Nice tapas restaurant, food was great!

For a Valentine's Day meal....I will remember it. The meal was excellent, however one dish was forgotten: no excuse and the icing on the cake.....not even the coffees offered!!!!!

Olivia's driving lesson took us to Estavayer-le-Lac last Wednesday evening. It was a good opportunity to have dinner and we chose this Spanish restaurant on the border of the medieval town center. It's nicely decorated and you are exceptionally well received and taken care of throughout your meal. Food is cooked to the minute using local products when available. Being vegetarian leaning, we chose tapas that we found better than in most Spanish restaurants we have visited in the past. The only negative point is that you have to trow your clothes in the washing machine when getting home because of the smell of frying oil.

Super charming restaurant, the interior is small and clear and the terrace over the street... perfectly located. Chapeaux for the waiters who have to cross these every day!! The camarones on the plancha are excellent for the rest of the tapas!! The relacion de calidad-precio is super good!

The owners changed at the end of 2021. The cuisine is Iberian. Bosses are a very friendly couple. Their homemade ice cream is all the rage, and the flavors make it original. Rich choice of excellent quality foreign and Swiss wines; Madame knows it perfectly.

Superb restaurant for a unique culinary experience, mixing local cuisine with Spanish style. From starter to dessert, everything is just excellent. The homemade rhubarb sorbet is to die for. The setting is really nice and the staff are particularly smiling and friendly. I really appreciated the menu with local and seasonal products. I really recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is a gem, the owners are just adorable and passionate. I've been there 5-6 times and I've never been disappointed, the welcome is great, the decoration is super original, but above all, the dishes are very well cooked, original and regional! (Congratulations to the chef, he is discreet but works wonders) It's simple, when someone asks me if I know a good restaurant in the region, I recommend Frogs directly! Thank you for existing and continuing to be on top!

Our best Swiss meal by far, so nice to meet people who are incredibly passionate about where their food & drink comes from. The service was incredible too, so kind & happy, suggesting to try their local ale to begin with, advice with the local wine, etc. Don't mess about, book in & just go & try it. Our dog was made most welcome too. THANK YOU 👍 😋

endliche ein restaurant mit autentischer und ehrlicher küche. die speisen sind autentisch gewürzt und nicht wie vielerort ein „ich hab angst und würz nicht zu autentisch“. wir hatten wild in 2 kombinationen fleisch: eines mit herrlicher wunderbar gewürzer sauce und eines fein gegart auch genau passend abgeschmeckt. dir bedieundvsehr freundlich und das interieur top und originell.wir müssen wiederkommen.

We used to eat several times at the « Frogs and Roses » and enjoyed every single visit.It always starts with a very warm welcome from the tenants who then take time to explain the full menu.Every dish is 100% home made from local and seasonal products. This is for me a great asset of this restaurant!The chef master his receipts which gives an incredible taste to these local raw products from the starter to the dessert.I would therefore definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who’s looking for an excellent casual dinner in Estavayer-le-Lac.

Magnificent gourmet stopover on the road from Zurich to Lausanne. It must be said that there was everything to please us: adorable welcome from the owners, original “flea market decor” setting, simple menu and tasty cuisine using exclusively local products. The digestive stroll in the beautiful old town of Estavayer allowed this stop to end in the best possible way. THANKS.

Une étape sur la route et nous voici au Frogs and Roses Café pour une magnifique soirée : le repas est excellent et original (menu chasse ce soir là). Le propriétaire et serveur nous régale de ses explications, de son humour et de sa passion pour les brocantes. Allez-y sans hésiter !

Toujours aussi bon et sympa et comme nous sommes 100% en accord avec le concept du local et bonne qualité. Ambiance très chaleureuse et une cuisine raffinée. Nous avons passé un agréable moment. Merci et ne changez rien.

Zwar gibt es nur ein Menü aber dieses war sensationell. Alles lokale Produkte in hervorragender Weise angerichtet und präsentiert.Der Gastgeber ist mit Herzblut bei der Sache und kennt alle seine Produkte in- und auswendig. Zu jedem Bier, zu jedem Essen kann er ein paar Worte erzählen und begeistert so jeden Gast.Wir haben es wahrlich genossen und kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

Je me suis arrêté totalement par hasard au Frogs & Roses Café.La salle de restaurant est très agréable, on s'y sent bien. le menu du jour appétissant. Ma fille prends les escargots, et moi le croustillant poires / bleu. en plat, je prend le chamois. Tout est vraiment délicieux, chaque bouchées, un vrai régal. (Le patron connaît tous ses produits, tous ses fournisseurs ). Merci a votre cuisinier ;-) nous nous sommes régalés. Merci aussi pour votre accueil , nous avons quasiment l'impression d'aller manger chez des amis. Nous reviendrons avec le reste de la famille.

J’ai connu l’épicerie antérieure à ce bistrot. C’est un lieu toujours aussi original. Il y a à voir, à boire des produits intéressants et à manger des mets succulents. Et pour ne rien gâcher, un couple de tenanciers formidables, sympathiques et créatifs.

Es war ein so tolles Menü. Einfach ausserordentlich fein. Am liebsten gerade noch einmal! Die Location ist so schön im Vantage Stil eingerichtet, man fühlt sich wohl hier.
