My favourite Sushi restaurant 🫧🥰 Qirin stands out with its exquisite blend of traditional and modern dining. The ambiance and service instantly set a high standard, welcoming guests warmly. Its menu shines with fresh, flavorful sushi and inventive dishes. The attentive staff ensures every visit feels special, making Qirin not just a meal, but an experience to cherish. A definitive must-visit .

Nice place for sushi. We were there on Saturday evening without reservation and managed to get a place for 3 people. We ordered different types of sushi and drinks. Everything was delicious

This place is mostly about the looks. I tried 3 types of sushi, the Blondine inside out were the best ones, interesting taste, and some originality. The veggie tempura and the Oshinko Maki are pretty basic. The miso soup tastes like any, definitely not home made. The service was very slow, and, with the exception of one of the waitresses, not friendly. I waited over 20 min to have my order taken. In one word: good for Instagram, but not so special in terms of taste.

My visit to Qirin offered an overall delicious sushi experience, although there are small points of improvement. I would particularly like to highlight the fried tempura rolls, which impressed with their flavor and crunch and offered a perfect balance between rice and filling. The inside-out rolls were also delicious. A small point of criticism would be the “Qirin Special Dragon Roll Z”, which was garnished with mayonnaise a little too richly for my taste, which meant that the subtle nuances of the individual ingredients faded into the background. The staff were consistently friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant invited you to linger, which made the stay very pleasant.

Just ordered from Uber Eats. The salmon was good but the chicken teriyaki and hotake were clearly not fresh.

Even though we both work nearby, we haven't noticed this place yet. We were there over lunch and were served quickly and friendly. The sushi was excellent and was something different than just avocado and salmon. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back!

Sorry but I was extremely disappointed to get sake after 1h and sushi after 35 mins when I came two times and asked for it. Guess what waiter told me: sorry for the delay but you have 2h to stay. I was furious and said I'm sorry but I came on time so it's your fault... and he told me again about 2h consept. No more..I pay the money...and I want a better service

Food excellent as always. Service allows wish left. Dessert and other things were forgotten, but were then charged. The money is then given back in small coins.

The place is pleasant, and the food is alright. However, the mochi was served a bit too frozen. The gin tonic is not very good but a bit too strong for me. On the bright side, it's not too crowded, so you can enjoy a more relaxed dining experience.

The food is fantastic and there is a large selection of sushi. I can especially recommend the tempura. However, the waitress is not very attentive and walks around the restaurant looking at the floor. This could be improved, then it would really be 1A in all respects. The restaurant should also consider Isn't there another option for pickups via Uber Eat etc. because the suppliers are standing around in the middle of the restaurant?

Order placed at 5 p.m. for pickup at 7:30 p.m. Showed up at the store at 7:33 p.m., nothing was ready, then I was told I had to wait another 15 minutes. At 8:00 p.m. I first received an incorrect order and then at 8:04 p.m. I finally received my food. NEVER AGAIN

Today we had dinner again in our favorite restaurant - Qirin Altstetten. Great service, best sushi variations, great ambience, large selection, high-quality and beautiful furnishings. Our personal favorite: fried octopus & 101 sake tempura with the best watermelon ice tea. We can recommend Qirin to anyone looking for the best sushi in town. A personal thank you to employee Phat, who always appears personable and is very friendly. Without him, Qirin is not Qirin.

We had celebrated a birthday... the greeting was, you have 2 hours if we needed the tables, as informed by phone. Someone who only spoke English asked questions about what was unclear when ordering the menu! Many dishes are spicy and not noted on the menu! All the waiters are nice, but unfortunately very inattentive when we wanted to order more drinks, also when clearing away, etc. The place is cozy and we had 2 small children who were making a bit of noise and they were very understanding. Unfortunately, it's not a restaurant that I would recommend to friends!

We visited the restaurant for the first time in Zurich. We googled it and chose it because of the many beautiful photos, but we were disappointed. Many of the beautiful photos come from another branch.

The best way to describe Qirin after stepping in would be to borrow description of Tardis from Doctor Who - it is bigger on the inside. What used to be a local Italian, has been turned into minor miracle. If you drop the prejudice about Altstetten and ignore the building's facade - step into Japan inspired restaurant. The interior is flawless, snuggly - and then comes the food. OMG, how to stop eating(Kraftwerk springs to mind and the lyrics change into Sushi non-stop)? Surprise yourself, visit Qirin.

This restaurant impressed me with its selection of sushi and drinks. I didn't like the service, we found a beer cork in our lemonade. Thanks to the waiters we were compensated for this, but also for another sushi menu for which the money was not refunded. By the way, the view from the terrace is one of the best in Lucerne💗

Probably the best sushi in all of Zurich. Great show when serving and a great selection! There's definitely something for everyone and the special sushi with cheese gratin, for example, is awesome! Price and performance are absolutely right. The ambience is also super nice! We'll definitely be back very soon! Very well attended over lunch, everything was done right!

Very good quality of food let's say I was happier the last time I went a couple of months ago... I just hope I had a bad day, I don't know what was missing that I find in the other qq sushi I hope to find it here too next time the rice was a little sticky but all in all we will return

The sushi is very fresh and tasty, there are warm and cold ones on the large Qirin platter, it is the most expensive at 35.- but it is definitely worth the money. Top service, very friendly and quick. The ambience is a bit too loud when it's full, but with the music it's still possible to have a conversation while eating.

We went to eat here for lunch. The waiting time was almost 1 hour. Behind us you could clearly hear the staff talking through the chef? or something like that and not in a nice way. In addition to the drinks, which were completely mixed up, we continued with the main course. Here too the order was recorded incorrectly. Somehow there seemed to be a complete worm in here that day...Unfortunately not a good experience...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Qirin Sushi Restaurant in Altstetten, Zurich and would like to share my experience. The first thing that struck me was the exceptionally delicious quality of the food. The sushi creations were truly exquisite and it was obvious that a lot of care was put into the preparation. I found the special sushi with raclette cheese particularly impressive. This combination may sound unusual, but it worked surprisingly well. The tender fish and the melted raclette cheese complemented each other perfectly and created a wonderful explosion of flavor. Unfortunately, I have to mention that despite the delicious food, we were left with a bit of a disappointment. The portions were really very small, especially considering the high prices. We paid around 70 CHF per person and although the quality of the food was impressive, the quantity wasn't enough to satisfy our hunger. It was a shame that we had to leave the restaurant almost hungry. Aside from this aspect, the ambience at Qirin Sushi was pleasant and the staff friendly and attentive. The presentation of the dishes was attractive and the restaurant provided a pleasant atmosphere for dinner. Overall, I would recommend Qirin Sushi Restaurant in Altstetten, Zurich if you are looking for quality sushi. The extraordinarily delicious creations and the interesting selection of special sushi with raclette cheese are definitely worth a visit. However, it is important to note that the portions are quite small compared to the prices, so one may want to consider additional orders to satisfy hunger.

Good sushi from an extensive menu. The fried octopus were great, the nigiris and tuna rolls were tasty. The service is friendly and you can also sit outside. We paid 130 francs for 2.

I ordered sushi via Ubereats. The raw fish quality was poor (salmon and spicy tuna): a very strange consistency and after taste. It wasn’t tasty and made me want to throw up. I couldn’t finish them. I will not order there again.

Aside from taste, Qirin impresses with stunning presentation. The use of smoking dry ice adds an exciting touch. In short, Qirin is a great spot for top-notch sushi in a comfortable setting. It's creative, tasty, and visually appealing. Highly recommended!

Five of us went to the Qirin sushi restaurant and received fantastic service from Phat. His service was outstanding and made our evening perfect. Phat was friendly and attentive, showed us to a suitable table and was available to help us throughout the evening. The quality of the food at Qirin was impressive, with perfectly prepared sushi and fresh ingredients. Phat's care and professionalism made our visit to Qirin unforgettable. I recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent sushi and first-class service.

Regrettably, my initial encounter with the esteemed sushi establishment left much to be desired. Eager to explore the diverse range of sushi offerings, including the chef's specialties, my party and I were met with profound disappointment. The flavors, or lack thereof, failed to stimulate our palates, with one particular creation, purportedly infused with cheese, evoking a most pungent and evocative resemblance to the scent of robustly odiferous feet. Additionally, our foray into the realm of culinary indulgence extended to a sampling of beef wagyu, only to be met with a disheartening experience akin to that of partaking in a sponge saturated with an excessively saline solution. Moreover, our patience was strained as we languished for over an hour, despite the conspicuous absence of patrons within the premises. Alas, no amends were proffered nor any indications of commendable service were observed. Although the service was not explicitly abhorrent, it regrettably fell short in terms of attentiveness and finesse. To compound our woes, the denouement of our dining experience manifested in the form of an arduous ordeal during the settlement of the bill. Initially, our chosen method of payment was met with refusal, precipitating a vexing struggle to rectify the matter. Eventually, upon receiving change, our elation proved short-lived, as it became apparent that the sum returned to us was grievously insufficient, diverging significantly from the rightful amount. In summation, my inaugural visit to this sushi establishment, while perhaps inadvertently amusing in its ineptitude, left an indelible mark of dissatisfaction upon my discerning gastronomic sensibilities.

Food looks good, staff is ok. Waited an hour until the waiter came back after a complaint and said the food would come in 20-30 minutes, then when I said that that was absolutely not ok, the food suddenly came...

The restaurant doesn't even deserve this one star. First we had to wait an hour, after we asked how long it would last, they forgot our order. When we asked how long we would have to wait for the new order, the cellar said 40 minutes. He said he offered us the drinks as an apology, then when we said it was taking too long he brought us the bill of 23.00 for the homemade iced tea and water. NEVER AGAIN!

Japanese restaurant in our neighborhood. I like classic things but I was disappointed here. We were not offered an aperitif. The water carafe never arrived. As for the dishes ordered, the crab rolls were saturated with mayonnaise (I was really disappointed). Of course it's asparagus season but there was it everywhere and the same for the small fish eggs which in my opinion adds nothing. Always difficult to find a good Japanese restaurant....
