My favourite restaurant in Basel! The redfish with celery mashed potatoes was divine! Fish was delicious and made to perfection and the celery addition to the mash was great, made the texture just perfect. The atmosphere is amazing, our table was overlooking the river and outside! Couldn't really ask for me!

The view from the terrace is sensational, with a wonderful view of the Rhine. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very inflexible and doesn't really care about the guests. Everyone in our group was still hungry after the main course (despite the starters). The portions are really small, and they even saved on the side dishes. Given the prices, you could at least expect to be full after your meal. A reservation on the terrace during the summer is mandatory.

I was able to get a seat outside without a reservation given the nice weather. The service was very friendly and attentive and I particularly noticed it positively. The dishes - starter: carpaccio, main course: zander fillet - tasted good and the non-alcoholic aperitif rounded everything off. Value for money is right. I can recommend Rhywyera to everyone and will go to this restaurant again on my next visit to Basel.

The food was fine, but the portions were very manageable. The restaurant receives 2 stars because the food tasted good. 3 stars deducted for the waitress who gossiped about my wife and me to the kitchen staff and was caught. That is not how it works.

Beautiful restaurant along the Rhine. Very nice ambiance although a bit noisy. I had the prawns and tomato risotto which was good but not great. Service was very good. Strange thing that in Switzerland with all its wonderful dairy products never offer you butter for its bread. Overall a very nice restaurant.

The meal, an entrecôte with vegetables and French fries, was very good. Ordered the entrecôte medium well and received it exactly that way! Deductions for dirty, greasy and broken menus as well as the service (clothes, forgot to ask about the starter, therefore reduced sales and unskilled).

We went here for my birthday. Everything was great - the food was great, no additives, everything was homemade. Rarely have I had such good food. I ordered the cordon bleu with spaetzle and another extra mushroom sauce. Very good. My parents had the schnitzel and char - they also really enjoyed it. The vegetables were also extra great in their own right. I don't normally order Hugo either, as it's usually too sweet, but this one was terrific. It sounds like advertising, but it's not :) so I would say a great insider tip! Thank you for your kind support! :)

It's a friendly and delicious place, but the veal steak is too salty for Koreans. If you're Korean, don't add salt. I recommend that you eat it yourself. Swiss food is salty It was small, had a nice view, and the wine was good. I was happy

Beautiful place on the Rhine where you can sit. Friendly service, but when we indicated that the meat was much too salty and that some pieces of it were white from the salt, the waitress started arguing with us. Also way too expensive, 44 euros for a steak that was too salty. The owner came to ask about it, we left it as is. I don't think it's recommended.

Rhywyera is one of our favourite restaurants in Basel. It is hard to find something to sit and eat along the rhine. If it combined with such good food and friendly personnel, that is even better. This should be on your list of regular restaurants for sure!

A small restaurant with delicious food and very friendly service, with a view of the Rhine. The food was freshly prepared, beautifully presented and the portions were not overly large. I've never had such good asparagus soup! I would be happy to recommend this restaurant. A reservation is required here, otherwise there will be no tables available during lunchtime.

Great location in front of the Rhine river although the terrace is rather small. Been few times. Staff is nice and considerate although this last time we waited 30min for our meal, which I think is a bit too much for lunch. Food is ok without being spectacular, but fresh. Overpriced, 48 quid for a single meal with a coke.

Location with a beautiful view of the Rhine river, possibility of having a table on the outdoor terrace or inside. My en place at the table is respected and you can see that there is care. The food is good. I tasted the tagliatelle which was good. The menu has a selection of dishes. Wines ok. Courteous service.

Das Rhywyera ist wunderschön direkt am Rhein in Kleinbasel gelegen (von der Schifflände zu Fuss in 3-4 Minuten über die mittlere Brücke - wobei man auch mit dem Tram über den Rhein fahren kann). Im Sommer kann man draussen auf der Rheinseite sitzen ohne Verkehrslärm. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Die Preise sind für die sehr gute zentrale Lage auch OK (knapp über 30 CHF für das Mittagsmenü mit Fisch und Getränk). Coronaregeln werden strikt befolgt (die Tische sind durch Hartplastik voneinander getrennt, das Personal trägt strikt Maske).

Einfach Hammer. Das Essen war sehr fein. Von der Vorspeise bis hin zum Dessert. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und sehr kompetent. Sie haben sich viel Zeit genommen und waren sehr aufmerksam. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Bel Endroit Plats sans originalité et absolument quelconque. Je mange mieux à la maison.

Das macht mir bei jedem Besuch rundweg viel Freude.Es ist immer fein und wir hatten da einen schönen Abend.

Nachtessen nach einem anstrengenden Swissbau Tag. Was für eine stilvolle Einrichtung in diesem Geschichtsträchtigen Haus. Sehr nettes Personal, die Chefin persönlich vor Ort und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen und der Wein einfach stimmig. Ein perfekter Abend. Nachträglich ein Dankeschön von der Unifil Frau und Mannschaft.

Tolle sonnige Terrasse am Rhein

Die Sitzplätze wurden anständig geputzt und die Stühle waren besonders bequem. Ich für meinen Teil hätte mich am liebsten erst mal durchgekostet, aber dann wäre kein Platz für das gute Mahl mehr gewesen. Das Personal hat flott, reinlich und freundlich gearbeitet. Ich kann dieses Restaurant sehr weiterempfehlen!

Wir feierten im Rhywyera unsere Hochzeit. Toller, aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Service. Die Planung im Vorfeld verlief reibungslos und wie gewünscht. Das Essen war ein Traum und die Zusammenarbeit sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten nichts auszusetzen. Danke an das gesammte Rhywyera-Team für diesen unvergesslichen Tag.

Pas mauvais en soi mais très quelconque. Repas globalement fades, classiques mas relativement chers. La vue est agréable et le service correct. Mais n'importe qui avec quelques notions de cuisine sera loin d'être impresionné par les plats.

Had lunch here with my husband for our anniversary. We were very pleased with our experience. Both service and food were perfect. We both had a soup to start with and my husband then enjoyed a beef ‘hunter’ with pasta and veggies while I had a tartare. Tartare came as a starter (19.5chf) or a main (34.5chf) so I ordered it as a main. I would’ve expected something (ie. fries) to come with it at that price. Only negative. The restaurant is situated on the Rhine river, with your choice of indoor or outdoor seating. It is not wheelchair or pram accessible unfortunately.
