The best spaghetti carbonara in Switzerland!

The food didn't blow my socks off, but it's pretty nice for an ice cream after a walk in the woods. There's not much different up there and we're just very spoiled in Zurich.

A must for us as a family every time we visit the zoo. Felt Italian love for children combined with Italian cuisine. Recommendation!

So the location is top but the rest is just disappointing: Service: untrained staff don't take orders correctly. It takes forever to be served unprofessionally. Pizza too small, quality mediocre but the shock: the price: 2 pizzas, 1 water, 2 glasses of red wine 135.—!!! Shame on you for 200 grams of dough with a little cheese!!! In the country you can get a top quality beef fillet for your money! Absolutely not recommended! Better to go down to the city after visiting the zoo: Better and cheaper I'll never go again!

After a visit to Zurich Zoo, we decided on the Italian restaurant next door. It was still a little too cold for us to eat at the Giardino so we decided to eat inside. The specialty was pasta with Parmigiano and truffles mixed in a parmesan wheel. It was fantastic. The portion was a little too big. We still have something for dinner ;)

The food was simply brilliant, we first had tagliatelle with cheese and truffles, the pasta was homemade and very tasty! Then fish and meat with grilled vegetables, spinach and risotto - it all tasted very good, plus good wine recommendations from the boss. Staff very friendly and attentive. Thank you for the lovely evening.

If an employee from the kitchen leaves the toilet in front of you without washing their hands, then that will be my last time there!

I waited 2.5 hours for my pizza

We were there spontaneously on January 1st, 2024. Actually only for “to-go”. The gentleman in the black shirt welcomed and advised us so professionally - or suggested menu adjustments himself - that we decided to eat there. The Google rating for this restaurant is definitely wrong. In addition to the 💪 service, the food was also excellent. 👌 We give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had dinner with a group of 8 people and we were thrilled from A to Z. Whether fish, pasta or pizza, everything was absolutely delicious. You should definitely treat yourself to dessert… wonderful. Last but not least, the service was extremely attentive, personal and friendly throughout, so that you really felt like a guest. Thank you for a great evening!

-Easily accessible with tram from city centre. Beautiful restaurant with delicious food with lovely staffs. • Wooden floor makes noises when someone walks on it, imagine at midnight when your are asleep someone wants to go to toilet everybody wake up immediately. It has just a toilet for I think more than five rooms. Our blanket is for single bed not for twin.

I actually really like the pizza at Dieci and often order it home, but the pizzas I picked up today at the zoo didn't taste good at all. They were very dry because they were baked for too long and in the two “Pizza Dieci” the raw ham was fried in the oven so that it became rancid and very tough. Usually you always get the raw ham separately in a package and only put it on the pizza after it has been in the oven. I was pretty disappointed when I opened the box at home...

Our visit to the Dieci Restaurant at Zurich Zoo on the occasion of a children's birthday was completely positive. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, which made our stay particularly pleasant. The pasta and pizzas were excellently prepared and enjoyed by everyone at the table. Unfortunately, the price is not right at all and the pizzas taste in the lower segment. It was a pity that it was probably the first and last time.

When it comes to eating Italian, it's here, the pizza and pasta are amazing. The price is fair and the service is friendly. You can watch pizzas being prepared. We can only recommend this inn.

We were at the zoo and wanted to go for a pizza afterwards and saw that it had a playground so we thought it was perfect. Unfortunately, nothing came of our lunch as we were only allowed to sit in the front and therefore weren't allowed to use the playground at all. It's a real shame, next time we'll eat at the zoo restaurant with a playground...

Excellent! A rainy evening and we were looking for something to eat with 5 children. The staff was extremely uncomplicated, extremely nice and accommodating! Thanks! The location is also brilliant, it's right next to the zoo and has a playground that you can see from the tables. Great for parents! The pizzas were also great :).

The four of us were there on Saturday evening, July 8th, 2023, rather quietly at Zurich Festival: lousy service with items charged twice twice. Instead of 2 Aperol Spritz, 4 were charged, 1 mineral 1l, 2l with and 2l without carbonation were charged instead of 1x1l... all in all a difference of Fr. 50. - the service invoice was only shown upon request, the cashier did not apologize for the mistakes (I paid at the bar because the employee didn't see that we wanted to pay) while the same service employee at the bar observed the situation while paying, unirritated and uninvolved - intentional fraud? I had to get oil and vinegar myself, long wait for food…..pizza great, service floooop!!! A pity

This is one of the only restaurants with a playground. I don't know any other ones in Zurich. Food was great and kids had lots of fun.

Before our visit to the zoo, we spontaneously had a delicious meal there. The reception was friendly and the service was also very good. The selection of food is very good and in a nice atmosphere where you feel comfortable. The prices are ok!

Sent emails, calls over two days, tried to contact via a booking agent. Their phone numbers don't work and they don't respond. Left us stranded in Zurich at midnight after not responding for over 2 days. Got back to us the next morning, trying to act like ot was our fault. Made for an extremely stressful 2 days and injured large costs to find a last minute place to stay.

We couldn't keep to the check-in times, so we asked for another way to get into the house after the check-in time. Our request, as well as 4-5 call attempts throughout the day, remained unanswered. An answer as to whether this is possible or absolutely no longer possible would have been completely sufficient for me. Conclusion: we were standing outside of Zurich at 11 p.m. without a car in front of locked doors. A pity.

Pizza was great Unfortunately the service was very poor and reservations were not made. They had to get the tables ready first, etc. What didn't work for me was to serve a used glass with cola residue. Find a no go for hygiene reasons!!!

Located right next to the zoo, this restaurant is an ideal change from the offerings on the zoo grounds. It is often a little quieter here, especially on days when there are a lot of zoo visitors. The authentic pizza and homemade pasta are particularly recommended. The Ristorante “Primo” on the first floor is suitable for larger groups.

Placed an order while kids were outside at the playground (which is great). Manager canceled and demanded kids be inside first. Restaurant was nearly empty. Poor customer service all around

We were a closed society. The service always lagged somehow. Water and wine were not replenished regularly. We had to make the staff aware of this. At some point we did it ourselves. Later in the evening the white wine was no longer available. The food was good, just without any wow effect. Maybe everything goes smoothly in a normal restaurant, but I wouldn't choose it for a private event.

The food is good, there is a large selection, especially of pasta dishes and pizza. I had a very tasty tomato soup and the semi-frozen pistachio ice cream was also good. Penne Arrabiata were ok, also a decent portion.

Clearly, the majority of poor reviews are attributable to snobby Swiss who have become accustomed to the Swiss version of a pizzeria. However, when you come to DIECI, you find yourself in a very Italian family-friendly, pleasant atmosphere, with very fresh and tasty food without the pretentiousness often the case in Switzerland. Additionally, the atmosphere at the zoo restaurant is very welcoming and cozy. We arrived without reservations and were greeted instantly, and seated. I was very impressed that there was no pushback to our request to split a pizza. Try this in some Swiss version of a pizzeria, and you will be lucky to even get what you asked for and if you do, they will charge you extra for splitting the meal. Love the food, love the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Something I should mention… I have a little test about the hygiene of a restaurant… I believe firmly that if their bathroom is meticulously clean, their kitchen must also be! Highly recommended

At the beginning of December we celebrated our second birthday at Dieci (8 adults / 5 children) We would like to thank you again for the uncomplicated, attentive and very child-friendly service. The food was beautifully presented, it was very fine in terms of quality and preparation and was, as always, convincing. The wine recommendation was perfect. I've eaten here several times and I have to say that we always found the food very good and couldn't fault the service either. The relatively young, dynamic and successful boss and his team always strive to do their best and the restaurant is always full. That some guests have something to complain about because everything isn't always perfect? I think you should enjoy the very good, authentic Italian cuisine and the great ambience, according to the motto: la vita è bella 😊. With that in mind, good luck to everyone.

I'm a dieci fan. However, you won't find the Dieci level here. Except the pizzas. Bad service. 1 person had a starter - which came straight away with the other 4's main courses. Pizza came half an hour after everyone was finished. No vegan cheese “there” - but only pizza or salad can be ordered - difficult for allergy sufferers. Then charge extra even though there was no cheese on it. By the way, the restaurant was almost empty. A pity.

Although there is a nice garden and restaurant, unfortunately the service is not that attentive and the food is nothing special and too expensive for that.

Great terrace to eat after a visit to the zoo nearby. Very good pizzas and desserts. Reasonable prices for being in Zurich and in a nice setting. Friendly service, warm welcome for families with children and play area on the terrace.

Sunday is Dieci day. We have had this Sunday tradition with friends for years. We enjoy the warm hospitality every time, it feels like eating with family.

For my university graduation, we reserved a separate area in the garden with an aperitif lounge and table for 16 people. It was a warm summer evening and the atmosphere was magical. I have rarely experienced such first-class hospitality. The entire team was very attentive, competent and flexible at the same time. Every one of my guests, including my dog, felt comfortable and welcome. The previously defined 3-course menu was truly a culinary delight. Whether you're a vegan, a fish, meat or wine lover... everyone was treated to culinary delights! The evening couldn't have been more perfect. Many thanks and greetings to the entire team!

Had dinner at dieci for the first time today at the zoo. Dried bread was served with the salad and was therefore inedible. While I was still busy with the salad, the main course (spaghetti) arrived. After the salad, the spaghetti was no longer as warm and no parmesan was served with it. One guest didn't even get any cutlery and we had to get it ourselves from the neighboring table. My glass was full of foreign fingerprints. Sorry, but that's different...that's why unfortunately only 2 stars!

Service inattentive, the next table that came after us was already eating before we could even order. Prices are absolutely overpriced for the quality of pizza, additional charges for additional ingredients or gluten-free pizza are unreasonable. In addition, the additional ingredient ordered wasn't even on the pizza, which was a shame! I'm happy to pay over 30 francs for a pizza but then she has to convince me that this wasn't the case, so not again. 2 stars, one for the ambience and one for the delicious Aperol Spritz!

The food today was simply great. Friendly welcome, water for the dog, very tasty food, fair prices and genuine hospitality. The slim waitress was so cheerful and put smiles on all of our faces. We'll definitely come back.

I really don't know why I always have a chance against the Dieci Kurrier. Now I've had enough and am looking for another one. Every second order I receive, it feels like, is faulty. Yesterday it was the arugula that wasn't included. Another time the courier came three times because he forgot the dessert the second time and only delivered the drink. Me and my friends had a great lunch at dieci. The caprese, pizza and pasta tasted excellent. The employees were all very friendly too. We received our food very quickly and only had to wait a short time, simply great! We'd love to come back!

Fine pizzas and good pasta. The service was ok, but only spoke English. The large hall at the back is ideal for a larger group and also offers a separate terrace.

The boss is okay but unfortunately he doesn't have control over his staff. Unacceptable and unprofessional customer service from employees. Give the store a maximum of two years under current management.

Been here three times and will come again. The best pizza I've ever eaten in Switzerland, and maybe even in Italy. Meat always cooked perfectly. Frittura di fish buonissima. Espresso also very good! So, overall, very very highly recommended! Service is always really top. For everyone who says service isn't good... maybe you should first be friendly to the staff, because they work for us!

Absolutely substandard service, unfortunately far too few staff. You almost have to help yourself in the kitchen. The pizza is good, but everything else doesn't fit at all.

Average restaurant with not so good food. We were tempted by the pleasant looking terrace but it turned out to be very busy, chaotic and the food was below average.

very lucky to find this nice terrace, outside the tourist hungry places inside the zoo. Quality food and service, away from the hustle and bustle inside the Zoo. We ordered minestrone (veggie soup) super nice on a rather cold and cloudy day and shrimp salad, then a couple of pizzas that were done to perfection, as a matter of crust and toppings.Although apparently new on the job, the server was very friendly and did a very nice job. True the terrace was quite empty, so maybe we were lucky on that side.

Nach einem Tollem trip im Zoo dachten wir würde ein schönes Abendessen und eine erfrischung gut tun. Jedoch war dies eine Entäuschung. Mangelhafter service, extrem lange wartezeiten. Und wenig beachtung des Services. Nicht empfehlenswert!

Were on April 30th. there in the afternoon for lunch. We ordered tap water for an 8 year old (we were prepared to pay for it) and it never arrived. Service was stressed. My caprese salad for Fr. 18 had about 8 very thin slices of tomatoes and 1 large mozzarella on it!! Sorry, just too expensive. Bread wasn't brought, I asked for it, it came (unfortunately also dry) when I was almost finished.... :-( Our son wanted to order gluten-free pizza (he has celiac disease), it was listed as such on the placemat, we said not. We all thought that after Corona the operators should be motivated, but we didn't feel welcome. Since we also come from the hospitality industry, we attach great importance to it. So, bad service, no tips.

Wir haben in einer Gruppe letzten Sommer unseren Geburstag gefeiert und das Essen (à la aperitivo) bei dieci allo zoo reserviert (welcher auf Wunsch von uns an unsere Location transportiert wurde). Der Service war einfach tadellos!! Erstens wurde wirklich das zubereitet was wir uns nur wünschten, alles war so lecker und mehrere Gäste fragten uns danach woher wir das Essen hatten. Es war wirklich nur das Leckerste dabei, von Tintenfisch, kleinen Lasagnen, Meeresfrüchten etc.! Einfach perfekt. Zweitens war das Personal perfekt organisiert und mehr als freundlich: wir waren begeistert! Der aperitiv wurde zum Highlight unseres Festes, wir sind überaus dankbar. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top! Der aperitivo war wie in Italien, sprich Qualität der Ware top. Ein must-to-go or must-to-reserve in Zürich!

The pizza was far too small for its high price. The kids' pizza fit in the palm of my hand, but the boxes were much larger. So I paid 21.- to fill my stomach a little. I think that's a disgrace!

Empty restaurant. Service slow and arrogant. Pizza chef has no behavior and goes on the offensive when criticized instead of admitting mistakes. No one in this restaurant cares about the guests. Unfortunately, due to the location, you don't have to bother with guests.

Absolutely disastrous service. Extremely arrogant and annoyed pizza maker who feels too good about apologizing for a burnt pizza. The restaurant only thrives on its location, otherwise you have almost no other alternative outside of the zoo. They would go bankrupt within a week if these personnel were stationed elsewhere. Very sad for the Dieci company. The reputation of all other Dieci restaurants is dragged down by this restaurant.
