Fredy dä Beck in Schlieren

Bought a marble cake, 24 francs. The cake has similar additives to those in the supermarket, but it costs less than half the price and requires less drying. Wrote this via email and never received a reply. The website promises crafts from the region. The additives are more of a ready-made mix from the wholesaler.

The place is cozy and nice drop-by right in front of the Schlieren trainstation. However, the staff are quite unfriendly and menu is super over priced for the quality you get. I order an americano coffee - got the cup smudged bt spilled coffee on the outside and the taste is super watery. This is for 5.10 CHF where other cafes will offer cheaper but much better coffee inside the Zurich HB. Don’t recommend it.

Hearty little restaurant with pastries, bread, coffee and bread. Employees are nice and serve customers quickly and efficiently. There are hardly any tables at peak times, so it's better to have off-peak times.

Unfortunately I was left standing at the counter without service🤷‍♀️🤨. For this reason I went to Consumerarion again. Service is "half-stroppy". Too bad🤷‍♀️. Then have a nice chat with coffee 🙂

What I think should be highlighted is the very friendly and nice atmosphere. I ordered a latte “large” and an almond croissant. Fri 1:20 p.m.! Either the coffee costs 10.00, or the almond peak costs well over 5.00... I asked and I'm not interested in what it cost in detail, but I won't even pay for a better latte of at least the same size in Zurich main station , a similar luxury price! And then you have to help clear the dishes yourself, which I love to do, but with these almost outrageous prices...

just this much on the topic..... I have a bakery almost 140 meters from the front door but I prefer to drive 10 minutes by car to this business. Perfect sandwiches/salads and especially the sweet pastries are a dream!!! See you soon......

Products are good, just a little too expensive

Just bought a chicken sandwitch, not great, not terrible. I was expecting a better bread quality. The one I got was just soft as an industrial bread store in a fridge. Maybe I will give it an other try some day because the place looks nice.

It is clear that a lattemacciato has a lot of newt foam. But if there's only 1/3 cup full of coffee in it, I think that's a disgrace considering the prices!

Best bakery in Schlieren. The sourdough bread is outstanding, I always repurchase from there whenever I can. Love that they have many vegan options, sweet and savory alike.

A beautiful and cozy coffee with very nice staff. Coffee/pastries/sweets all super fresh and very tasty. I can only recommend the coffee 👍 I go there often with the woman and I always feel very comfortable.

I think it's nice that there is a cafe in Schlieren that I've been dreaming of for a long time with cakes and in the summer with various ice creams It's a shame it's not open on Sundays. I'm not in favor of Sunday opening hours, but for a cafe there's almost no way around it. Free on Monday for that.

..so unfortunately unfortunately not always customer friendly either. The employee was very rude, the boss supported the situation against me instead of calming me down and taking care of me, the employee told me to speak clearly even though she was giggling with other colleagues and see I didn't understand. Everything fine... ...unless the latte unfortunately didn't taste as good as it looked. Therefore not 5 stars.

Bakery is ok but has some things to improve. - Cafe quality varies greatly. - In winter there is a draft throughout the bakery. A jacket is usually required. - Not particularly keen on experimenting. The standard program runs all year round. - Operation is not always aware of the impact of verbal and non-verbal communication. - Quality of the food varies greatly.

The products are exceptionally good. Unfortunately, I sometimes find the staff lacking in friendliness, which is why “only” four stars.

Top service and fine coffee. When we were there we lost track of time. Always a good sign.

In this area I always come here for a coffee at Fredy dä Beck. Offer plenty of great food. Well located and easy to reach by public transport and car. There is also a parking space right on the street here, as well as a suitable parking space for wheelchair users. I'd love to come back! :)

Friendly bakery. Worth highlighting are the great croissants, the apricot dream, the warm foccacia and the prepackaged pieces of cake (almost a little too sweet for my taste 😅). The coffee drinks are always freshly prepared using an espresso machine. For vegans there is plant-based milk, vegan croissants, vegetable foccacias and sandwiches. Small negative point: Unfortunately, electric heaters are often running in the back area because it drafts in through the glass door. This is not very ecological 🙈 I hope this will be fixed soon.

Hands down one of the best bakeries when it comes to fresh bread. Their bio sourdough ruchbrot is to die for…!

This morning (October 8th, 2021 shortly before 6 a.m.) on the A3 near Brugg towards Birrfeld, a company vehicle almost hit me behind. Was the driver perhaps distracted by a cell phone or something similar?

The bakery is a very nice and cozy place to have a coffee and a snack or have lunch. The food is very tasty and the service is very nice and friendly! I love it!

Perfect spot for a quick bite. I'd recommend the foccacia with buffalo mozzarella. I winter, there is not enough space to sit. Staff is friendly and price reasonable.

There are very good sandwiches and other niceties for an office lunch here. The service is quick and friendly. The ingredients are high quality - delicious bread, high-quality toppings and fresh greens. Prices are correspondingly high, but it is absolutely reasonable. The shop is small and it's worth getting there early enough during lunchtime, otherwise you'll have to queue.

Fredy's is one of the few bakeries which has freshly baked breads in Schlieren. They have a decent range of breads, I tried couple of them and I am pretty satisfied. I have every second day Fruchte-Joghurt brotli from here, which is filling, healthy and nutritious. The women at the counter seems friendly.

Was here and I liked it. For healthy enjoyment in between! It also has seating in front of the shop.
