Very nice experience at Fiskebar on this Women's Day. The staff took great care throughout the evening, with a personalized, attentive and very warm approach. The chef is very friendly and open, and took the time to chat with us for a few minutes; it was also really cool to be able to see her working as the kitchen is open. The dishes are sophisticated, original and truly delicious (not forgetting the cocktails at Fred!). A big thank you to the whole team, I highly recommend!

Very disappointing overall. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. We had 2 lobster starers and a cheese starter. 2 steak mains and a scallops main. Issue 1: We ordered a bottle of white wine first, it came completely warm, they asked us to give it a few minutes to chill on ice. So now we have food but no wine. A restaurant of this calibre doesn’t chill white wine? Issue 2: 2 steaks were ordered medium-well. They were served medium-rare. Perhaps a language barrier. They then get taken away to cook more, same portions of chips get reheated. And the scallops main is sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for the steaks to be ready/reheated. So the food now gets served with a delay and frankly tastes like it was microwaved… Not much of an apology given once the food arrived. Issue 3: We ask for the bill and it has a mysterious 70 CHF item we don’t recognise. We ask what it is, the waiter doesn’t know. They take it to their colleague who says “Oh it’s the machine” we will fix it. Again no apology at all. Not sure what kind of machine adds mysterious 70CHF items… This really did not feel like an establishment that Michelin should be recommending, by any standard…

Exceptional dinner with my mother earlier this week. A memorable meal, not just because of the excellent food but also because of the fabulous service from Clement, Sara and the sommelier. In addition to the exceptional setting of the place, it is above all the work around seafood that impresses. We see all the colors! Incredible interior, nice and friendly atmosphere. If you would like to challenge your stomach feel free to reserve the table. We have got stinky fish with curcuma powder, the kombucha as a starter was nice, but that is the end. So the date was horrible, we could not talk to each other, because of the smell after fish. I hope you will improve your service and kitchen departments. I would love to suggest to the chef and the owner to visit Maison Decotterd. If you want to have really nice food, you should visit German part of Switzerland: Zurich, Zug, Luzern, Matternhorn, it is way cheaper and tastier.

on the occasion of my stay in Geneva, on my birthday, I went with my partner to celebrate in this restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, view of the lake, very friendly and efficient staff. I give a star that cannot be without a star! Bad experience! And unprecedented! We booked a table and they assumed we were going to have a salmon tartare starter, and a sardine starter with water and bread!! For 5 people… not even the wine which was ordered in the second phase and at the end, when almost two hours had passed, we asked about the fish which would even be accompanied by chosen sautéed vegetables… there was nothing ordered!!! 10:30 pm they charged the starters when we asked for the bill without offering any compensation even though we knew that time would be bad for us to have dinner elsewhere... in short, a bad owner, with no manners who underestimated customers. I left a tip for some help in training because education is the basis of everything...if you go there, be careful and good luck...I've eaten in many places and never had anything like this...

I am extremely disappointed with what we received in terms of freshness .. We made the booking long before with so much enthusiasm, since I had a great experience with the one in Copenhagen a few years ago and thought it would be at least similar.. We went for omakase to have the experience fully but lost all our appetite because the first two dishes with raw sea food was not fresh at all we both left the place with feeling nausea. I hope people pay attention with what they are serving specially when it comes to raw seafood . At least the waiters was gentle and understanding and sorry for our experience.

I'm seriously staring to think all the 5 star reviews are shills or people simply too embarrassed to admit their splurge was a waste. My TripAdvisor review laid out exactly how awful their "Nordic Taste" menu was (which their servers will push to suggest to you when you ask), and their quality manager Natalie D. replied: "the technique we cook isn't commonly used and it cannot satisfy everyone's taste." Since when did a method of gastronomy mattered? What matters is the tastebuds judging the outcome, not the method. Just save your money and go elsewhere, there's a fantastic family run restaurant in old town Geneva where we went on another day (La Thermometer”) and it was absolutely fantastic for a third of the cost.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, with its stylish combination of classic and modern. We went there for a birthday; we choose the chef's menu with 5 surprise courses and we added three glasses of wine combined to the courses. The 5 courses were: a starter (cavial) and a main starter, a main course, a dessert and a main dessert. Every course was exceptional and a special experience in world of new tastes. We really liked it. The waiter was prepared, precise and kind. We also appreciated the aperitive in the bar waiting for the table and the zero waste approach, an important philosophy for us. Finally, it was a pleasure to meet the Italian chef Francesca talking a few minutes about our Italian origins and making her the deserved compliments for her wonderful menu. If you are visiting Geneva, this is an experience to make for a different and special dinner (it's not a typical local cuisine).

A great experience!! We came to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary last weekend at the restaurant and had a wonderful evening. We came here for our final honeymoon dinner and it did not disappoint! We went with the tasting menu and everything tasted spectacular. Ludo and Matt were extremely helpful and provided great service. They went the extra mile and made our last dinner special with champagne and other nice touches. I’m not a big fan of seafood, but this restaurant is serving really good seafood The desserts also was amazing! It was pricey, but actually very cheap compared to other fine dining experiences we’ve had, and given how expensive Geneva can be, it was well worth the little extra for the massive jump in quality. Disgusting, disappointing and expensive. Gets two stars because of the friendly service. This restaurant gives a bad name to Nordic cuisine. We opted for the "Nordic experience" menu, at 95 CHF per person, without knowing exactly what will contain. After a so and so amuse-bouche, we were presented with a selection of pickled, salted and smoked raw fish, accompanied by various "dippings". All in all, completely unremarkable and requiring almost no cooking skill. In a touch that foretold the rest of the evening, on the plate there were also little bites of orange. After all the fish, a bit of citrus would have gone wonderfully, but no, this wasn't simple orange, it was brined orange. Imagine having a mouthful of seawater and you'll begin to understand how I felt immediately. "An oversight", I told myself, washing the salt away with water and wine. "I'm sure the delicious fish from the main dish will make it all worth it". I couldn't be more wrong. Imagine going to a place called Fiskebar and eating no cooked piece of fish... The main dish was actually composed of four dishes. First of all, there was an overcooked, rubbery abalone. Secondly, some balls of I don't remember what that were served in a bowl with warm water. The balls had the taste and consistency of uncooked dough. I thought that maybe the warm water was actually a broth, so I took a large spoon of what proved to really just be warm, slightly salted water. We both left the dish uneaten. The third dish was an artichoke with a nice design, but whose extremities were so hard and burned that they became sharp and were hurting my mouth. The dish was bland, oily and under-seasoned. The slices of truffle on top had no business being there, just exposing the overall clumsiness of the menu. Finally, on the fourth dish, some fish! It was french toast in lard with anchovies... It is hard to overstate how oily and disgusting it was. The decision to combine a fat dripping piece of toast with an extremely oily fish is baffling. The anchovies had the same taste as any other canned anchovies. We immediately stopped after one bite. For dessert we had a chocolate dish with hazelnuts, cocoa nibs and black truffle. The chocolate tasted cheap and the truffle was pointlessly added in an attempt to hide the lack of skill and imagination. Overall, a disaster. While the service was friendly and attentive, the waiter tried to convince us that it was basically our fault we didn't like the food. No one from the kitchen approached us about our complaints.

From a culinary perspective it was a fantastic experience. Originality, creative...from management perspective, we were shocked to hear that opening at lunch as well will be" too hard work" ( words used by the Chef).... shame that with this kind of mind set and 5* environment, they choose to open only 4 nights a week because it is too much work.....
