Absolutely delicious food, the best meal I've had in a long time (mixed plate and lemonade) - the setting is also great: the Markthalle is spacious, greatly located and very friendly.

The smoked Aubergine is amazing

Food is disgusting. No idea what it's supposed to be. Israeli cuisine at best has no tradition anyway. Go to real Arabs if you want to eat oriental food.

Had a delicious smoked Aubergine and lamb with bulgur and salad. Limited menu but flavorsome.

This food court is filled with good looking food. We ordered one of the eggplant plate and one lamb plate. The flavour pallette was incredible. Smoky egg plant, tahini sauce, yogurt, hummus, chilli sauce, subtle spice on the lamb, dates, and a proper salad. Food was delivered quickly, and the staff were nice.

Were there for the first time today. We were completely impressed by the food, the plate was beautifully presented, it was a taste tour of discovery on the plate. The grilled dates were very tasty, but the rest was also just great. Price-performance ratio is completely right. Come back again

Good price for the food, 23 CHF for lamb and aubergine plate, comes in decent portion. Good flavour and everything is fresh made. The restaurant locates in a food market hall where you have lots of cuisines to choose from. The food hall is 4-6 minutes walk to the station so it’s a very convenient place to go to.

The mujaddara with smoked aubergine is a real delight.

Delicious. We had the smoked eggplant with bulgur and salad. This will be cooked again… :-)

Get the Mix Platter. Both the meat and eggplant are very tasty. Especially, the unassuming grilled red dates.

For me, Flavors of Jerusalem is the best stand in the market hall in Basel!! The food is incredibly fresh and very tasty! The plates are prepared with a lot of love, are authentic and the taste is perfectly balanced. Although there is only a small selection (with and without meat), the plate creations are perfectly coordinated. The staff is also very friendly. I would like Flavors of Jerusalem to open another independent restaurant in Basel.

Best foodstand at Markthalle. Authentic Israeli food with Israeli craft beers. The lamb chops are very juice and tender, the smoked eggplant is just a flavor explosion alongside with.the crispy grilled dates and the bulgur nice and flaky. Highly recommendable. (non-כּשר)

An excellent experience. We tried the mix plate. Hummus, eggplant and salad were very tasty and fresh. The chops are really tender and cooked to perfection. A great taste journey!

Everything on this place is full of flavour and absolutely delicious. The lamp chops are amazing, highly recommended.

Fantastically good food (mixed plate). Different flavors, great variety. Maybe a little tight and expensive, otherwise perfect.

I had the mixed and and I feel that it is good value for the money. The eggplant tastes very strongly of smoke flavor - almost too much - but when I combined it with the other sauces/ hummus it was ok. Everything else was good. Plate was served quickly.

Top notch food and service. It is a small stall located inside the mall (which is located very close to the Basel SBB railway station). It is one of the best plates of food that I had in a long time. It was truly balanced as it had veggies and meat in the right proportion and was cooked to perfection. One plate is enough for 1 person to satiate their hunger and cravings both. Really recommended.

I took a mix plate, everything was delicious. Loved the food. They also have some Israeli beer.

Very tasty, with lots of components. Unfortunately, lamb chops were a bit overcooked. What I also found very unfortunate is that the pita bread was not homemade.

This is a food stand among plenty others in a big hall with place to eat. I took the mix plate, the lamb chops were very small! Fortunately the taste was there. I liked the grilled eggplant with tahini and pine nuts on top, the dates were delicious too

I found the menu with various components to be excellent, especially the smoked eggplant with hommos. Really very good flavors, although I somehow have the feeling that it was even better a few years ago. Relatively expensive: CHF 20/23 without bread. Friendly service, card payment possible without any problems.

I ate at Basel for the first time in October 2019 while studying abroad in Switzerland😀It was very delicious❗The Japanese woman working there was friendly and very kind. I haven't been able to go since then, but I would like to eat there again if I have the chance.
