Fürenalp in Attinghausen

Highly recommended. We rented a fondue sleigh for the four of us and 2 of them. The fondue sleigh was prepared with everything and is a great idea from the host couple. The food is very good 5 stars moderately. They try very hard. Also top staff. A call To all future guests consider this restaurant it's worth it.

In the middle of the mountains, this mountain restaurant not only offers impressive views, but also fresh and lovingly prepared food. The friendly service and the cozy atmosphere invite you to linger. A true gem for anyone who wants to be pampered with culinary delights in nature.

All the employees are VERY friendly, extremely courteous and very professional and have a wonderful sense of humor. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case in many places in the catering industry these days. I felt very comfortable and almost like “at home”. Thank you very much and continued success!

Great mountain restaurant - located at an amazing place, accessible by cable car (or foot), great food (also impeccably served), quick and friendly service.

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. The boss and the boss are helping out. Despite the big request, everything goes quickly and there is always time for a kind word. Some companies can take an example from this.

This is a grievance post! We visited fürenalp on 26th Dec. After sledding for a while, my 20 months old daughter was hungry. I immediately ran into the restaurant with her along with my 4-year-old son to grab something quickly to eat. The restaurant was crowded. We were first in the line waiting for a table to sit. My daughter was crying continuously while we were waiting. For our surprise, no staff attended us. They didn't even bother to make an eye contact. We were totally ignored and the guests who were next in line were offered tables to sit. We waited for about 20 minutes in line. Felt extremely humiliated. Luckily, a couple from Netherlands (forever grateful to their kind gesture) observed us and offered their table for us to sit, calmed my daughter down and offered her something to eat. Dear restaurant owners, never were we treated like this in Switzerland. I don't want to give it a racial angle, but the way we were treated was nothing short of a discrimination based on our origins. Please be kind to everyone.

Small mountain restaurant near the small gondola lift

The via ferrata at Fürenalp is undoubtedly a challenge for experienced climbers. This challenging via ferrata offers thrills and breathtaking views that are worth every drop of sweat. We felt safe and well prepared as we carried the necessary equipment and followed safety measures. After completing the via ferrata, we were rewarded with panoramic views of the Alps. Our next step took us to the Fürenalp mountain inn. This inn is a real treasure. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the Swiss cuisine was a feast for the senses. We enjoyed the time to relax after our climbing adventure and sample local specialties. The hospitality at the mountain inn was remarkable, and it was the perfect end to an exciting day. Overall, the Fürenalp via ferrata and the mountain inn were an unforgettable experience. A must for adventurers who want to reward themselves with culinary delights after a day full of challenges.

Absolutely outstanding! Prime location, reachable directly with the Fürenalp cable car, close to the summit cross. There is delicious food and very friendly staff serve extremely quickly and are always in a good mood. We recommend.. Wednesday is recommended as a hiking day on Fürenalp, especially for people who like it a little quieter. Special thanks to the hard-working host couple Josepha and Urs, who are always happy to look after their guests despite their workload...

Nice restaurant in a beautiful environment. We did try food, but it looked very tasty. The service was very kind and quick. It is conveniently located literally few steps from the cable car so I recommend for people who want to enjoy their food with nice views without too much work. Otherwise, the area is amazing to hike around.

Very nice service, fine food that is also pleasing to the eye. The playground with the marble run and the trampoline is also great fun for the little guests.

We were there for dinner. The meal was excellent. The service was courteous and attentive. The view of the steep south face of the Titlis and the mountain range behind it is great in spring.

It was good, but nothing more. Service wasn't quite up to par (a dish was mixed up and forgotten, but there was no apology). Good atmosphere, nice mountain restaurant.

Great tenants, friendly, great food. Great ideas. We rented 2 fondue sledges. A great idea from the tenants. The fondue was super seasoned with white wine. Pepper and bread and 1/2L of white wine. A very good idea. The tenants actually had it Not only very good food, but also very good ideas. I can only recommend this restaurant.

We were on the beautiful terrace on Monday the 20th. What should be mentioned here, in addition to the service and very good cuisine, is the very good wine selection. We had a brilliant day. Thank you for the very good hospitality. We have been here several times and will come again.

Beautiful mountain restaurant at the end of the Engelbergertal. Easily accessible with the gondola lift. Can also be reached via various hiking trails. As a chef, I can only recommend the service and the cuisine.

Worst place in my life, the waitress is very rude and has no respect for the guests, it was very unpleasant to talk to the waitress, she must be very unhappy in her life. I will never return to this place again

The majestic mountain scenery alone is fantastic, plus the beautiful Fürenalp mountain restaurant with great service and cuisine. We can highly recommend Kaiserschmarrn and fish crispy, all freshly prepared. Lovely little card and wonderful hosts.

Very cozy Gadtstube with a beautiful terrace and fantastic views of the Titlis. Also recommended to stop off before setting off on a mountain tour.

Even though it was already 3 p.m., the terrace was still full. And yet the service staff was still very, very friendly and attentive and the plates looked like we were the first guests of the day. Hats off to so much professionalism and joy in the work. Keep it up.

Was at Fürenalp yesterday, thank you very much for the nice service on the terrace. Unfortunately, many staff forget that every guest should be served regardless of whether they are alone at the table. Ultimately, a single dining guest leaves more behind than three people who just drink. So a big compliment, no difference is made on Fürenalp. Excellent. The daily menu with fish was very good. The day in Engelberg was a success.

We enjoyed a delicious meal on the sun terrace on January 25th, 2022 in wonderful weather. Dädi's minced meat patties with homemade mashed potatoes were very good! The service was very friendly. We'd love to come back.

Was sooooo good! I got the macaroni and cheese, it was to die for!! Def recommend. Though I did order the hot chocolate and it just came in a packet, so I would skip that. Otherwise, don’t miss out!!! Was delicious 🤤 and of course the views are incredible

I'm disappointed by the prices. For half a liter of red wine Fr.40.00 is too much. We consumed 143.00 and also had to pay for water.

The Fürenalp mountain restaurant and the valley station have been newly renovated and are definitely worth a visit. Friendly service, good, tasty selection, great place to go for long hikes. We come here regularly after we have completed the via ferrata.

Menu from the Alps as only the Swiss know how to make it in typical mountain style. Fondue, raclette, bacon, Rösti, spätzli, potatoes etc... Drinks from the region, ice creams, and many other things. I enjoyed myself. Look at what I ordered, it looks amazing.

Surprisingly delicious food, and presented very nicely. Excellent service. Recommend a meal and a Moscht (Trüb) at the end of a hike up. And of course, there is a wonderful view!

After climbing up from the via ferrata, we treated ourselves to fries, homemade iced tea, an aperitif drink and a strawberry cake. Everything was very good, the staff was very friendly and attentive.

Beautiful terrace and top food, courteous staff and starting point for various hikes. Unfortunately the cable car is overpriced, e.g. B. with half-fare or guest card 1.- or if returned 2.- discount is a joke and therefore discourages guests from visiting this great restaurant.

After the via ferrata, the lost calories are replenished in the restaurant. The Älplermagrone always taste very good. The service is always very warm and friendly. A big thank you! And the new terrace has also become beautiful and invites you to linger. See you next time!

A beautiful hike from the Talstatin Fürenalp to the Fürenalp, in about 3 hours. You reach the Fürenalp and then just enjoy the great view.

Great mountain restaurant. Raclette Rösti and Kaiserschmarrn were very tasty. Unfortunately we were unlucky with the weather and couldn't enjoy the view on the Grotzliweg.

Wunderbarer Ort für den Abschluss eines Wandertages. Schöne Terrasse, sehr angenehmes Servicepersonal und alleine die Cremeschnitte ist die Anreise wert. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder!
