I have very little to say, kind, professional, helpful, present but not at all intrusive... blah blah blah... BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING... 5 Star FOOD! Exceptional meat quality. Moist and juicy, very soft and with a perfect bite, you could crush it and mistreat it... it didn't lose a drop of water. Thanks to the whole team and a well-deserved 5 stars to the chef and the entire kitchen.

After a long walk, you reach Sasso Corbaro and inside the courtyard there is a tavern with outdoor tables. Very courteous and attentive staff. We had an aperitif and they brought us the house focaccia. Advised. After consulting the menu we will certainly return for a family lunch.

Seeing three castles in one place, I couldn't resist seeing them all. This one is the highest. Unfortunately, it was closed and so was the restaurant. However, you could admire the surroundings from the defensive walls, which I encourage you to do. There are two parking lots near the castle. For those who like less effort, I recommend the one located higher. For people who like to walk a bit, I recommend the parking lot located lower, as I did. A path with stairs leading up the slope between the rocks leads to the castle. An urgent place to spend a weekend in this area.

I have no objections to the quantity but visually it was not satisfying and I, who ate the Pizzoccheri together with a friend, had the same opinion... shorts of pepper and salt, loose and not stringy cheese, Pizzocchero pasta cut too short... a bit of a "Mappazzone" as Bruno Barbieri would say. My grandfather almost didn't touch the risotto, he limited himself to eating the mushrooms which he found a little dry. In the end we tried the dessert, “Crema Catalan with Tonka beans”, I think it was the best choice, quality and quantity / price were right. Less convinced about the "Pineapple carpaccio and basil ice cream" which was acceptable... good basil ice cream but the pineapple carpaccio was a bit so-so in taste, I tried tastier pineapple fruits. The grandfather ate a "Tiramisu with chestnut cream"... a somewhat "golden film" presentation (cit. Joe Bastianich) not to mention other quotes... I didn't take the photo because the grandfather destroyed it on the fly when it was arrived but I would definitely have reminded someone of other Bastianich quotes with the photo 😅 The problem is that he was hard as a rock and he didn't ask for a knife to cut him. After dessert we had a "corrected sambuca coffee" and a "corrected brandy black tea with honey"... the latter was a little bitter. Maybe it's the type of sachet used. Usually I am brought “English Breakfast” or similar. This “Bio Black Tea” was perhaps not suitable… although I have doubts that it could also be the type of Brandy. Usually I am corrected with “Vecchia Romagna” or “Brandy Baronet 36” and it is tasty and light. Here at OCSC I found it a bit heavy. Good honey although for a black tea I would have chosen something more liquid such as acacia or wildflower honey. Bill: over the top... unfortunately CHF271.30 for what we consumed is too much. We didn't roll out of the restaurant and they were also fine but we were a bit struck by the excessive price... perhaps due to the location but they have been in much more prestigious restaurants and I ate quality and quantity for the price speaking much better. Final remarks: The bill was paid by my grandfather who invited my friend and me to eat.
