Great place to stop for a drink when on Via Jacobi.

Cozy restaurant somewhat hidden away. Small but very nice. Had dinner as a family. Fine food, short waiting times and friendly service at fair prices.

We were there for dinner! The farm is quietly and beautifully located away from the usual tourist noise! The service was very friendly and attentive! The food was very lovingly prepared and tasted just great! 👍🏼 The schnapps recommendation (Appenzeller) was also spot on! It's great that someone like you still exists! Thank you for allowing us to be your guests!

The restaurant is incredible, the staff is really friendly, and the food is really good, the dishes are plentiful, and the prices are really low. The place is sublime and very friendly.

We had dinner there 2 evenings in a row: the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is warm and family-friendly. The setting is bucolic. The dishes are excellent and very generous, all with unbeatable value for money! Truly an address that deserves to be better known.

We ate a very tasty cheese fondue and they immediately came with water and treats for the dog

Stayed as a family for 3 nights. Small room for 4 people. The room has been converted from a stable and looks very run down and needs some renovation. There are not enough hangers in the shower but there are holes from old ones. The website says that the floor is parquet, but it is a synthetic flooring in a rather dirty state. There is no kettle or microwave in the kitchen. You had to ask for a hairdryer. The owner doesn't speak English and doesn't answer the phone. We waited 8 days for a response to the message!!! The impression was that we came to visit the hostess without an invitation. The price is very high in relation to the services received and the quality. Respect your business and clients.

We decided to have lunch here before visiting the nearby museum and we were extremely satisfied. The restaurant is just less than 5 minutes driving from museum. The price is reasonable compared to others in the same area and food is delicious. The owner is very friendly but the menu is in German only.

We did not use the restaurant, we stayed in the structure and I strongly advise against it: not very clean and absolutely not up to the asking price.

· Very nice apartment in a quiet environment. Everything you need is there. (fully equipped kitchen, free coffee from the fully automatic machine, fans, TV, free WiFi, towels, soap, etc. For the very fair price of CHF 10 per person we received a breakfast buffet. Nothing was missing. You are in the middle of nature and for animal lovers there are horses, ponies, donkeys, chickens and a few flies and wasps :-) The landlady is very nice and uncomplicated. Price/performance top!

The restaurant is located on a horse farm in the middle of the mountains and nature. The staff is very friendly and the boss cooks personally. Very good food, there is water, electricity and showers for RVs. The prices are more than fair. We didn't pay sixty francs for dinner with soup, salad, schnitzel with fries and beer and coffee for two people. Some people can learn something from this. Thank you for allowing us to be with you and thank you for the “morning surprise”. We would like to come again.

Good home cooking, nothing fancy but everything was fine

The food was very good, the steak was fried until tender and served with a salad from the buffet. The hash browns were also great. Extremely nice service. We were allowed to spend the night in the camper van in the nice, level parking lot and use the toilet and shower. Thank you very much for the great hospitality!

Unfriendly service from the landlady

We always like to seek out gems away from the tourist crowds to eat and that's how we became aware of the Eichhof restaurant. The guests are incredibly friendly and we ate excellently. Thank you very much.

We were on the pitch with the WOMO and were completely satisfied, very friendly welcome, very fine and lovingly prepared food, extremely friendly and helpful staff. This is how I imagine guest relations. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back.

We were at the brilliant place with 2 motorhomes on July 27th and 28th. Uncomplicated, very nice hosts who run the simple pitch with passion. When we visited, a small pool was being installed so that guests can benefit even more. The cuisine in the restaurant is also highly recommended! We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and thank you again for your hospitality!

Einfach nur Super Ruhig und Schön

This review is for the restaurant, not the hotel or gîte part. We were looking for a restaurant for dinner while staying in Brienzwiler. On the back road to Brienz, we saw a sign on the side of the road that said Eichhof Restaurant Open. So we said let's try that. The place looked to be busy with regulars. After a few minutes waiting outside, we went inside to ask if it was ok to sit inside. The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed and not quite sure where to put us... it also looked like we were bothering her. Maybe it was too many people to handle, maybe we caught her at the wrong time. In any case, we didn't stay because we felt uncomfortable et not welcome. I guess if you don't have a lot of space inside and it's going to rain, don't put a sign that the restaurant is open if your regulars already occupy most of the tables. If we had stayed, social distancing would not have been possible...

Le cadre est superbe. Au milieu de la nature et à 5' de Ballenberg. Voir des chevaux, poney et ânes était super sympa. Un joli choix au petit déjeuner. Chambres bof car séparée d un fin mur. Dommage que la patronne soit si désagréable j y retournerai pas.
