Der Wilde Kaiser Beisl 2.0 in Zollikon

For once I did NOT want a Wienerschnitzel 🤪 So I tried the onion roast. It was also very tasty but nothing could beat my schnitzel. The wine was also very great. Thank you very much and hopefully next year too!

A schnitzel to dream about. But the other dishes are also delicious. Have been there a few times now. Always very committed, friendly and well-positioned staff. I can't comment on the rooms as I fortunately live nearby.

Everything is just right. The team really works their asses off to make you completely satisfied. And with success and real “Viennese humiliation”.

Very tasty food, our waiter was super cool, friendly and polite at the same time. The dishes came quickly and the portions were large. Wienerschnitzel made from veal, Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel can hardly be bettered.

The restaurant has been lovingly and modernly renovated. Friendly and attentive hosts. As before in Zumikon, the food was very good. A good selection of wine rounds off the positive experience perfectly.

The latest pop-up from the Wilder Kaiser family breathes new life into the Trichterhausener Mühle, a great achievement. Food was the familiar cheeky Viennese specialties. The fact that it was full on a rainy November Tuesday evening in winter is a welcome sign. Room a bit noisy.

Top pop-up restaurant with Austrian charm.

We were hiking from the city of Zurich and before we reached the restaurant we had an arduous walk that cost us a lot of time:(. The restaurant outside said it was open from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., so we thought it would definitely still be around 2:00 p.m. something to eat;). Wrong thought:(((! There was nothing:(! Not even a small menu for food:(((. Only again from 6:00 p.m.:(! If we had known that beforehand, we wouldn't have gone in at all:(.

Delicious and friendly service new Austrian food in the Trichterhausenmühle

One of the best Austrian restaurants in Zurich - great food, great team, charming location!

The Wilde Kaiser is an Austrian restaurant whose specialty is the Wiener Schnitzel. This is available in veal and pork versions. The schnitzel is rather expensive in price at around 44 CHF for the veal version. There are also other Austrian specialties and Austrian beer. The Kaiserschmarren is recommended as a dessert for around 12 CHF. The service is very friendly, customer-oriented and fast and the food is fine. The portions are normal size and absolutely suitable for one person. If you are a little hungry, you can also eat a portion for two people.

Unfortunately, the restaurant ultimately failed to impress across the board. The Wienerschnitzel only consisted of breading and it was dry and the schnitzel tasted extremely bland. The Kaiserschmarrn was also disappointing in terms of consistency and taste. It's really a shame, after the friendly Viennese-style welcome when you entered and the authentic Austrian look of the restaurant.

Is a delicious pop-up restaurant with incredibly professional and warm service. The Austrians know how to do it! Food is also great. Luckily, the innkeeper couple also has other restaurants. Still open until the end of June 23.

Great Viennese pub, first-class cuisine and service. It's a shame it's only a pop up, you definitely have to stay in Zurich!

Very good schnitzel. Friendly service. Pleasant enrichment for Sihlcity and Zurich.

We were taken to a separate room and ignored for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the candles and knives on the neighboring tables in this room were lit and rearranged. We didn't even receive a card in those 20 minutes. Since guests who arrived after us were seated in the restaurant without a reservation and their drinks were already on the table, we left the restaurant.
