After a chilling photoshoot outside on the mountain, this restaurant is the heaven of warmth and good food. It wasn't as expensive as I was expecting, quite reasonable and worth the views from the windows.

Very friendly service, very pleasant place, we get a little away from the terminal and the crowds. We eat very good local produce there, it’s excellent. You can even buy locally made products or chocolates there. I highly recommend.

I think it's a restaurant that needs to be experienced. I bought rahmschnitte and coffee and used it as a cafe. I definitely recommend the dessert. It was a rum cake and the cream was delicious. This black bird whose photo I shared stole the rest of my cake :) If these cute friends are around you, it might be a good idea to watch your plates as well :)

We came here for lunch after visiting the top of Europe. While the view was amazing and the food was good. Unfortunately we were told twice for two different things that they were out and they wouldn’t have it until tomorrow. Once for a cold drink choice and the other for the dipping sauce that went with our fries. Note that we had to ask about the sauce after they were delivered. We went told at the time of ordering that they wouldn’t come with it. That combined with the slow service meant they went down a star.

Great place for some traditional Swiss food. Even though this restaurant is in the middle of one of the most popular tourist routes, the food is delicious. We tried traditional Swiss barley soup and a selection of sausages, all were delicious. On top of it, the view from the terrace is amazing.

We went in at 9am in the morning to eat Rahmschnitte! That rum dessert deserves a poem. It had layers pastry and rum mousse. The pastry and mousse were mildly sweet. So the sugar glaze on top perfected the dessert. We had it with coffee, which was perfect to cut through the sweetness. It was my most memorable food moment in Switzerland. They had decaf coffee, which I haven't found to be common in Europe.

Beautiful view. The Eiger trail is an excellent way to get there, but you can also take the train from Grindelwald Grund or the Eiger Express from Grindelwald Terminal Station.

I went in mid-August when the weather was nice. If you sit on the outdoor terrace, you can eat delicious food while looking at the wonderful view of the Eiger North Face. There are a lot of Alpine choughs around, so it can be a bit scary if they come close to you while eating, but if you wave at them, they will move away. : ) The food was better than expected and the rösti was very good.

Best breakfast I’ve ever had. The most beautiful gym and terrace. 10/10 would recommend and would go back. THIS HOTEL HAS NO AIR CONDITIONING.

Prime location for all hiking trails stop before going up to Jungfraujoch. The staff was running non-stop so even though service was slow, still have to credit them. Food was actually very delicious, fulfilling, and plentiful. The view is spectacular.

Literally the worst service in the whole of Switzerland. You would think that people working in such a beautiful place might be happy… but no. They are completely miserable - don’t bother wasting your money here. The cable car is 100% worth it and the view is amazing… but the staff were so rude and miserable - 0 star for staff

For lunch on the day of climbing Jungfraujoch, we decided to dine at the Eiger Glacier restaurant. I ordered a sausage with Swiss hash browns and a chicken breast curry rice. I like hash browns, so I was particularly looking forward to eating Rösti. It really suits my taste. I like the texture of dry-fried potatoes with crispy skin. This Rösti is paired with bacon and three sausages, including Cervelat Swiss sausage and Bratwurst German fried sausage made of pork and veal. I really like the crunchy and chewy texture of this German smoked sausage. The chicken breast curry rice is more ordinary. The menu says Swiss cream curry sauce, but for Asians, the so-called curry mainly refers to Indian and Japanese styles. No matter how you taste it, you would never think of it as curry. What’s special is that almond slices are added to the rice. I love almonds so this is a plus for me. There are not many choices for dining in the Jungfraujoch. I personally ate at the Eigergletscher restaurant and thought it was pretty good and worth recommending. Compared to dining at the restaurant on the Jungfraujoch, eating Shin Ramen there is so expensive that it’s not worth the price. After all, it’s not worth it. Shin ramen can be bought at reasonable prices in supermarkets. Personally, I think it’s more worthwhile to take the train to the mountainside and eat at a restaurant like this one, and the food tastes pretty good.

For the best place to get a Rahmschnitte (rum cake) with a fantastic view, this place is a must! The cream is very delicate and tasty with a crispy and flaky puff pastry.

A very lackluster service. A boss who stood behind the counter didn't want them to be involved at all. There wasn't even cake offered with the cappuccino, which was even in the entrance area, as I noticed when I left the premises

Typical tourist "Swiss Tranditional" restaurant. No chance for a place at the terrace even if you consume inside the restaurant and then ask to move when a space gets free outside. Understandably, they want to maximise their revenue, but sometimes quantity does not guarantee this.

Some restaurants in Grindelwald could take a role model. Today's lunch menu currywurst with fries CHF 22.-. Recommendations: Cream slices as a dessert CHF 6.50

Haven't been there for 3 years. Change of host in the meantime. Soups very fine and rich, unfortunately only warm and not hot. Cordon Bleu very small. Price performance is not right. Same with Casimir. Fine salad. Staff very friendly. View unique.

Switzerland! Excellent views from top of snow mountains and had amazing Indian food at Bollywood Restaurant with Images of movies from Yash Chopra productions. It us indeed a must on the list if you are ever visiting Switzerland. The Jungfraujoch is an alpine attraction and viewing point, at an altitude of 3454 m. It is located in between the well known mountains Mönch and Jungfrau, in the heart of the UNESCO Natural World Heritage property "Jungfrau - Aletsch - Bietschhorn". The cogwheel train is the only way to get there. The train station is the highest one in Europe. The views from the Jungfraujoch are absolutely amazing, and so is the trip up there. Other viewing points within the UNESCO area are the Bettmerhorn and Eggishorn. Activities at the Jungfraujoch This is what to expect once you have reached the Jungfraujoch: A lift takes you 117 m further up to the Sphinx observatory. You can enjoy a 360° view here, both from the terrace and from the comfort of a building with panoramic windows; There is an Ice Palace with many ice sculptures to admire; The Alpine Sensation is a moving walkway with images, light and music, connecting the hall below the Sphinx observatory to the Ice Palace; There are multiple restaurants; You can go out in the snow and enjoy the view of the Grosser Aletsch glacier and the surrounding mountains; In Summer you can go sledging, skiing or snowboarding in the Snow Fun Park (not included in the train ticket); Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven, where you can learn about the history of chocolate and how it's made. Of course you can buy chocolate here as well; Several exhibitions and informative multimedia shows; You can hike across the glacier to the Mönchsjoch hut in about an hour. Be sure to only do this in good weather and with proper hiking gear. Do not leave the marked trail. The journey is an attraction too! The trip from Interlaken is part of the fun. Cogwheel trains take you from Interlaken at an altitude of 570 m all the way up across several climate zones to the Jungfraujoch at 3454 m. Preparation Check the weather forecast as there's no point in going up if the Jungfraujoch is covered in clouds. Dress in multiple thinner layers so that you can adapt to the different temperatures throughout the day. Note that it can be very windy at the top. Take along gloves, sun glasses and perhaps a winter sports hat. Solid shoes help too. Allow at least two hours to visit the Jungfraujoch. This does not include the time to get there. It's either a day trip or half a day trip, depending on your departure time and pace. The Jungfraujoch is located at an altitude of 3454 m. Anyone can suffer from (light) altitude sickness from about 2000 m. Usually it helps to take things slow and sit down for a while. Special precautions apply to children under 2 years old, as well as people who are pregnant or in poor health: before visiting areas over 2500 m, you'd better consult your doctor. In most cases though, staying at such altitudes for just a few hours is no problem.

A very nice experience today on October 1st, 2022 in the Eigergletscher restaurant. An evening accompanied by local music, great food and a very good wine list harmoniously round off this perfect evening. Always my pleasure.

The food was not worth the price at all. Also the service is really bad. They are really checkiing every guest as if the guest are not going to pay the money and someone is really trying to eat there without paying. The rotis were kind of hidden n at 36chf there was not even single sweet in buffet. Highly over priced.

It was worth the money and time visiting this place. It is an amazing, relaxing, and beautiful place. It can be really cold in summer so better bring jackets. Cable car was also fun riding. It's a rocky place so it's better to use a hiking boots or shoes since normal shoes can be really dangerous to use in this area.

Everything too concrete. Only open until 3 p.m., after that there isn't even anything to drink. And then some of the waitresses have a very unfriendly tone... which is a shame, because three years ago it was much nicer here

Restaurant with the best view The food was even better than I expected. I ordered grilled salmon and röstii, and although it was expensive, it wasn't bad considering the price of the seats.

The restaurant is good bourgeois. The terrace offers a wonderful panorama. The Eiger Glacier can be reached either with the Eiger Express from the Grindelwald terminal or by train towards Jungfraujoch. Not only do you have a view of the glacier, Jungfraujoch and the impressive mountain range, but with a bit of luck you can also see a pair of ibexes! So it's worth making a stop here.

Everything is simply sensational, the view, the food (cream slices!), the service (especially Eugen is great!!!), the offer, prices... wow. only rarely exists anymore. Keep it up. Also open in low season!

You are asked to wait at the entrance to be seated. We did it and after 5 minutes no one came by. We then seated ourselves on the terrace and were not served, even though staff passed us several times. After 15 minutes we left again and encountered more guests waiting and not being picked up at the entrance. It's a shame, the terrace and view are beautiful.

Very cozy restaurant, friendly staff, delicious food, always happy to come again

Four of us were there for dinner on March 19, 2022. The sun was shining and we were looking forward to a relaxing place in the sun. From the start, however, the boss swarmed domestic guests inside to uncomfortable mini tables in the middle of the aisle, even though half of them were still free outside. We were so stupid and still stayed for dinner. So we were able to observe this spectacle for a longer period of time and it wasn't just our snapshot. We ordered 2x Cordonbleu with fries and vegetables, 1x barley soup and 1x Rösti. The cordonbleus were both cut into pieces (we were fobbed off with half.....) and cold and the fries were lukewarm and far dry - felt like they were yesterday. The vegetables consisted of 3 leaves of spinach and 2 cherry tomatoes on a saucer. The barley soup wasn't hot either and tasted more like cream than anything else. And last but not least, the Rösti was so salty that it was almost impossible to enjoy. We are extremely disappointed to have received such poor service at such a prestigious location. We can only hope this was a huge blip... If there were minus stars to be awarded: this “restaurant” would have received many of them. Really bad! Shame on you!

The innkeeper welcomed us at the entrance. Even though we didn't have a reservation, he was able to offer us options both on the patio and indoors. Since the only free table on the terrace was still in the shade, we chose the interior. The menu offers a good selection, the dishes show creativity and were very tasty. Friendly operation, good service.

Always top class. Very well cooked. Meat, vegetarian and vegan. There is no run-of-the-mill ski day food here. And the prices are not exorbitant. My absolute favorite restaurant in the Jungfrau Region. We haven't even talked about the view yet.

We usually come here because the food and especially the homemade Ragusa chocolate is a hit!

Unfortunately, the Nüsslisalat with strips of lamb fillet is no longer on the menu. If you're lucky, the stroganof is available as a daily menu, which is a good substitute. When it comes to dessert, you get the bill. The long-standing crew is friendly and helpful, even when it's full.
