Drei Stuben in Zürich

A great new discovery. Beautiful restaurant ... Old wood combined with subtle green, light upstairs in the "Stube" and in the same tone in 2 further steps up to the toilets in the cellar to a slightly darker green, which is also reflected in the colour of the menu card. The same style is also used in the kitchen. Beautifully designed plates without gimmickry but still with a potpourri of flavours and cleverly chosen ingredients. The capuns are marvellous. The duck is a little tough, but that's the only blip in the cosy evening. The service is super pleasant. The menu is small but every dream can be fulfilled with this great selection. The wine list is just as small but wonderful. I'll certainly be back.

I used to live around the corner and was regularly in the Drei Stuben. Traditional, fresh and of a high standard. I have always recommended the restaurant with a clear conscience. Now I was back after years and I have to say that unfortunately it has decreased a lot. The interior has lost its warm charm. No cushions in the cozy seating areas, no tablecloths or decorations. However, that is a very personal opinion... We waited almost 90 minutes for our starters. Main course was OK. But I found the price to be unreasonably high for the food. Service was nice and apologized. Our cocktails were also on the house - thank you very much for that! But I also have to say, when I see the pictures from other visitors, we didn't get the same standard that evening. Maybe there were problems in the kitchen? It was difficult for me to evaluate it, but the difference from before was clear.

I visit the Drei Stuben regularly when I am in Zurich. The food is excellent, especially because there are no typical dishes like Wiener Schnitzel etc. The garden is wonderful when the weather is nice. The only downside is the strange club that visits relatively often. The singing really disrupts a well-groomed conversation. In addition, the decoration of the Stübli is no longer up to date. All sorts of militaria and real rifles!!! Not okay anymore these days. A little woke zeitgeist wouldn't hurt here! Otherwise definitely recommended! !

The food started super well with the appetiser and slowly went downhill from there. Really nice staff and interesting wine, but the food was just a bit boring, especially considering it was CHF 50 for a chicken breast as the main. Nothing really wrong with it, just a bit ordinary. I'd go back, but only if invited by somebody else who wanted to go there.

One of my best dining experiences to date. The beef main with potatoes was just incredible. The vanilla custard dessert was potentially the best dessert I've ever had. I would come back to Zurich just to eat here again. Staff were lovely too.

Yesterday I happened to come to dinner in the Drei Stuben. And what can I say, it was the highlight of my entire day. A great, uncomplicated service that was extremely attentive. And a dream of an entrecôte on my plate. The glass of open Merlot also deserves a mention. I was really excited and would love to come back.

When you first enter the place, you feel the warmth and peace of home. They have a simple elegant menu. The taste and visuality of the food is magnificent. I would also thank the friendliness and helpfulness of the employee named Tamia who took care of us when we arrived.

Basically friendly staff. Menu selection takes some getting used to (little traditional food). Wine list only has expensive wine, and not particularly good ones. Food (entrecôte) was tough, which was also criticized and did not cause any reaction. It's a shame, otherwise it would be a nice restaurant. We were in this restaurant for the first time. The design is mega, homely and yet “modern”. Like in an old room. The menu is special and we were not disappointed. The dishes are incredibly tasty and beautifully prepared. The service was friendly - nothing more. The waiting times are always long. And the coffee lukewarm. But it doesn't matter, I'll definitely come back. Then probably in the garden in summer.

The waiting time between starter and main course felt like 20-30 minutes. I had a salad and the Stuben ramen. I and my friends were very disappointed with both meals. The salad was too small and the ramen was not ramen but a flädelli/fridate soup. The only thing that gave the Süppli a ramen feeling was half a hard-boiled egg. The noodles in the soup were too hard. The restaurant gave me a brush when I complained. The brush was good.

This is quite an amazing place. Looks casual or rustic but nothing is left to chance. An amuse bouche of panna cotta with pea beetroot and horseradish, salmon tartare and trout with wheat risotto, everything was quite tasty and sophisticated. The service was truly thoughtful and very good. Our waitress was so nice and spoke perfect English. Definitely going back.

Neue Besitzer, neue Karte (noch reduziert), ambizionierte Preise. Verglichen mit anderen Restaurants im doch ehere Hochpreissegment (meine Meinung) finde ich im ganzen betrachtet die Preise sportlich ausgelegt. Ein Vitello Tonnato mit 5 Scheiben Fleisch auf einer Thon-Sauce mit ein paar roten Zwiebel-Schnitten und trockenen Zwiebelflocken wird für 25.- CHF angeboten. Ich fand das Essen gut, das Ambiente mitten in eine Geschäfts- und Wohnquartier ist charmant. Doch die Preise sind meines erachtens zu hoch angesetzt, zumal das Restaurant ja auf neue Kunden angewiesen ist. Nichts zu beanstanden habe ich bezüglich der Bedienung, diese war freundlich, das Essen kam (vielleicht auch wegen spärlicher Besetzung über den Mittag) schnell.
