FED Restaurant & Bar in Luzern

Brunch is recommended. The food was super tasty and the portion was more than enough. The coffee with the meal was very good. The price is justified.

The menu was delicious and getting a surprise menu is real fun. The desperate housewines is a real great offer with great wines. We added the cheeseburger as add on and it was amazing. Service was very attentive and fun. Was a great evening. We definitely will be back.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in town. Clearly by far the best beef tartare in the city of Lucerne. Service is very courteous, friendly and very attentive. Definitely worth several visits.

Call me "the day before yesterday" but this penetrating duality is extremely annoying. If the staff and owners were at least as customer-friendly as to switch to "you" if the you isn't reciprocated - but unfortunately you're not able/willing to do that ;)

Rather small portions, taste OK. Service and ambience very good. But the prices are not reasonable. Avocado with egg on toast 23.- and a bottle of still water 8.50. I've rarely paid that much.

I can't understand the good reviews at all. As if the reviewers had never been to another restaurant. The food is extremely overpriced for 99chf a course is just bread with butter (hahahaha) and the staff is either unpleasantly pushy or extremely listless. Absolutely not recommended, there are too many extremely good alternatives in Lucerne.

I've been to the FED many times and the food is great. I wouldn't go to brunch anymore because it's way too expensive, even though it was delicious (2 dishes + 1 dessert, 2 coffees and 1 orange juice around 80.-)

The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. The ambience is great! Also good non-alcoholic drinks. But it's really expensive! If you eat here, you should really expect to spend a little more money. Especially when you're hungry.

The restaurant itself is beautifully done and the staff was friendly. What is unfortunately not right at all are the prices. Granola Bowl 16.50 and Egg Benny 24.50. If the portions were appropriate I wouldn't say anything - but unfortunately it's way too expensive - a shame!

An awesome dining experience with Fed. The cool ambiance, the decor, and some details brought us back to our time in Asia. We got the surprise menu for our first time there. Lots of flavors come together beautifully, especially with our recommended wine pairing. Excellent service. Perfection! We will be back for more.

The food and the experience is very good. The conditions on the weekend, such as you have to order at least 3 plates per person, don't really make sense and tend to lead to food waste. If so, a minimum consumption per person should be crucial. In addition, the prices are sometimes a little high. CHF8.50 for a loaf of bread is too much.

Exceptional and very tasty experience!

The location is slightly outside the busy center but this place is very much worth a visit. The concept is that all dishes can be shared and everything we tried was very tasteful, was different from standard food (in a positive sense!), and was served in a creative way. Price/quality is very good. We had 7 dishes in total (incl starter and desert) which is more than enough for 2 people and paid CHF 150,- incl two soft drinks. For sure we come back.

The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food itself was quite tasty. However, the price for the Teriyaki Chicken is beyond good and bad. CHF 27.50 for 4 lettuce leaves and 4 pieces of chicken.

Great atmosphere with tables inside and outside, restaurant was quite full on a Friday night. Many interesting dishes on the menu all designed for sharing between 2-3 people. Particularly enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower and the desserts! Good cocktails too

Great experience. Everything we ordered was so delicious and our service was outstanding. I strongly recommend the baby lettuce, sourdough bread and the gyoza. The cheeseburger was also delicious!

I am a fan of gourmet cuisine. The experience is quite comparable. Creative tapas fusion cuisine. 5 stars without batting an eyelid.

Where to start... This is my second time and we went for "surpirse" menu again. You will not be disappointed or going home hungry. It is a lot of food. Food is very well flavored and unique. For the surprise menu they will ask you what you do not like so that it is not part of the menu - very thoughtful. Nice outside terrace and indoors interior is gorgeous. Staff is very polite and nice, explains everything you eat and is very attentive. I will return for sure. I highly highly recommend this place. 🖤

The cost of food here is 2-3 x more expensive than just about anywhere else around it and it’s just not worth it. I get that it’s costly to eat in Switzerland but this place takes it way too far.

The food is mediocre - completely overpriced! We had to adhere to the minimum consumption, even though we were no longer hungry. We were charged for dessert even though we didn't consume it. We also ordered wine and coffee. Don't come back!!!! You don't win customers that way.

We had made a reservation here on Mother's Day, but unfortunately one person was unable to come at short notice due to illness. We were then informed about the no show package, which I have never experienced before. We should have called 10 minutes earlier to sign the person out…. After the very arrogant employee explained to me exactly what I had selected when making the reservation, we gratefully declined a seat in this atmosphere and went to another restaurant.

I have never experienced anything like it. We made a reservation for 4 people on Mother's Day. Unfortunately the fourth person had to cancel at short notice, which is why three of us showed up. The bad surprise at the entrance: Because we were one person less and didn't let us know, we were charged a no-show fee of 50.00. Despite discussion, absolutely no understanding or goodwill. We then decided to look for another restaurant for Mother's Day dinner.

Nice restaurant but too loud and too expensive. Rip off! 6.50 for bread, if reserved for 5 and there are four of us, a fine must be paid (50.—). A total no-go! My first and last visit.

Relatively expensive and you are forced to order 3 dishes per person - guests with small hubgers are therefore undesirable…

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the service is top. The various courses were very tasty and beautifully prepared, unfortunately we had to wait too long for our food and the portions were MUCH too small!!

Had dinner with a group. Very nice atmosphere in there. Fed Menu pre-ordered. Food was good except for the tartare which was too salty for me personally. Scotchegg was halfway through and I didn't really like the minced meat. Sud underneath was awesome. Then extremely unfriendly service staff (German). A colleague at the table was asked whether the cutlery would like to be replaced. He didn't really get it and just said yes. When the new cutlery was brought someone at the table asked why he was getting all the new cutlery. The guy then said very flippantly “because he just ordered it” and then “we communicate here with cheeks”. I can't do that kind of stuff. The price is really high for the products that are served, the work behind it is of course a lot, but such a depressed attitude is not possible.

We were there for a business event, made reservations for 7, but only 6 showed up. That's a 50 CHF fine even though we consumed almost four figures. I don't think it's OK. Otherwise a very nice restaurant, worth a visit.

wow, it was a real dining experience with friendly and helpful service. We had the FED menu, right across the menu. Be sure to plan enough time for this, but it's definitely worth it. It was definitely not my last time as a guest.

Food was very good but extremely expensive. 19.50.- CHF for a mini zander tostada.

So: For me it was just way too loud in this place. Plus, I was definitely still hungry after eating. The portions are really very small. The pike perch I received was more of an amuse bouche (but I'm probably just not a gourmet enough...). But really all very friendly people and good service.

When welcomed and seated at the bar (did not know this beforehand but FED is very popular, and right so! Would recommend to make a reservation). They explained the concept of shared dining. We went all out, a four course diner! Three savoury courses and a sweet one to end with. This food exceeded all our expectations! It was not only surprising, but it looked beautiful, the flavours were amazing and it was a great experience! The personell was also very friendly! Would recommend to go for a little walk after, as this dinner was not only very statisfying but also quite fulfilling ;)

The food was incredibly good. Very diverse and we sometimes had real taste explosions in our mouths. It is rather expensive in terms of price, but the quality and food is definitely worth the money. Super friendly service who also helps with recommendations and is available for a short conversation. We were really happy and will definitely come back! ❤️👏🏻

The food is fantastic and the concept is great (several small dishes to share). It's a shame that the open beer is only offered in a unit of 4dl at a high enough price. At least it's very good beer.

Amazing place where I enjoyed with all the “tapas”. The flavours are ultra well combined in all the dishes. I highly recommend the place, if you have doubts to go there, just forget about them because you will not regret :)

First time here for lunch but definitely not the last. You can choose between vegetarian, pasta or meat. There is also a salad and a drink. We decided on the pasta and an iced tea. Both were very fine. The service was friendly and friendly. We will be back.

THE BEST buffalo cauliflower bites ive ever had. NEED to try. Also their small plates were fantastic.

The food was fine, but certainly not great as many reviews would led you to believe. The staff were lovely, until the end when the bill came charging 25!CHF for tap water. That is absolute robbery in my opinion especially as we also ordered plenty of wine. Don't believe the hype.

The best restaurant in Lucerne!

A wonderful spot for culinary delights. Whether it's a juicy burger or a fine Thai curry. At the FED, the highest quality food is served and prepared by the young team of Simon and crew. A real hotspot. By the way, eating gluten-free is also possible. Be sure to note this when making your reservation.

Very, very expensive restaurant in a good location. The Fed is a nice location, but far too expensive. 89.- per person for dessert without drinks. Unfortunately, the service wasn't courteous either. We waited over 1.5 hours after the first course. It wasn't even cleared away. There was no refill and even after 4 hours of dinner, you were never asked if you wanted to drink anything else. Unfortunately, price-performance isn't right for my taste. Very, very exclusive restaurant, but was my first and last visit.

Top! We really enjoyed the various dishes. It's great that there are lots of delicious vegetarian/vegan dishes. Because of the menu you don't know exactly what form the food comes in - so there is a little surprise factor. In addition, everything was beautifully prepared. The service was also top notch.

Went there with friend for dinner and ordered tartar which is something I ate already so many times before in my life and usually enjoy it. The one I got in Fed was really salty, I could not taste the meat at all which I think was in the end on purpose to hide old meat taste, yes I got stomach issues day after. The second course was the restaurants take on Cordon blue and it was really weird eating pork with cheese while smelling fish due to the sea weed grass placed on it. The margarita I got was children size, and the dessert of my friend was totally tasteless. It honestly tasted like cheapest ice cream from box with some wiped cream on it. This restaurant got the looks of the interior right and has really nice service, but food was simply waste of my money and time. Will not come back. I found out one week later that my friend was there one week before me and felt very much let down by the food as well. Same feeling nice interior and service but bad overpriced food.

The food was pretty good. Unfortunately the service was very unfriendly. At the beginning we were given good advice about what to eat, but the waitress always seemed very annoyed when we ordered something. After paying the final bill, he disappeared at the checkout without saying goodbye or anything. I think it's a shame...

Super fine flavors combined. Beautifully staged all around. Service very friendly and authentically pleasant. Only the strawberry garnish is unnecessary and inappropriate. I think such a modern, great individual concept with planted elements and nose to tail approaches can and should do without the strawberry.

The restaurant is very well decorated, the staff is very friendly and knows about the dishes. We tried almost everything. Mussel wasn't good, The bread (with long gering) was ok but not great. The starters were also good. But the potatoes with cream were very hard and had a basic taste. The marked bark tongue was not good, it tastes like blood, I think it is not well cleaned of blood. The hamburger we thought was a Mcdonald hamburger, but here only a small chersburger costs 14 chf. Finally, in my opinion, the FED restaurant is visitable, there are delicious things, the price is upper class but the dishes are middle class.

Fun experience. Our waitress was beyond awesome and sweet. We were sat upstairs we had very little light so no good food pictures to post, might consider that in a very visual driven society. We were a little stunned by the inflexibility of the kitchen, as we wanted to order some fires, as we saw them served at another table, but those were specifically for children. We just wondered how such a young and cool establishment can be so strict, also the tone of voice which was used – really didn't do it. Other then that, cool!
