baked goods are great. An excellent neighborhood bakery and I recommend stopping in if you're in Bern and want a quiet place to grab a pastry and coffee in the morning. The woman who worked there was so patient with our broken German but also spoke enough English to help us out. We had a quiche and a croissant and both were excellent.

The finest cappuccino and baked goods

The best croissants around! You can simply taste it when a croissant or Züpfe comes from an artisan baker and not an industrial company. The croissants here are still nice and big, are airy and taste like something. There was definitely no skimping on butter here. The wholemeal rolls are beautifully decorated with different grains and taste intense. But the highlight is clearly the butter braid. I've never eaten such fluffy, delicious braids with so much good butter! The employee with the English accent was very friendly. Simply the perfect start to every Sunday!

Friendly service. The soup at lunchtime is served hot with fresh bread. There is also a large selection of desserts to accompany tea.

The best Christ the King cake in all of Bern. Whether with raisins or chocolate; simply amazingly delicious! The pralines and truffles are also very fine and unrivaled!

A very pretty shop! I discovered it in 2016 while looking for a good braid! Really highly recommended! In my opinion, the crown for the best Züpfe in Bern is shared by Coffeebreak and La Praline in Breitenrain.

The customer friendliness here has always left a lot to be desired, but fine products and low prices made me refrain. Now the range has shrunk extremely and customer friendliness is UNDERGROUND. In addition, unfortunately the hygiene regulations are not adhered to in the store for either customers or employees (I can't judge what it looks like in the bakery...) Fortunately, there are plenty of good alternatives.

The breads are delicious and they make the best milk buns in town.

Bread and other baked goods are amoung the best in the whole city. One star off because you have to wait a long time, which has to do with their cash register. Otherwise it would be a 5 star rating!

Love this coffee shop/bakery good coffee amazing cakes and sandwiches, grab a table and read its cosy inside, very popular at lunchtime if you go in the morning or afternoon its a great place to read or just enjoy a quiet coffee!

The best Beck far and wide. Everything is just fine here. Bread is great, my wife raves about the raisin roll and Russian plait, and I rave about the chocolate and vanilla croissants. At other bakeries (just around the corner) you have to look for the chocolate, but here there is a lot in it (may be too much for some, but not for me ;-)). And the vanilla croissant is so full of vanilla that you'll have enough to eat for a few hours. What we also really like are the dried pieces (orange almond slices as an example). And then every few days vanilla specialties like bee stings, cream slices, etc. And regarding the review above: And I think the Vully cake is delicious too! And if you don't like caraway seeds, just don't take the cake. In this day and age of commercialization, it's actually nice when a bakery prefers to be stubborn rather than greedy?

The quality of the products, the friendliness of the staff, simply great.

My favorite bakery for 15 years since I studied in Bern. The location is small and inconspicuous, but the craftsmanship is even greater. There are a limited number of tables in the restaurant. The furnishings are friendly and simple. Delightful baked goods of excellent quality and extraordinary taste are offered here. In my opinion they have the best “summits” far and wide. The crumble cake is also highly recommended. (as of October 2016)

Extremely talented bakers, awesome baked goods, one of the best bakers in town. Unfortunately, a little more stubborn than sensible. Sells wonderful Vully bacon cakes, full of caraway seeds. This in a society in which around 9/10 people can't stand caraway (e.g. in Germany it could almost make sense). It is probably no coincidence that the legendary Aebersold in Murten leaves out the devil's stuff and sells hundred kilos after hundred kilos. You could make at least half of the cakes without caraway seeds and then let the customers decide. If that were to happen, I would immediately have to give it a 5/5 star rating. But yes, certain people prefer principles to money. Only you wouldn't think that these would be found in the group of shopkeepers. Not very clever...

Best bakery far and wide. Braid so delicious and firm consistency as if it were baked at home. Everyone else can get involved.
