Tiramisu cuts are so heavenly that you immediately forget the waiter's lack of a smile. The chocolate cake stick looked so delicious that the collected drool was barely enough to get the bite down without choking. From the day before yesterday? After all, you then long for even more liquid. Pleasant, well-kept atmosphere.

The service can be rated poorly because it is a self-service restaurant. With these averagely high prices and the amount of staff, I think service at the table should be an option, after all you pay a surcharge for consumption in the restaurant anyway. The salespeople are 90% friendly, 10% arrogant. What bothers me is that as a long-time customer I have to pay for the toilet if I don't consume anything, so there is a pressure to consume. That just reminds me of those train station restaurants where you have to pay 2 CHF at the turnstile so you can go to the toilet. The Burkhard bakery's argument is that there was a riot in their toilet. In my opinion, you can tell when the customer is given the key whether they are going to riot in the toilet. In summary, this bakery could score points with first-class service, i.e. friendly, courteous service at the table, and thus massively boost its image.

Beautiful place, very pleasant atmosphere but service leaves a lot to be desired. You can't have a flavored cappuccino. What's so difficult about tipping 60Rp on divers and adding doping? Pure convenience. You won't be asked whether take away or in house, but simply served in a paper cup.

This bakery doesn't suit me. Why? Baked goods: these are all very heavily leavened so it looks like a lot. When you bite into it you get more of a cotton candy feeling: the piece collapses into itself. It has happened to me more than once that I received a sandwich from the day before in the morning. Patisserie: over-sweetened and, above all, cost-increasing ingredients are saved. Example: vermicelle. A thin layer of vermicelle covers all the cheap junk underneath. Friendliness: In all the branches I know, the staff is unfriendly. Especially in Lyss at the train station, the unfriendliness is hard to beat. As a guest, or Customers don't feel welcome at all. Prices: everything is heavily overpriced. Summary: the worst bakery I know. Even worse than Glatz in Bern. Expensive, mediocre quality, extremely unfriendly. So far I prefer shopping at Coop and Migros. Addendum: the 8-franc braid is already dried out and inedible the day after purchase.

Sorry but the ham croissants are far too expensive for what they offer, there is only dough and no ham mixture. I won't come back👎

I found the Gipfeli from the nearby Coop Pronto better than yours. Shameful to expect 1fr. from a 12 year old child to go to the bathroom, among other things after the parent has paid 15 fr. for inedible gipfali and nussgipfali. Smile more, and be kinder to customers

Good selection, friendly staff. Unfortunately the quality is decreasing. The bread in particular is increasingly dry, even the small rolls are often too dry. 8.- It's just not possible for a dried out whole grain cake. Other products are barely edible because they are completely oversweetened, such as the Bircher mueslin or the new rooibos vanilla iced tea. I will increasingly avoid the store because dried out, overpriced bread is simply not acceptable.

Very dissatisfied with the service. 3 minutes before 7. My train is already approaching and I knock on the window, as it says on the window, on the control panel on the track side, so that I can get some bread before my train leaves at 7:00 a.m. All the items are ready and the boxes have been put away. The waitress looks at me, looks at the clock, asks something about her colleague and both of them skillfully ignore me and both walk back and forth about a meter in front of my nose. I feel like I was ordered and not picked up. Since my train is already there and I've somehow lost my joy, I get on. But watch the flap from the train. I would like to give 5 stars because most of the employees in the Lyss branch are very nice, but unfortunately not all of them. Marc Jäggi is always so unfriendly towards customers that it really spoils your mood.

Unfortunately, the butter croissants, like many other things, are far too dry - you can get much better things in a Coop Pronto and at a reasonable price. And on Sunday morning after 9 a.m. you don't even have to try to get a plait or a croissant because everything is already gone at that time. I find it extremely sad that there are no good bakeries in Lyss anymore.

I find the furnishings very sparse and cold. It reminds me of my childhood with these chairs. The Black Forest cake was no comparison to these wonderful ones at Migros.

Bought some bread here this morning. When I cut it in the afternoon, it was hard inside and out - looks like it was baked again. 400g bread for 4.50 CHF. Such quality for such a price is unacceptable.

The recipe for the chocolate croissants has been changed, it's a shame, I won't buy them anymore. Instead of dark chocolate, light chocolate is now used. It no longer tastes like chocolate but just sweet to the power of 10, absolutely inedible and has nothing to do with a chocolate croissant for me.

My favorite bakery. Fine breads, Sunday braids and menus to take away, everything super fine. The chocolate cake is unrivaled. The staff is very friendly and spreads a good atmosphere 🤗

Ordered breakfast twice on Sunday morning in the bakery at Lyss train station. Since we were Swiss in this region for the first time and wanted to enjoy our breakfast there in a wonderful Airbnb... the breakfast tasted excellent... the price is really very expensive... but the best thing about the story was that 2 hot drinks were included in the price for every breakfast.....which neither of us wanted to consume.....it was too much....when I asked very nicely; whether we could have mineral water instead... it was explained to me in a sharp, firm and unfriendly tone that this wasn't possible here, they wouldn't even start!! Well understood....I just wanted 1 bottle of Rivella blue...3 Fr. instead of 2 cups of coffee....for the price of how much??.... I find something like that inflexible...unfriendly...almost stubborn...we wouldn't have advertised it...extremely unfortunate... Conclusion.....don't go there twice....there are very good alternatives!!

We are always in Lyss on Tuesdays. A breakfast at the Burkhard bakery is also a good idea. It's a great bakery with lots of offerings. You can enjoy your breakfast in the seats inside or outside on the Burkhard terrace. It is very clean and the Covid guidelines are adhered to very well. The Burkhard bakery is a few meters away from Lyss train station. I can recommend a visit to everyone with a clear conscience. I am a big fan of this Bakery, I normally goes to the one in Biel, I was at the location Lyss in July 30th on my way back from Vaccination, I got all different type of croissants they have. I was tasting & thinking, the flavor was not 100% butter, it had some off flavor we get from the vegetable fat. Perhaps it is just me, .. No, actually I also got croissants from Migros and compared side by side. The one from Migros did have the butter flavor for sure. I am not sure what happened 🤪

Your employee is really rude and poorly educated. Already she doesn't ask if the customer needs water or anything else and when you ask her for a glass of water she answers poorly. Your bar was my daily bar where I always make breakfast with my husband and often with friends. But because of this employee I will come back more. Because it gives a bad image of the service
