Familia Pimenta in Basel

The waiter was very friendly but didn't bring fries as ordered but instead fried potatoes and a different wine. There was nothing for vegetarians unless you ordered something in advance. I made vegi schnitzel. When I was there the waiter didn't know anything. He said we don't just have vegi hamburgers. I said OK. I ended up getting vegetable nuggets. The restaurant was dingy.

just absolutely lousy as a restaurant! cold or even frozen food, poor service

We came from Stuttgart and the restaurant was already closed, but the cook gave us probably the best food we have ever eaten. The entire staff was TOP! The food deserves more than 5 stars... We will DEFINITELY come back :)

The service is terrible. The dish of the day is too high for what is served, there is no menu to present. The conditions of the space are not pleasant, including the toilet door being damaged and other negative points. It was a very negative experience

This restaurant was recommended to us by the lady at Mini Mercado Lima. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly lady, who happens to be the cook at this restaurant. So far 5 stars. We order 2 Favaios, 2 Favaios arrive with beer. Ok... Ended up changing. We ordered 1x Alentejo-style pork and 1x Octopus, 1x Alentejo-style pork and 1x Rojões... We ordered 1x red wine and 1x gazelle, the red never arrived so we ended up sharing the bottle of gazelle (thankfully). As soon as my family member finishes eating his meal, the octopus comes (see photo). And to be honest, maybe I should have accepted the fireworks, which actually looked good. The bill at the end ruined everything... In my/our opinion it was very poor and I just didn't give it 1 star because the cook was very friendly. Still, not to be repeated. Update: 1 star. Your answer demonstrates what they are. For whose soul would we have to lie? Silence is worth gold friend 😉

I found the table service to be poor, I asked for the menu and the lady said that the prices were all the same! Then I was more worried about the gaming machine than the customers! Food was good but I thought it was expensive for simple Alentejo pork!

Good service and great food and the portions are huge. Meat dishes could always have meat other than pork. But I love going there to eat
