I ate at this restaurant with a friend of mine who lives here in London. Dinner to say the least spacey, it starts with a good appetizer offered and then moves on to the main course concluding with an excellent baklava offered by the house. Friendly and fast service. Everything is super, there's nothing else to add.

Amazing tasty food on display and cooked right in front of your eyes so nothing is hidden. The menu is varied and has something for everyone…drinks are made from HEAVEN & somehow end up delivered with a smile to our table! The staff are very welcoming from the moment you enter and it’s a very clean and hygienic establishment! I love this family run business and have to say I will be back again but maybe just dine for 2 as large groups on a Friday night is ALOT!!!! Second time having a family celebration of life in this restaurant because the first time was absolutely spot on and the food was AMAZEBALLS!!!!! Last night was very busy and we had to have some negotiations with our servers about the timing and quality of food - they were very very good at making us happy with our bill as way of apology for the ‘service’ as we are all human and the chef makes mistakes also! ….this is the ONLY reason I dropped off a star for food and service otherwise its 10/10 across the board! I also recommend book in advance and arrive early and all guests on-time!!

The best Turkish food in London by Far. Better than the famous Gokyuzu in Harringay. Very friendly staff. Extremely juicy meat. So flavourful. Come here once and you will understand what I'm trying to express here. Very reasonably priced. I guarantee you wouldn't be disappointed. Trust me!

Good food, nice place. The only negative I could say is that the menu is set in stone. So, for example, you can not request extra of anything it is as is on the menu. But that being said, the food is really good. Staff is polite and welcoming, and I will happily eat there again. Little tip there lamb chop are gorgeous 👌

The food served here is excellent. Very tasty indeed. It’s meat heavy but I have the vegetable moussaka and it was good. Nice salads an accompaniments make it a nice meal at a good price too. Definitely going again.

Best turkish restaurant I've ever been too. Can't count how many times I've been but I have never ever left there disappointed! The food is always fresh and plenty full. Good for small groups and large groups.

Cocktails were very fresh. Food was good. They give so many things complementary like pita, salad, sauces and more! Grilled food needed some more spice but that's just 'cause I like spicy food and the sauces they gave helped with that. The staff is super kind and friendly even though the restaurant was almost full. Highly recommended.

Food is delicious, staff are really friendly. Takes a while to collect orders but the fresh bread that comes as free appetisers is a great distraction to that. Free baklava after meals as well. Would definitely visit again

Came here on Friday with a group of friends for a bday! Absolutely blown away by how good the food was - I had the Ali Nazik lamb served over smoked aubergine puree and it was absolute fantastic. I went to Mangal II (high end middle eastern restaurant in Dalston) recently, and this meal easily stood toe to toe with it...wait staff were also lovely!

Food is fantastic. All cooked over charcoals which gives a great flavour. Only downside is that because it is so popular it gets very busy at weekends and you may have to wait for a table but its worth the wait.

Must eat Turkish restaurant in the area

This place is very good. I have been to Istanbul recently and ate out 3 times a day, but this place was actually better, albeit almost triple the price! Lovely grilled meats, smoky bread with sumac and onion sauce to drench it in, fresh crisp salad, even the bulgar stuff (which i dont normally like) was nice. All of the above comes when you order a main meal which features an array of traditional, authentic Turkish kebabs. Sadly the prices are a little high for my liking, charging £6.50 for a bottle is beer is a rip off.

I had the lamb beyti sarma and it was the best I have had. You also get complimentary starters (bread, dip and salad) so it's incredibly filling but it all tastes amazing. I love this place.

I visited with work colleagues to celebrate Christmas. The atmosphere was nice and lively. The food was OK, a lot of meet and little salad options. The service was regular, seemed very busy, unable to remeber and assist people properly. It may be better when it's not a group booking. Not sure I will visit again.

I have used Dem’s restaurant for the last 5 years along with my family. The ratings above speak for itself. Highly recommended. They say North London has the best Turkish restaurants. I think Dem gives them all a run for their money. Keep going Dem 👌🏾🙌🏽

Amazing food at a reasonable price point. We started with the bread (which is on the house) and hummus which is amazing. I went for the Yoghurt Chicken Beyti. It was like chicken meatballs on yoghurt with Turkish pide bread and served with Bulgur Wheat and rice. The portion size was huge! It was absolutely delicious. All the food came within 10 minutes of us sitting down and tasted fresh and delicious. The service was also very good too.

Crackers, this place exceeded my expectation. I walked in at 1155hrs on a Sunday thinking they weren't open yet but they welcomed us in warmly as the first customers with open arms. We were promptly seated at an appropriate table, considering we had 2x buggies. Kids were seated, and we quickly opted for a mixed grill + some extra bread. The place has a warm vibe to it and can tell it would get super busy on a Friday night considering they serve Turkish cuisine + alcohol. It wasn't long before the food landed alongside the usual extras: salads + dips + roasted onions in a balsamic marinade. The food was spot on, and at no point were we made to feel unwelcome with 2x small children. Super warm, super hospitable. We topped up on some chips midway through, and they were ready within the minute. A super efficient operation. There were more kids in the background making a racket, allaying any anxiety we might have had having noisy children. Once we wrapped up, we asked for 2x cups of Turkish tea and asked for the bill. The best was kept till last when 2x slices of baklava appeared + 2x lollipops for the little ones. A nice touch, nobody is left behind. Generous food, warm welcome + atmosphere & prompt service.

We ordered a couple of mezzes and the quality of the food was very good and authentic. The bread could have been a bit softer/fresher/hotter for my liking. The waitresses/waiters were very kind a d attentive. I would go here again and had a nice experience. I enjoyed the Turkish music too (thankfully they didn't turn it too loud for us to hear each other talk). Sitting near the window is better for a slightly quite spot

i live local and ive diven past this restaurant many times thought id try it today and boy im glad i did . food is excellent authentic turkish quisine the restaurant was clean and very spacious the service was faultless the food was served very fast although it was quiet when i went ( monday afternoon ) a local gem will definately be a regular there now

It has a nice authentic Turkish decor and welcoming. We chose a nice quiet time to go and enjoy the meal. We ordered starters I had the halloumi rating 3/5 and my friend had the falafel she rated it 3.5/5 and they give you this amazing bread as a starter that tastes amazing. No this bread. Yeah that’s a 4.5 out of 5. For the mains I ordered chicken wings with the chips instead of the rice. (As you guys know I don’t like rice) I would write the chicken wings at 3 out of 5 and my friend had the lamb shish which is her favourite, she rated it 3.5 out of 5 and she had that with everything on the plate. The meals are good. I had pineapple juice to drink and my friend had a Prosecco . I would recommend this place for a late lunch early dinner I don’t know what the crowd is like at night time as we went about 16:45/17:00 and it was not so busy. Service was a little slow. Once we finished eating, no one came round to find out how the food was and no one came to ask if we needed to the Bill. After 25 minutes of chit chat and waiting, we had to ask for the bill to be brought otherwise for that the food is good, I would say 3 1/2 out of 5. I’ve had better Turkish meals but yeah for Crystal Palace location it’s okay

Amazing Turkish food, the flatbread is prepared by placing it over the cooking charcoal grilled food so it gives the bread a lovely taste. The Ayran seems to be made in-house, it is less sour and more creamy than the commercial stuff. Great service and atmosphere - will come again.

A wonderfully delicious meal with free starters and baklava. So much food we struggled to finish but able to take home for a cheeky snack later. We would definitely recommend. Great restaurant, lovely food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Had my pre birthday family lunch at Dem this weekend and it was so yummy. Best bread and dips I’ve ever tasted and the main meals were HUGE. Definitely going back!

This is a traditional Turkish Restaurant. It's slightly away from the Crystal Palace triangle, so not as busy as some other places of a weekend lunchtime. The portions are big, so we normally pass on starters and dessert. You still often get a complimentary starter of flat bread with salad, and sometimes a small complimentary piece of baclava for dessert. It's a very friendly and unassuming place. Hard to fault really.

Beautiful evening Family meal for my sons birthday. We enjoyed our meal the vibe was nice food and drinks good service. I had the salmon cooked perfectly. My sister had a mixed platter loved every succulent piece. Overall excellent night.

The food was nice, it came out in a timely manor and we got decent portions, but even so, £115 for 3 people's food (we had left overs, but not a crazy amount) seemed a bit steep. It was a sunday evening, so they had a fair amount of customers, but service was a bit lacking. Our server dropped our drinks which isnt itself a major issue, but then it took us about 15 minutes to attract someome over to the table to get the bill, and then when given the bill it wasnt ours so we waited another 15 mins or so for someone to come back.

If you're looking for authentic Turkish cuisine with a great atmosphere, then THIS is the place to be. My friend and I went last night and the food is simply, utterly, delicious! We had the hummus and a greek salad to start. The bread with the hummus was chargrilled and had meat dripping on it- so tasty! We then had one of their unbelievable meat platters which had chicken wings, chicken sheesh, lamb kofta and lamb ribs on a bed of that lovely meat dripping bread and fluffy bulgar wheat and chips on the side. Wow. Marinated to perfection and that charcoal cooked, smokey flavour. Just irresistible. We did not go home hungry! The service was warm, friendly and quick and the place was buzzing with happy eaters. HIGHLY recommended!

First time at Dem - located just off the triangle in Crystal Palace - and wow, this is a great Turkish restaurant. Warm and cosy atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, great portions and good value. The complementary bread was sensational. Really tasty selection of starters and mains - with lots of veggie options. Delicious baklava too. Wouldn’t hesitate to return!

The best bread you will ever have in your LIFE. Everyone I take here, has no choice but to bend the knee. They concede each and every time that this is the best bread they’ve ever had. Whatever sauce they use on that bread has been LACED WITH CRACK!!! I think about it every other day.

Went today the food was good but potions were small service was shocking had to ask 3 times for water and it was a hot day tiny pot of garlic sauce not enough for one person let alone 5 asked for more and was completely ignored will not be returning

Don’t be fooled by the slightly kitsch decor, the food is absolutely sublime. The yoghurt charcoal grill dishes are amazing and the starters superb. Great service too

As usual the food was great with exception of the ribs, all bone and gristle- similar to the chops had on last visit, little meat nearly all gristle. The rest of the orders for 4 other guests perfect👌👍

The food here is awesome 👍 The portions and the quality is great too. I can't wait to go back. It was a really nice surprise when they have us some baklava at the end of the meal too.

My kofta was really nice, but everything else on the plate was at best "ok", my friends meal on the other hand (chicken wings), which smelt off, we mentioned this to the manager, but i dont think he appreacted any comments, so we left it and quiely walked out, the waiter on the hand was polite, after we told him, he quickly lifted the plate, placed it on the side and carried on his merry way, and the prices were not the best either, for sure wont eat here again.

If you order a main dish, it comes with complementary sides and bread. The bread is so delicious that you won’t stop once you start. We were so excited to see such a variety of offerings on the menu, and the staff really take care of you by advising on which menu items go with other dishes. It’s a great restaurant to bring your family, large parties, and celebrations! It’s not uncommon for this place to be completely packed so always make a booking.

A decent choice of dishes on offer, consisting mainly of lamb and chicken. Also fish. Had Sea Bass, fries and some salad. Was delicious. For starters, had pitta bread and for dessert, some ice cream.

I’ve eaten at most of the restaurants on the triangle and can say without a doubt that Dem provides one of the most rewarding and enjoyable meals I’ve eaten. Not only is the food delicious and the portions amazingly large, but the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of food you get, plus the staff are really friendly and super attentive. Definitely will be coming back here again.

Best Turkish restaurant in South London by miles. It has become my local spot. Extremely friendly environment. Even my mother (who swears by never enjoying food cooked outside of her home) finished her plate (a true sign of satisification). Child friendly - my one year old enjoys running around and playing with the owners/chef/waiters.

A lovely Turkish restaurant, just of the Crystal palace triangle. Great food and friendly staff. It was super busy when we went on a Saturday night with queues waiting for table's so recommended booking first. Just visited on a Friday night and it was less busy. Still great food and friendly staff.

We've been here a few times now, and I've got to say they do the best meat in the area. I usually get the mixed grill, which can seem a bit pricey but what you get for your money is mind blowing. The lamb is literally the best lamb I've had in London. The flat bread they offer for free is grilled in a crazy delicious combo of spices/herbs that I can't wrap my head around. The staff are really friendly and it has a lovely family atmosphere. Each time we've been there it's had a great vibe, kind of easy going but with a nice little buzz. Really great place, a little pricey but you do seriously get good food for your money.
