Charming and warm welcome despite our arrival at an unusual time. Despite everything, the owner agreed to serve us a snack on the outdoor terrace... delicious 👍

We didn't book and they were able to find us a table quite quickly. It was very busy and service was slow but friendly. Food was good, especially the fondue

Very welcoming restaurant, excellent terrace, we had a drink before going on the famous hike to the summit of the Dole, we came back to eat in the evening, We enjoyed ourselves... The boss is super nice. Everything was perfect, Don't hesitate... 😁😁😁🥰

An aperitif with the family after the ascent of the Dôle (magnificent view). Large outdoor tables directly from sawing fir trees, with added smoothing and varnishing. A problem-free order, professionalism, well-served drinks and a good plate of cheese and cold meats. it was a little expensive for a French person but clean, neat and without any burrs.

Very warm welcome - smiling and pleasant. Well located for a break during hikes - quiet and allows you to recharge your batteries to continue the hike. Very good food. Congratulations and good luck. Signed the Bretons.

After a long walk in the snow, the industrial fire, food and kind staff was the perfect welcome. It isn’t huge or haut cuisine but just what you need. Single story with space for about 50 guests, it’s quiet at lunch but busy at dinner (booking encouraged). The kids were happy with nuggets and chips, while my father and I enjoyed steak pave (raw steak you cook on a hot stone with a choice of sauces and roti or chips). There’s a decent selection of wine, beer and hot chocolate. If you’re not French, remember chocolate viennoise is the hot chocolate you want. The toilets are nice and clean, even a smiley face on the hand drier. The staff are friendly, multi-lingual and there the right amount of time. Btw, you will have to walk to get here, not much from the main road but you can’t park outside.

always nice to stop for lunch or dinner in Cuvaloup de Crans after a short walk. the food is delicious, especially the homemade soup but also (of course) the fondue. Young, friendly and efficient service

Very nice waitresses. The fondue is quite small for 24 chf/person. Still hungry after finishing...they don't offer jugs of water but only bottles of water.

The place that was worth the detour is an era long gone. Too bad that in the middle of Nature the welcome leaves as much to be desired as in a horribly touristy place.

We were a group of three people for a drink and a bite to eat (planchette). Arriving at 11:10 a.m., to an unfriendly welcome, we were informed that it was full for 12 p.m. We remind the person of the time and indicate our wish to have a drink and eat a plate, a story resolved in 30 minutes. Categorical refusal by the person. By luck and honor, a table becomes available a few seconds later. "Exceptionally" we can sit down but as the table is reserved for 2 p.m., no hot dish will be served to us, it is 11:15 a.m........... Fortunately the waitress is friendly, helpful, professional and fast. Two other customers joined our table and we received the same welcome. These regulars inform us that in this restaurant, it is an immense honor and privilege to be able to come and spend your money there. We paid and left at 11:55am It's a shame, because the place is magnificent and the service impeccable. But given the welcome, we will wait for the manager to be renewed to have the honor of visiting this place again.

I miss the days of self-service so much. Badly received. Empty tables that were reserved... And which remained empty all hour. Bad management and organization. I was “parked” in a corner and made to understand that I shouldn’t linger 👎

Waitress (young mixed race) very kind and smiling and efficient! Roasbeef plate a little "light" and when requesting for 1 pt. extra, the boss made us understand that it is exceptional that we are doing this to you!! Not very commercial!! especially since she charged us Frs. 12.- for 3 small slices without notifying us!! Good meal, but that's the way!! In addition I ask for 5dl of open wine, and bring us a desired one (5dl bottle) and instead of Frs. 3.80.-, we had paid 4.40.- for the dl..!! Here again......

Beautiful place. I ate there in winter and found the reception a little cold due to the fact that there were a lot of people at that time. Restaurant a little expensive despite everything!

Very disappointed with our experience this week. Normally the meat is great... Not this time. Tough meat and old bread. We've been customers for 15 years but didn't have the chance tonight. What a pity.

Fully booked in the evening due to the full moon. We made the mistake of changing the reservation twice, but that's no reason to treat us so unfriendly. The server really pulled it off with her charm and friendliness - great! The fondue was perfect!

How a waitress can ruin the reputation of a restaurant: refuses to let me pay by card (minimum 20 francs, written nowhere, for a bill of 14.20 francs), then gives me change by mistake (paying by card would have been more judicious). The food is OK, the prices are expensive for the quality served (but these are ski resort prices, nothing surprising), but with such service, a star rating is expensive.

Beautiful area. Great welcome! Even during busy periods, the organization of the service is fast and efficient. We ate well on the terrace. Covid plan respected.

Personnellement je trouve très bien ce restaurant d'alpage, nous avons pris une petite croûte au fromage car la grosse je n'arrive pas a la finir et une tranche de gâteau et pour moi c'était très bon. C'est sûr qu'il ne faut pas comparer avec un gastronomique mais je ne pense pas que c'est le but. En plus je trouve l'accueil très sympa et on reviendra c'est sûr.

After a great walk (about 40 minutes) from Givrine we came across the welcome sight of Cuvaloup.A pretty standard alpine chalet with standard fayre of Fondue, Rosti etc.Will go again as it fits well into a lovely round walk & sits perfectly at the half way point.

Typical mountain restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is quite reserved and does not try too hard to accommodate customers. We feel that they don't need to try hard to attract customers, because they come for the surrounding area. Damage. I ordered a rösti with fried eggs; They arrived very cooked (hard). I asked for them to replace them and I was told that we would check with the kitchen... They finally changed them for me free of charge. The dish was not very good (very greasy and without much interest). Thing to know: they charge VAT in addition!! It was not indicated on the menu... Never seen before in Switzerland! Ok for a coffee on the terrace but no more.

Disappointed. I already ate there 2 years ago and it's very good. But now, I won't go there again. The rösti was not excellent, but the worst was there meringue with double cream and givrine. When we were served dessert, we thought they had made a mistake and put a scoop of ice cream visually. But it was the double cream which was very double according to the waiter and it felt like eating butter.

The restaurant offers typical dishes of the Swiss mountain tradition. The menu is short with mainly cheese-based dishes. The dishes offered are substantial, good and appetizing. The quantities are generous so please consider this when ordering. Prices normal. Convivial environment. Excellent location to finish a walk. Very kind and friendly staff.
