Nice pub right on the Aare - good for resting after a walk

Unfortunately I can't rate it because we had bad luck the second time and it was closed🫣

Simple pub where you can have a drink, for example on the sunny terrace. Service could be a little more attentive, sometimes you have to wait a long time to be able to order something or pay.

Was ok, price/performance good. Nice welcome from the staff who are courteous and make an effort - in contrast to the rude restaurant owner who struts around the restaurant annoyed and spreads a bad mood among the staff and the guests. (We noticed how she reprimanded guests about their dogs. In our opinion it wasn't necessary). She was probably just in a bad mood. It could have been made more discreet. Then we didn't feel like staying any longer.

Great outdoor location on the Aare. Nothing special inside. We don't find coffee enjoyable, even vending machine coffee could be better. Food and drinks are too standard, it would be nice if it were more seasonal, regional and homemade. Service very different. Not bad, but had so much more potential.

I didn't have a meal, just a cake which was very good. The place on the banks of the Aare is very pleasant. It is reached by walking along the banks of the Aare. With an armchair the walk is possible and access to the restaurant too

Nice little bistro by the river. During our last visit (end of October 2023), we unfortunately waited a long time to be able to order as well as for the bill.

The location is magnificent, easily accessible on foot on the beautiful Aarenweg and sunny. Unfortunately, the service staff is chronically overworked and rather unfriendly. When ordering food, for example, you don't ask what size you want for fries, you simply order the largest. I ordered ketchup and mayo, but only had one. The plate with fries costs 12.- which I find very expensive. When I asked for the receipt, the waitress threw it crumpled up across the table. The selection of dishes is otherwise great and very tasty.

At 11:00 am on a weekday, i wanted to stop quickly for a coffee, my baby had finally fell asleep and i could enjoy 10min sitting calm. I was rushed out with the excuse that the tables were all booked for lunch and even a coffee was out of question (?!) they wanted me to go to an other area but the stones on the floor would have woken up my baby. Too bad they are so rigid.

very nice place to eat, indoor and outdoor, not fancy food but tasty, near Aare river and walking area, and a beach for swimming time, at 15min walk. Perfect for relaxing time, kid friendly with litlle kids area, in the heart of nature. Parking is free but only 5places, but up the hill is blue parking on streets in 30km/hour area.

Nice restaurant right on the Aare! At 1:45 p.m. no more food from the lunch menu was possible...but chef's salad and chicken nuggets and fries from the afternoon menu were also great...😉

Today I had a romantic meal with my partner at the previously good Fähripeizli. Arrived, got cutlery and selected food. 30 minutes later. Have other tables received and paid for. 45 minutes still no service. 50 minutes ready funny, the rrogant Russian should keep it. We didn't manage to get food and drinks. Bravo. We then went to Lake Murten for Fr.200.-. This will take its toll sooner or later.

It's perfect in the Fähribeizli, not 5-star cuisine but exactly how it should be there. And what was really great was that we were able to take the ferry there and back across the Aare. As children of the Aare, it was a wonderful experience for my mom and her partner. Thank you, the dear ferryman!

Dear ferry shop Yesterday we visited the restaurant with 10 people, although there were not many people, the table was not set at 5:30 p.m. Yes, the evening menu is only available from 6:00 p.m., but we would have appreciated the service of being able to enjoy an aperitif with the guests at the set table, but instead we had to sit on a large bench and wait until 6:00 p.m. sharp Table was ready even though the seats were not full. The fries and the sausage were very salty, the meat from the burger wasn't cooked through and the service was simply dismissive and not friendly. It's a shame that the potential of the service and good food is not lived up to.

A nice place next to the river. Good beers and delicious dishes, there are small menus if you only want a small portion and there are main dishes. I ordered shrimp fillet with French fries and it was one of the most delicious meals I have had in Bern.

nice place, practical for a stop on a walk, but unfortunately not so great for vegans... although there is plant-based milk (which I appreciate, but which is standard these days), I was told that there was no vegan chocolate powder for a hot chocolate, then unfortunately the pastries are not vegan either, which is a shame because, for example, the Ängelibeck has very tasty vegan croissants or the Bakery Bakery also has a large, purely vegan selection - the Fähribeizli restaurant could certainly do that also order pastries. Unfortunately, no menus are marked as vegan on the menu, so it is not clear whether there are vegan menus. If the vegan selection becomes larger and this is declared on the menu, then I can give at least 4 stars.

Nice small but fine restaurant right on the Aare. Always well attended thanks to the beautiful location. Large terrace. Few parking spaces at the restaurant, you can also park in the neighborhood and take the short footpath to the Aare. Small warm dishes are available but you can also get large dishes, all delicious and good quality.
