The food and service were top!!! I will definitely visit Frisk Fisk again as there are still many options on the newly compiled menu that I would like to try :-)

We enjoyed a super lovely quiet lunch at Frisk fisk since it was a Monday. The waitress Roxy explained very elaborated& charming their concept & menue. Best was definitely the creamy fish soup. The salmon was very tender, the shrimp& mussel fresh. We also loved the baked salmon& " Backfisch" and French fries.

We came across this restaurant through a recommendation and don't regret it at all. Very cool and authentic (Nordic) atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service and excellent food (especially the salmon was first class!). Thanks to the team and we look forward to the next time

In summary, for the first time as a man of over six decades who has traveled a lot, I was able to experience a dinner for two that, from the reservation to the departure, was more than far superior to anything I had experienced in the past in the catering industry had.

Wow, that was a real failure! I reserved a table for five people on Valentine's Day. We arrived promptly at 7:00 p.m. and were neither greeted nor asked if we would like to order drinks. We were only noticed after half an hour. Then they had too few menus for the number of people. Two bottles of red wine were brought to the table even though we ordered white wine. Well, it can happen. But: After we ordered it took an incredible two hours until the Moules et Frites were served. The other four people received their food before me even though we specifically said when ordering: Please bring everything together. So I had to eat my dish alone when everyone was already finished. To make matters worse, the mussels were cold and probably overcooked, as they were very dry and hard to separate from the shell, so I didn't eat them. I asked if they would accommodate me with the price, as I was not prepared to pay their hefty price for such a “service”. The waiter said he would see what he could do. When we paid, the mussels were charged without comment and we were offered a bottle of wine as an apology. But we didn't want to pay for wine, we didn't want to pay for the cold mussels that were two hours late. Tip: Accept fewer bookings or hire more staff on fully booked evenings. And if there are such long waiting times, they offer a basket of bread or something so that the guests don't have to eat all the Valentine's Day chocolate because they are hungry. If I had been there alone, I would have left long ago. It's a shame, last year it was a good experience.

Very good seafood! Service is super friendly. The restaurant has good acoustics and you can have a good conversation, even if there are a lot of guests. You could easily have a person on duty. Nevertheless, the staff makes it confident and friendly!

It was not a good experience... me and my boyfriend went there for my birthday and were deeply dissapointed. First they brought the main course first before the appetizers. The appetizers were okayish, the oysters were supposedly number 3s, but they were smaller than a 2fr coin and very sandy with bits of shells... very disappointing! The main course was not good either, the seafood is cold and chewy and tasteless... you have to open all of the crab legs and lobster claws yourself with the utensils they give you. Absolutely not up to the price class you expect when you spend more than 200fr... you have to eat with your fingers and they don't even bring you sanitizer towels before food... the züri fries tasted like old moldy towels, in short like garbage. my boyfriend had informed the restaurant beforehand about my birthday and they brought the cake to the table next to us, who awkwardy informed the waiter that it was not their birthday. The waiter blew out the candle and put it on the counter; the same cake with the used candle was later served to me with an awkward apology... The ice tea tasted like the fluoride toothpaste gel from every swiss child's childhood... Two positive aspects about our experience were the lager beer which had a smoky flavor to it and the displays of the food was very pretty.

A Norwegian fish restaurant in Zurich! I couldn't miss this. First I had oysters “Hildegard Knef” 6 oysters size 3 beautifully presented on dark pebbles (it doesn't always have to be crushed ice) I didn't find the Cüpli particularly special and it was only barely poured. But enthusiasm arose when it came to the main course: LAKSER RAVIOLI Salmon ravioli filled with Norwegian salmon (beetroot) which was previously pickled in beetroot. They were whole pieces of salmon in long ravioli. Plus pumpkin cubes, pumpkin seeds, red pollock roe, garnished with herbs and served with a velouté It harmonized very nicely and was really tasty. To top it all off, I had a sea buckthorn sorbet (vitamin bomb) with a red cranberry sauce with slow gin and honey That was a highlight! The crew was very nice and patiently answered all of my questions. You can also buy the different types of salmon and take them home with you.

We went to Frisk Fisk on Thursday evening and it was outstanding. The service was very attentive and friendly, the food was very good. We'll definitely come back.

I’ve been here twice and loved it each time - once for lunch including the delicious smørrebrød pictured here, and once for a tasty multi course dinner. The fish tastes fresh and the selection is great. Would highly recommend!

Cozy fish restaurant, not too cramped and noisy like elsewhere in Dörfli. Very nice service. The food was fine, the moules frites were plentiful. The wine list is a bit reduced for my taste. So that you don't feel like you've been ripped off by buying bread for 5 francs, it's served with a wooden knife and cress in a flower pot. Züri-Fries are French fries where the chef was too lazy to peel the potatoes, but they cost a franc more 🤪. They were crispy and fine.

Tasty food. My husband really liked the mussels. I liked the salmon sashimi and the soy sauce with lime and honey. The chocolate cake was delicious. Very nice service.

There were two of us and I had this restaurant on my list because it is said to have a Nordic feel. The name says "frisk fisk" - fresh fish... Service: First we were seated at the back of the restaurant, after about 15 minutes the waiter told us we had to sit somewhere else. The table was apparently reserved (we also had a reservation, by the way). Unfortunately, such a faux pas says a lot about the quality of the service and the organization. Something on the house like wine or co. was not offered to us. We were placed at the front next to the entrance and then we had to wait. The service staff seemed overwhelmed, there was no structure and there was apparently not enough staff. Tables with leftovers were not cleared for a long time and that unfortunately detracts from the overall picture. Eat: Below average for the price... that's not even justified by the location! Fish was ok, the side dishes were bland and the mashed potatoes were very reminiscent of stocki from the pack. I expressed my criticisms to the young lady (unfortunately I don't know her name) when paying. She was the only one who asked us if it was good and got our opinion. Because of her 2 stars for service and not one. I have roots in Denmark myself and know the local cuisine well. Other than the fact that I ate fish, there was certainly nothing Nordic about it. I hope the person responsible takes the criticisms seriously & I wish the team all the best.

Eating at Frisk Fisk is truly a delight. We tried all three fish main courses on the menu and each one was a poem. Harmoniously perfectly balanced with surprising and unusual flavor compositions. Unfortunately we weren't entirely impressed by the service. The only employee present was very friendly and well-positioned, but also very “shirtless”: After clearing away, the cutlery was slammed into the containers behind the counter and the plates were stacked on top of each other very noisily, so that we sometimes felt like we were in a large laundry room. Knocking out the powder piston of the coffee machine also rivaled a jackhammer (of course I'm exaggerating). The fact that he only speaks English wasn't a problem for us. The atmosphere is modern and we liked it. The Frisk Fisk in Niederdorf is definitely worth a visit.

An exceptional fish restaurant. The raw ingredients are uniformly of the highest quality, but there is more. The preparation is innovative, thoughtful and perfectly excuted. From the outside looking in the restaurant seems like nothing special, but inside it is magic.

Lovely place to grab oysters and seafood. All fresh, very good quality, well paired in taste with sides and drinks. A well-thought-through menu and a great relaxing atmosphere. The waiter was a good help in choosing food and drink, which made a great dining experience.

I visited because of a friend's recommendation and ordered the 3 Course set meal. The chef paired the recommended dishes and served appetizers. All I can say is: quite delicious! ! Had a great night 🥰

Really enjoyed the quality and freshness of the food along with the friendly service here. We tried the pot au feu ( really a bouillabaisse with a twist), sashimi and salmon variation and the smoked salmon of the day: all delicious. The amuse-bouche on the house was also a very tasty touch. We purposely chose a variety of small plates to try different flavors and enjoyed our meal. Will go back!

The salmon here is incredible! I came in March and had dinner (10/10) and again in August for lunch (8/10). I will say the dinner in March was out of this world. I had the chefs menu which was 4 courses with a wine pairing and the service was incredible (+100 CHF). I even got a free sample to start! I came back in March and had lunch here (salmon bagel and salmon variation) (~50 CHF), but service was not nearly as good. Still, I highly recommend due to the very tasty salmon 🤙

First time going to this restaurant: Reservation was for summer evening so we sat outside. The place itself is small but it has a nice relaxed vibe. Also, the menu well thought and not overcrowded which is a plus. We ordered raw oysters, salmon and white wine. The food was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. The waitress was very friendly and helped us with recommendations. Pricewise it's not the most budget friendly but hey, you are choosing to eat a certain type of seafood...in Zurich (I rest my case). Conclusion, I would recommend it and I would go again.

Cozy restaurant in the middle of Zurich. Very nice staff. Delicious beer and fine food. Especially the bread, with very tasty spreads and small flower pots with fresh cress... super cool idea and super tasty. Salmon and mussels also very tasty. Price performance ok.

Superb food - the scallops with gnocchi are delicious and beautifully plated. Service is solid and the daily specials are also pretty good too. This place is a not-so-hidden jewel in the midst of dozens of other restaurants.

I want through the hassle to create a Gmail account just to post this review. I have been in Zurich for 30 years and I cannot recall an experience as bad as this one. I have got a nice impression on the quality of food via my commerce association. I tasted some sandwiches over an event and they were nice. With the intention to support the Nordic community in Zurich I have paid a visit to the restaurant. First, on Sunday they don’t serve the regular menu. The street food menu is minimal and complete overpriced. Second, the only interest dish that I carefully chose was not available. You should inform you guests upfront. Third, only was person was serving making the process very small (understaffed). I don‘t believe you can serve a fish and chips in a small plastic container where you cannot cut it and the paper attaches to the fish for 36 CHF. I am fine with street food but then you need to reduce the price. I have exposed myself inventing my husband for dinner. We were both disappointed and I had to excuse myself. How embarrassing. Absolutely to avoid!

Very very tasty salmon! The main dish salmon was perfect combined with pumpkin purée and vegetables, crispy and soft. The starter was also nice with a touch of miso. The atmosphere is very cozy and love the staff! Got a small dish free to try and it was very tasty as well!

They have the best salmon in switzerland. I have tried a lot but this is far the best! Their restaurant is outstanding for fish and seafood. Definately a must!

It's a great fish/seafood restaurant - dishes are creative, very tasty and the ingredients are fresh and top quality. Oysters are especially nice, it's hard to find this sweet meaty variety. Staff is friendly and service is swift. Good wine selection and quite good cocktails (mostly Gin-based). The only thing, it's quite expensive, main courses 40+ CHF - so not quite the level Google suggests. The quality matches the price, but thought it's a useful thing to know.

We ordered an appetizer to share. But we were each served a full portion. There can be no problem. We paid everything including the tip, but we still hoped for more than the statement: “You ate it so you agreed to it”. Hospitality is different but the food was very good.

The food was extremely tasty, the service was top notch. Only the side dishes were missing. There were 4 (!) Schupfnudeln hidden under the pile of spinach. There was no real side dish for the other main course. A pity!

Lady who was working decided to have a 5 min conversation while I was waiting to pay and the gentlemen she was talking to even saw me and instead of saying something he just continued to talk to her the entire time until I finally decided to cough so she could hear me. That is not even the worse part. She told me that my card was not working even though we tried multiple time. Turns out that was a complete lie!! I was charged three different times and instead of her helping she just said "we will be in contact via email"

I am definitely coming back! I knew the previous restaurant Mohrenkopf and I love that they didn't change much of the interior and the vibe is super relaxed. Service was very attentive and the food was top-notch! I recommend their draft pale ale, very nice and crisp. Perfect portion sizes. We took the surprise menu "Chef's Choice" and weren't disappointed with the execution of the salmon cook. The dessert was excellent too (poppy seed cake topped with chestnut mousse).

It’s a pity - the place and the food is excellent - the service is not up to standard - way too long waiting time to order - to get attention - bread and butter came after the dinner - very friendly service but the front of house is a mess and they can’t keep up. Adding up the price for the food compared to the service and experience it’s not value for money.

Super tasty, definitely not the last time!

Delicious seafood and beautiful presentations of dishes in the good atmosphere. There is not grand menu but every food made me so satisfied. The portions are small, so we tried several dishes.

What happened last night can still be improved. - The table to the left of the entrance is very poorly placed! How am I supposed to squeeze through to the bench in the 10cm between the two tables? The waiter sees our puzzled faces as we assign the table, says Tip Top and runs away. - Please organize your kitchen better. At an upscale seafood restaurant, the visitor experience is very important. Waiting almost two hours for a slice of salmon is definitely too long. We didn't feel like drinking the glass of white wine that was offered. + The food was excellent. Top salmon and oysters. Overall, it was an experience that can be improved in the future. Edit: - Matteo called me and I adjusted the rating accordingly.

Disappointingly underwhelming flavors and variety, drastically over priced. OK I get it, Frisk Fisk styles itself as a Scandinavian upmarket restaurant focused on salmon. Unfortunately, having fresh and high-quality ingredients does not always result in flawless execution from the kitchen. In fact, as we experienced, the ingredients are also sometimes questionable. We ordered the five course “Chef choice“ menu. Four of the courses were served cold, with only the final course as a warm option (more on this below). By the third course, the “go to” garnishing of dill and parsley, started to bore us. Additionally, although artfully presented - beyond the visual, there was very little flavor to be found in each of the dishes. Dining is also about flavor and the atmosphere in which it is served. The three biggest disappointments included the second course, which was a single scallop on a bed of kale, with flavorless mustard seeds. The scallop tasted as if it was prepared in well in advance, and simply placed on the shell when we ordered. Thankfully, under the kale was a surprisingly tasty sauce, which almost compensated for the overly dried up scallop. The third course, a ceviche, which had a sauce so plentiful, unbalanced and acidic, that the drenched seafood ingredients were completely lost. I can only surmise the kitchen needs a place to dispose of near spoiling ingredients. The final course, a salmon fillet, with yes, you guessed it – more dill and parsley, arrived at our table, barely lukewarm and somewhat undercooked. A very nice cut of salmon, but completely devoid of any flavor or seasoning, and the temperature was a complete turn off. At Fr.300 for two people, this restaurant exemplifies how millennial generation Swiss will spend money for anything trendy and Instagram ready. Make no mistake, this restaurant enjoys its success to the fact that there are so few seafood options in Zurich. Put this restaurant anywhere in Scandinavia, and it would close within a few months. Frisk Fisk - Michelin prices for truly mediocre food.

Looks quite inconspicuous from the outside - also because of the surroundings. Inside, however, the restaurant surprises with a lot of coziness and good food - we'll definitely come back!

Found this place by coincidence, but we were super pleased with our meal and service at Frisk Fisk. The staff is very welcoming and professional, the food, including all the ingredients is top quality as well as delicious. Impeccable visit, highly recommend it.
